    Like everyone else, I dread going to the dealership for repairs fearing the high cost. However, there’s no escaping there are some repairs you only trust to the skilled automotive technicians found at the dealership. I needed a timing belt and water pump on my son’s recently purchased Lexus RX 330. Mike is service was very helpful and professional. When I arrived, he wrote the repair up quickly and directed me to the rental counter. Julie (Rental Manager) provided me with an excellent rental for the day and had a wonderful disposition for that early in the morning. While at work Mike gave me a call and recommended additional service I might consider. It was an excellent recommendation. When I returned to pick-up my car, I was pleasantly surprised with more than reasonable repair (value) cost. I would strongly recommend that anyone needing the same repair go to the Alton Mungenast Toyota, and speak with Mike.

    This dealership is clearly one of the best! So easy to deal with and great customer service! From the point of contact with Amber to inquire about the car , she was so helpful, caring. and understanding. We are from Michigan and wanted to be sure the vehicle was what we wanted and that it not be sold before we made the trip down. Amber met us there and the car was in showroom condition! The sale went so smoothly and everyone there was super friendly. After getting the car back home we noticed a small vibration with the transmission. We took the car to a dealer in our area to diagnoses the problem. We contacted Kevin the service manager and he was so easy to deal with and took care of the repair in Michigan! I have NEVER had such a great experience with any other dealership! I highly recommend this dealership to anyone including those who may purchase from out of state as they truly care about their customers!! Tom & Cheryl Holbeck

    The worst experience ever. I’ve been told to discuss my buying a car with my husband. When I said I’m not married, the dealer repeated it. Since then, I’ve tried to receive help from Toyota. Com who told me the dealership was treating me like a guaranteed sale that can sit there and wait. When I told the dealership that, I was called a bully, and now that I still won’t take the cars that they want me to take instead of the one I went in there to buy I received a message saying, “you’re killing me.” How so? Because I still want the same car I went in there for and have waited on a waiting list 6 months for and not buying the ones that they need to get rid of? This has been the absolute worst experience spending over $50,000. I would NEVER recommend this place. EVER.

    I took my vehicle to a different business because my air conditioning was not blowing cold air. The different business said there were no leaks or issues. After I called the other business back because of air conditioning issues still and was told they would have to call me back...never to call me back. Called my Hyundai dealership, and they told me that the soonest they could get me in a month and a half away. Called TOYOTA, AND THEY GOT ME WITHIN 3 DAYS!!!! They got my car and called me back just a few hours later! They fixed all the problems! I HIGHLY recommend Toyota, it was very fairly priced and EVERYONE was so kind and courteous! Special thanks to Mike Young and Brian in service! Toyota in Alton IL will always be my go to car place!

    Amber was great to work with for a new vehicle. The dealership didn't charge over MSRP, require add-ons, or other made-up fees during the part shortages like some other Toyota dealerships were doing. I'd consider buying another vehicle from them again.

    Made 3:20 appointment for Monday for 1st time service. Not in system when I arrived at 3:05. Drove almost an hour to get there. Service lady said they are really behind and seven in front of me. She said my appointment was Tuesday. I told her since Monday was a holiday that would work best for me and that is what we scheduled on phone last week. She said, "you will have a long wait". I told her I am here at my scheduled appointment. 5:00 my car was ready. I mentioned at check out since there is a huge sign, if not happy let us know. I told her and she said too many people make appointments and nothing can be done... . I took my papers and walked out. Not the service I expected for my first service, very disappointed.

    1000% will be coming back to Mungenast Alton Toyota when I am ready to buy another truck. My salesman Evan could not have been more helpful along with Erica. They both are really top notch and would recommend working with them, They made the process very simple and easy. By far my best experience buying a truck!

    Great dealership to work with. While new cars were increasingly hard to find, Kevin worked with me remotely until my vehicle came in. Seamless process, great customer service. Knowledgeable sales reps and financial planning. Daniel was incredibly helpful in picking out extended warranties and what each piece actually meant. Katie was also amazing at helping set up our new Toyota app and settings in the vehicle. Thank you for our new Rav 4 XSE Hybrid!

