Pleasant surprised. I am a big germaphobic and was a bit scared about reading some of the review here. The room and bathroom actually look pretty clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is decent.

Stayed here due to working in the area, was WAY better than I expected. Room and bathroom were clean! Looks like they are or were renovating. There were minimal issues but I mean like not an issue for me at all. Screws loose that were holding up the towel rack, small burn on the sink (looked like from a cigarette previously), just a few little things like that. Smoking was outside, and there were doors that you needed your key to get it for safety reasons of course. My room had a queen bed and a recliner, it was nice to have a comfy chair to sit in! For the price, you can't beat it, I paid around 160 for 3 nights and was happy with my purchase. I do wanna mention, there isn't an elevator so you might want to keep that in mind when booking!

The only bad thing was they do not have elevators. We got the king suite room and this room was GREAT!! It was very low price for what we seen when we walked in the room! The room was huge! The bed was very comfortable! It's a shame that other places, including Wyndham hotels, will charge at least $50 more at any hotel for less than what this room offered! If you don't mind the stairs this room is perfect! We were in room 302 😉 also, it was close to everything.

I was driving all night and this hotel decided to use me for profit. I checked in at 6am and was told I needed to check out by 1pm but my receipt showed a check out for Saturday. When I questioned this I was told it's policy. I was going to book online as it was $40 cheaper but was told thier was a $20 service fee charged by the hotel. Room was clean but desk staff are total rip offs. Will definitely be contacting Wyndham about this location.

This hotel is not accessible. There are stairs to get to both room levels. The first floor only has about 3 or 4 steps, but a wheelchair bound person would not be able to navigate them. Other than that major issue, it's a decent enough place. I recommend it as a quick pitstop. We stopped so we could catch a Altoona Curve game on our way to DC. Unfortunately I had to carry mywife's walker up and down those stairs every time we went out.

Spent two nights to attend a family funeral. Check in was ok. I took a shower and got straight into bed. The next morning when I opened the drapes to let some sun in I was greeted by two messages written in old dust. I didn't write it. It was there when I got there. Halls were noisy with loud conversations until almost midnight. The second night the hallways smelled like curry. The worn-out and damaged recliner was ripped open and I cut myself on razor sharp fasteners try to slide the recliner.

We stayed at the Super 8 Altoona for a youth soccer tournament. The staff (especially Lacy) was overall very accommodating of our group and let us use their lobby and breakfast room as gathering spaces - extra important to us since the weather wasn't great. The rooms and hotel are on the more modest side but were clean and did the trick for our group.

First I’ll start off by saying the staff here was outstanding! Our room was pretty run down. The floors were dirty, there was just a sheet and a thin blanket on the beds but the pillows were nice. TV didn’t want to work, but we had a fridge and microwave. The bathroom had cracked tile, cigarette stained counter tops and black stains on the toilet bowl (black mold?) and the toilet screamed at us when we’d flush. I had to wipe everything down since the rooms were not cleaned very well. There were damaged lampshades, and curtains had holes in them. The cooler smelled like mildew. Headboard had fingernail scratches (yikes). That all said, the beds were comfortable but very small, towels were fluffy, breakfast was good (coffee was horrible) but could use eggs on the breakfast bar. There was a weird guy who hangs out back with his skateboard trying to make friends with all the guests. Our guess is he’s selling weed. Parking is plenty as long as semi trucks aren’t taking up the spots. Close to the baseball stadium, shops, restaurants, Starbucks, the mall and highways. We would stay here again for the price and location, but we will be sure to bring cleaning supplies and ask for an extra blanket.

It took 3 tons before one with suitable to sleep in. The general appearance of the hotel was so so and the rooms were heavily used but clean. Lots of foundation and cracking walls and other questionable and worrisome defects were in the rooms.

