We were so well looked after for our wedding here and had a beautiful, hassle-free day with so much care and attention to detail - cant recommend enough!!😍

Wow, this place is fantastic. The restoration work that went into it is amazing and their modern event and hotel facilities are really great. I attended a wedding that took place here and the logistics were handled beautifully. The food and drink was perfect with lots of options for everybody. I also love how they've been careful to do a green restoration and offer habitats for animals that had settled in the castle.

What an amazing location! My boyfriend and I stopped here in our road trip through Germany. It is truly an unbeatable venue. The town is a bit dead, but the castle is awesome. Food at the hotel was debtor prices. Their own cellar beer was quite good but the burger I had seemed like a frozen patty. Still! No complaints with the price :)

All the feels at this beautiful medieval castle - we held a wedding here and it was stunning. Staff are wonderful and helpful. Because of rain we went into the small synagogue but it was personal and perfect !

Wow what a find. Amazing rooms spotlessly clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is excellent quality and not expensive. They have a vast cocktail and drinks menu. The Schloss has been renovated to a night standard. Highly recommended. We will be back

Very nice location especially for weddings. There are a lot of hotel rooms to rest and spaces to party even outside. Food is excellent and drinks are quite good to.

Had our wedding ceremony here on October 3rd, 2022. The staff member that stood out to us the most and truly made our experience INCREDIBLE was Kathi. We are American and we needed someone that could speak English to help us and all of our guests. She did a phenomenal job not only on the wedding day but when we came for our wedding tasting. She made sure to be there right away for anything I needed and without her help on the day of the wedding, I don't know if it would have been a success. Kathi, to you, please never stop being the amazing and kind person that you are. You were so helpful to us and accommodating and I want you to be publicly recognized for all the hard work that you put in. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Kathi you are the reason this rating is 4 stars and not lower. Pros: *the wedding was beautiful *flower petal shower highly recommend *all the guests loved the castle tour *the food is absolutely the BEST (it should be Michelin rated!!) *the tomato cream soup was my favorite, the steak was so tender, and all the desserts were perfect *flexible with last minute changes/decisions *Kathi!!!! <3 Cons: *not as budget friendly as it is advertised. We paid double what we were originally quoted because everything here is charged a la carte and not as a package deal. *so disappointed with the decoration team here. We had to contract an external supplier (Dekoliebelei) to decorate for the wedding. The only thing that Schloss Romrod's decorators did was the flower petal drop for my entrance--which was actually beautiful. Everything else, they had a lot of outdated decorations, nothing modern so beware. * unfriendly decor team; everything I would ask them to do would be immediately met with "nope we cant do that" *we asked the venue to remove the big black tent that was set up right behind our wedding aisle and they didnt remove it so it is a major eye sore in all our wedding pictures *probably the biggest issue is we still haven't received our final bill/invoice and its been 2 months since the wedding happened... this is not something we are used to as Americans generally you must pay before and not after... really hard to keep a budget when you have no idea what the final figure is going to come out to