    Wish I could give zero stars after repeatedly helping my elderly neighbor by jumping her new car she got from Toyota Mungenast and her repeatedly getting the run around from the service department there solution was to have an elderly lady go out every other day and start her car and let it run for ten minutes instead of diagnosing and fixing the issue. When you buy a new car from a dealership you shouldn't have to go out to start it every other day just to make sure it runs. This might as well be a lemon lot

    Had a GREAT experience purchasing a used Toyota from here today! Art Pollard was my sales guy. I called ahead of time and made an appointment for the same day. Art impressed me with his experience, knowledge and how smoothly and purposefully he was able to move us from one step to the next. I was at a different dealership the day before for over 2.5 hours with little forward progress .... negotiation discussions also felt combative and excessively long. Here negotiations felt easy, fluid and fair. Sales manager (Erica Price), came out to talk to me. She was friendly and helpful and made me feel appreciated for giving them my business. I also never felt "pressured" and they didn't waste my time, which is something I value. I told them what was important to me and they really delivered. Matt in finance was super efficient too and even managed better terms than what they originally thought they would get for me. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle, give Art a call. I'm posting his card for easy reference and thanks for a wonderful car buying experience!

    My wife and I were very pleased after purchasing our used 2015 Subaru Forester from your dealership in September of 2020. We started shopping for a used Subaru back in July and spent hours upon hours looking at online listing sites and visiting several dealerships. Without a doubt, our experience at Alton Toyota was the best experience we've had since we began our search. Not only did you have the car I wanted, but your staff was genuinely friendly and provided a refreshing balance between being attentive and giving us space to make decisions. I applaud the ownership and management for putting the customer's needs first! If only other companies would do the same.

    Got a Good Deal of a 2 year 4 oil changes and more.. But I didn't like how I was supposed to have gotten Express Vacuum. Please Don't say you're going to do Express Vacuum and DON'T EVEN DO IT AT ALL. No one Touched the Car with a Vacuum!!! I Pointed Out to the Guy. Who sets up what to be Done. He just said well if you wanted the Glass VACUUM OUT. You should've told me. So it would get done. WOW!! That was the Window Glass Under the Driver's Seat. From where they Fixed my Driver side Window little over a Month Ago. Where they DIDN'T VACUUM UP THE GLASS THEN. I know whoever fixed the Window. Had to VACUUM Out. The Glass Out of the DOOR. But DIDN'T VACUUM the Glass Under the Seat. That you could Easily SEE. The GLASS was there. Got a FREE Car wash. It Left SOAP Spot's on my Side Mirror's. Didn't even get all the Bug's Off the Front of the Car. Oh well what are You Supposed to Expect for FREE. What your Employee is told to do. What their PAID to DO FOR YOUR CUSTOMER. That's PAYING for Their PAYCHECK. The Mechanic did a WONDERFUL Job on his Part. But the FREE Wash and Express Vacuum. Please Don't say you're going to DO SOMETHING and either DON'T DO IT or ONLY halfway. Do your JOB. To Me that's BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! But I did get what I PAID FOR. This is SAD! People doing whatever at Work. When not Done Properly. Don't get Made to Correct it. Mechanic does their Job properly. Just don't Expect anything Extra Done. Even if they say it will be Done. Disappointed Customer

    Bought a car here a few years back and had a great experience. Went in today for another thinking alright should be good. Instead this was honestly the most insulted I've ever felt when bringing a trade-in for appraisal. Was told my trade was worth a fraction of even what was considered the rough trade-in value was. Was told the manager looked at your vehicle and says you also need new tires. That was when I stopped him. The tires on my trade was less than 2 months old from the NTB across the street. I was honestly planning on there being a little negotiations like with all used car deals, but I felt like there was no good faith in the offer that was made on my car. It honestly made me feel like I was trying to make a deal with Matildas father and I got up and left.

    I have not bought a vehicle here before, but I just had my 2022 Highlander serviced at Mungenast yesterday. I asked for them to fix my recall and rotate my tires. They did both of those things plus extra! They washed my car, vacuumed it, checked my fluids, and did a general inspection over the vehicle. Everyone there was super nice!

    I had a great experience at Alton Toyota! Scott in sales was awesome when I purchased my vehicle. Even after the sale, he was responsive to my questions and made sure I was taken care of. The service department was excellent as well! Very easy to schedule and always upfront about cost.