This is a motel with interior doors. We should have walked out when we got the vibe in the lobby. The pictures are very deceiving. It's filthy. The food, the bedding, the walls, the hallways, the lobby, the doors, the shower, the toilet, the sink, the drapes, the furniture. It's gross. Like, sleep in a sleeping bag on top of the covers gross. My daughter dropped her toothbrush on the floor, we burned it. It's not the kind of dirty that was one cleaner's bad day, it's like the cleaners are legally blind, or don't care, or maybe don't exist. The maintenance crew has taken shortcuts for so long there aren't any shortcuts left to take. Pieces of the hallways literally fell on us. There is about as much insulation between rooms as a tent. Good thing the air conditioner sounds like a jet fighter at takeoff. And I haven't even gotten to the smell. It punches you in the face as soon as you step in the room. Think musty, mildewy, old camp with a wet dog and you'll be close. The girl at the front was very friendly. The ice machine worked. Here's hoping we make it through the continental breakfast without catching some incurable disease. I'm going to go check for bedbugs... Again.

When we arrived the check in process took 20 min with all of the people and a shortage of staff. We were told not to rearrange furniture which was odd, considering when we arrived in the room, the second bed was pushed right up to the side of the wall, so I could not get into the bed. Also on the side of the bed closest to the wall there were breadcrumbs and what looked like nuts on the floor. This was in room 304, and appeared like it was from the previous guests. Sleeping against the wall, my feet were right up against the air conditioner which made your feet freezing, not very smart. There was no maid service during our stay so we had to use the same towels and rags which was not ideal after tailgating and going to a game all day. The breakfast was subpar with few options. Overall it wasn't worth $500 for 2 days for a single room, even with demand from the college football game. I would avoid this hotel for future visits considering the cost and lack of amenities/service.

Was weird that the room they put me in was occupied prior to me staying and they did nothing to clean it. Bed had the sheets all over the place, trash cans were full of beer cans, bathroom hand towels were used and they were some half wet/dry towels sitting on the bathroom sink. They made the bed upon request, and I understand being short staffed. But why put someone in a room that was not touched between people staying in it, that's kinda odd. Staff upfront were very nice despite the room situation, overall I did enjoy my stay.

Very disappointed, and does not disclose anywhere when I booked. I booked a room and since I live 9 miles away I couldn’t get a room. We are military and having work done on our house and needed to stay a night due to paint fumes and other things and couldn’t stay. We had trouble finding another hotel close due to short notice. They even didnt even ask why just brushed me off and so no it’s our policy.

This place was quiet and the room was clean. I actually didn’t have no issues with this place until I checked out if the motel and saw that the same day I checked out the motel they tried charging me for the night and beings that I didn’t have the money in my account and knowing I didn’t need to put money into it yet I got a NSF charge. The motel paid that back to me however the next day they charged my card again for $158.83 cents. I let them know that and Mr. David the manager said I would get my refund. I checked in on May 31, 2023 and checked out June 4, 2023. It’s now June 24th 2023 and still no refund of my money. Mr. David keep asking me to call back yet he’s still not trying to give me my money back now I have to take actions. Mr. David said when booking a room use a credit card and not a debit card and it wouldn’t be issues. I’ve always used my debit card and had no issues. If you want to not be charged extra without your permission and don’t want to have to fight to get your money back after the motel acknowledged their wrong doings. DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL. Still fighting to get my refund will update you guys soon about this.

Honestly this hotel is fine, you can see the mountains from the parking lot, no frills but nice place to stop and sleep. The three stars is for the extremely unwelcoming lobby. You walk in and there's signage all over the desk area that's basically a big list of people they will not allow to stay - from various towns in the area. I have worked for multiple hotels for multiple corporations (IHG and Wyndham) so I understand that sometimes locals cause problems, but just take a deposit returnable on checkout. I like to stay places that support their local community and this hotel makes it VERY clear that if you're anywhere near them you cannot stay there. At my current job I often stay in hotels just an hour from my house and I'm glad I have not encountered anywhere so unwelcome to their own community as this place is. Fortunately in this case I live 700 miles away and so was permitted the privilege of staying in their odd smelling room with a weird radiator and cigarette burns on the recliner. (It was however nice to have a recliner.)

