Went in to here for a drink on a spur of the moment as it was my birthday. We were served by Henry who made me the best Party like it's your birthday cocktail & even popped a candle on top when he heard it was my actual birthday day .. 🤩 Even the little decorations on the top looked like a number 8 which is the date we were in there. So thank you Henry, you made my time in there special .. 😊

Great place to eat, especially on an evening when the atmosphere is really energetic. Situated at the lower end of Chester high street, near other eateries and the boutique stores. Great choice of food, clean, comfortable surroundings, huge range of drinks. Their cocktail tree looked amazing. We enjoyed a sharing meal, which was very tasty and great value. Unlike other venues recently visited, they should be commended for amount of staff on and quick friendly service. Would definitely use again.

First time I was finally convinced to visit a Slug and Lettuce bar and my goodness it lived to the stories. Entered to the stale vomit smell I didn't expect on a Sunday afternoon, 2 for 1 cocktails filled about half the glass, wish I'd just had a pint and ordered a festive burger which had to be sent back as half the ingredients were missing and they, hoped I wouldn't notice? I guess? Two others in my party had to send their food back too for being cold and greasy respectively, but the staff were swift with a refund at least. Seems fine for big groups, but I won't be back.

We came for bottomless brunch, food was yummy! Non stop cocktails, there is definitely no maximum limit like other places , we ordered dessert however it took 50 mins to come so they gave it to us on the house without us even mentioning it, thank you!

Joey who did our cocktail making for a hen party, lovely talkative man, we had a fantastic time, and we got the Sangria recipe off him.

Good vibe if you're keen to party and enjoy cocktails. The two for one cocktails are a good special. The food portions could be slightly bigger.

Long room with some good seating, spacious with a couple of steps down to the bar area. Tap beer on offer, staff were friendly. More of a dining place than a pub. Very nicely decorated inside. Popped in for a beer which was excellent. Enjoyed my visit.

I can honestly say this is a great place to have a botomless brunch. I wasn't expecting much as I hadn't done this before, but they absolutely fulfilled they promiss. The food was nice and always someone offering us more drinks. Drinks were strong and nicely presented. There are plenty of spots to take pictures and music was great

This has just served me with the worst steak that I have ever had in my entire life. Pleasant staff and a great looking venue but the steak was a rip off. The picture shows how much gristle was attached to my steak!!! AVOID

Loved our bottomless brunch. Alexander was amazing. Always checking up on us and refilling our drinks. We went on NYE which meant it was extra busy. Highly recommend❤️

It’s a super fun restaurant to come with friends I think. They have loads of fun drinks and greasy food. I came with my husband and we just grabbed a bite to eat. Food was really good. The place is huge and staff is not the friendliest but nothing that ruined our experience. You need to order first at the bar and pay, so don’t be waiting for people to take your order…

Great service from beginning to end! We booked bottomless brunch and the food & drinks were lovely. Staff are always so nice at Slug & Lettuce Chester, we always look forward to coming back here. Jack made our day and was constantly asking us if we were okay for drinks! 100% recommend. Best bottomless brunch in Chester by far!

We visited earlier this week and had a lovely time, we were seated and served by Alexander who was very helpful and patient with us! I would have given a 5 but unfortunately 2 options that we ordered were unavailable and one was for a child which made things a little difficult for us! Over all we enjoyed our food and some lovely cocktails and would happily return!

Lovely aesthetics. The cocktails were delicious, & 2 for 1, were well priced. Only problem was, was 5 people, 2 x 2 cocktails the same, 1 soft drink, 2 served & finished their cocktails before the rest even served their drinks. So service was quite slow, & it wasn't even busy at the time. Hopefully better luck next time.

Great place in Chester, was nice to sit outside to eat and drink. Usual fast service. Only one setback - no decaf coffee available

Bottomless brunch overpriced and disappointing, mediocre quality food and a very limited choice of drinks (not even wine or orange juice!) in chain pub surroundings. Staff friendly but have very little flexibility to make changes to set menu options to ensure everyone in a party has a good experience. Too expensive for what it is. Messed my bill up and nearly overcharged me by £25, took a long time to bring the correct bill.

I came in for lunch today with my friends and was served by Ellie. She was very friendly and cheerful. She made sure we had everything we needed and constantly went out of her way to help us. She is a great asset to your team!

Took my mum here for Mother's Day and WOW was I impressed. The level of customer service, attentiveness of the server (who I believe was the Manager) and the food was gorgeous, such good value for money and the atmosphere was lovely. It says on the menu for the tipsy afternoon tea that you get 2 glasses of prosecco each but our server went above and beyond and topped up our glasses regularly. I can honestly say we never had an empty glass the entire 1.5 hours we spent there! I can genuinely say I've never had such exceptional customer service, particularly at a venue like Slug and Lettuce, and our server (the Manager I think) is both a testament to this individual venue and the wider business. Phenomenal.

What a shambles. For a place in such a premium location the staff where far from the best. Baffles me how the place makes a profit, staffed by children with a ‘manager’ mincing about the place and not taking control. They had no ice. On a Saturday night. The ‘two for one cocktails’ filled one glass. Cocktails tasted awful. Table service needed prompting at the bar after 20 mins to get it moving. The place is a badly managed joke and desperately needs some stonegate senior management to go and get a grip of it before Chester ends up with another empty unit

My partner and I came for a bottomless brunch on Saturday and it was wonderful. The numerous options of drinks included was great (although a bloody Mary not so much) and the food was really good too. For a Saturday, service was quick and staff were really friendly, a special thanks to Ellie who kept our drinks topped up and made sure we had an enjoyable time. We will definitely be coming again.

We visited for lunch and again for drinks on a quiet Thursday evening. The staff were chatty and attentive, the food good and drinks even better. Good prices here too. Massive selection of drinks and cracking cocktail offers. Recommended!