The room was filthy! Hair and dirt all over the bathroom, the floors were gross too! The beds didn't seem clean either! I brought cleaning supplies so we could get comfortable.

Location A+, room comfort A+, staff was friendly enough for traveler like me. Only thing this hotel needs is little renovation to not feel like its dated. I found the parking very convenient so overall i m satisfied with what i got again b4 putting reviews one must not forget this is not hilton or sheraton its a road side motel/hotel for travelers not vacation hot spot.

I was told that I could not stay there with a friend that was from out of town because I was a local. The hotel manager said he does not allow any locals to stay in his hotel because of the homeless people. This was after we paid for the room online! It took 48 hours to get a refund. I will never step foot in their again.

Nice ground floor room Nice and warm for tired travelers. A lot of stuff on TV to watch very clean even the shower. The only thing that didn't work was the apple and orange juice machine which I made a mess I was amazed how fast employees rushed to try to clean it up. The coffee was pretty good and the waffle machine worked flossly and they were very good we will definitely stay there again and again

Not a bad place for the price. The customer service is amazing. We left a bag and to go back for it the next day and they were quick to answer the phone, nice and understandable and helpful. They held it for us and were nice enough to even exchange the broken bag for a new one.

The hotel itself was fine. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean. Everywhere I've ever stayed on a motorcycle trip until now has been very helpful finding a way for me to get my bike charged. Unfortunately, the cheapskate manager here has decided that any EV charging warrants a $25 fee. The desk clerk contacted him and he did reduce my charging fee to $12.50 for a motorcycle. I really don't mind paying a few dollars for charging and I don't expect anyone to lose money, but my motorcycle draws less than $2 of electricity for a charge. I went ahead and paid the fee since there's nowhere close to charge, and no fast chargers in town. I hope it's okay that I used the air conditioner, it probably drew more power than my bike.

We had a three day stay for a funeral. The room was clean and adequately stocked. The beds were clean and comfortable. The lobby/breakfast area was clean and neat. Breakfast was waffles, cold and hot cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, muffins, & pastries. The OJ dispenser was out of order but there was apple juice. The coffee dispenser had light, medium, and dark roasts in both regular and decaf; sweeteners are sugar or sweet & low. Staff was nice to talk to and helpful when we needed anything. My dad has a hard time walking, and they did not have an accessible room available. He had to go down three steps to get to our room, but thankfully it was only a few doors down. He didn’t bring his shower chair but the manager got one from storage and cleaned it up for him to use. Although this was my second choice of hotels in our budget, we all enjoyed our stay. Everything was well lit and secure, and shopping and restaurants are close by, a 3-5 minute drive.

Checked in Friday 7/8 and Checked out 7/8. I get its a budget motel but please clean the rooms. Front desk Clerk (with nose ring) and purple-ish hair, was horrible and elderly woman whom replaced her was no better. After we found a used wash cloth in our shower my wife killed a roach which was all we needed... Sheets looked like they haven't been changed since covid outbreak and we are still awaiting a call from any manager that decides to work a shift.. Paid the extra for a Holiday Inn and git IMMEDIATE comfort...

Had an emergency that made it unsafe for my disabled mother to stay at her own home late at night. Rates for hotel were reasonable for the few days it would take to make repair plus this hotel had rooms available at 11pm. I booked a room for my mother online, get her there to check in only to be told that they do not rent rooms to locals, i.e. anyone who lives with in 25miles of the location. Boom, reservation is cancelled even though I had already explained that it was an emergency for a disabled person. Trying to find another hotel that still had rooms open available at almost midnight and get my mother into was not easy.

One star for having two rooms for my family of 8 when we showed up at 11:30 pm with no reservation. The clerk was very nice to my grandkids. The bedding was clean. There is no carpet in the room and the floor was clean. We didn’t notice the filthy tub and holes in the bathroom door and wall until morning. So gross that we didn’t want to shower before leaving at 7:30 am for the airport. 😕
