Very large store with everything you can ask for. Cafe on site too. Friendly staff and the car park is massive 👍

I do like this Tesco. Never had a problem until 1 time a girl on the self checkouts was very rude and had a seriously bad attitude. Told the manager as it ruined my experience. Lost a star for this. Why put people on the floor with customers if they can’t keep them happy? I was happy when I went in and really upset leaving. Hopefully she’s been told how not to treat customers.

Yet another complaint for customer service! 26/07/23 at around 6.15pm. I was sent to this store by Tesco in baguley because they had the items I needed. This has been checked on the system. The older lady on customer service (Altrincham) wasn't interested and just said if they aren't there they weren't in stock. After further conversation, she did ask a young man to go and look .. he never came back. I was stood at the desk for around 30 minutes. She just carried on talking to colleagues. I asked to speak to the manager so the lady rang him/her who refused to come and speak to me as he/she was busy. The older lady on customer service then said "my manager would have only told you the same as me" she was very rude and clearly needs more training. This is incredibly poor service that sadly seems to be a common problem at Tesco Altrincham on the customer service desk.

Worst experience I have ever had in a supermarket. The lady at the customer service counter was extremely rude and unhelpful. She accused me of yelling at her while explaining why I had to return the spoiled milk. This woman let the whole company down.

Every time I go half the cash self service tills are broken. Terrible obviously no concern to the customer. We spend our money in aldi or liddle now same quality cheaper and the tills work.

Shop here regularly but today the woman on checkout called Rachel, had the most appalling attitude, her customer service was 0.I have to mention it as when your spending over a100 pound in store you certainly should not be made to feel like you have done something wrong

Good range of products however called in today and many of the staff not wearing masks or lanyards. Obviously no respect or care for customers or colleagues.

Range of products ok, agree about the car parking never seems to be enough. One of the female customer service staff (on on a regular basis) could do with smiling a bit more and sometimes being a bit more helpful. Always get the impression she doesn't want to be bothered and can be curt on occasions.

Foods fine nothing wrong there prices can be fine also, and nothing wrong with staff, my only complaint is you have to wait till 7am for someone to be on checkout if you don't want to use the self-service check out, and I don't really like to use them anymore since they now all have cameras in your face, I usually pay by card and it can see my card info as I am trying to pay. I wouldn't allow someone to record me if I was at a cash machine so why would I at a self-service checkout 🤔

Parking is easy and store is o.k. but I agree with comments on male toilets, they are not kept clean. There were 3 soap dispensers, one's disappeared and two haven't seen soap lately. Come on Tesco get to Aldi and buy some soap. Every little extra helps...

This experience was at the Altrincham Tesco Extra store. It was my first (and will be the last) time using the scan as you go facility. The hand held scanner was easy to use but when I went to pay and asked for help, things fell apart. I explained it was my first time, using this facility and I needed to be shown how to pay, one of the staff members on duty, Mr Muhammad Ali had to be asked, politely, three times before he decided it needed more than a blank look with a finger pointing to a payment machine. Then instead of helping, he said, "Random check" and proceeded to scan everything that I had already scanned, double checked and carefully put away. I asked why he'd chosen me. He just repeated, "Random check" Me, "Yes, I know that's what you said, but why me, when I was simply asking for your help?" No immediate answer, just the same unless po face and eventually another, "Random check" was spluttered. He had zero customer relations skills, and I ended up saying, "This is just harassment and if you want to hold me up on what's meant to be a fast way of buying and paying, then I don't want any of these goods, you can put them all back". Here's what he should have said, (a smile would have not have gone amiss) "Hello, my names Muhammad and I'd be pleased to help. This is how you pay for your goods and as it's your 1st time using scan as you go, would you mind if I just quickly checked everything?" My answer would have been, "Thank you, lets do that". Instead he caused a scene and gave very poor service. If I ever use Tesco again I'll make sure to use a proper till and that will also help keep someone employed. I blame Teaco, not Mr Ali who simply needs better training.

Friday evening, some items out of stock, a busy day, helpful staff, bought all I needed, plus.😁

Local, massive with ample car park (3hr limit) cafe, restrooms, customer service desk, phone shop, optician, chemist; always a bargain to be had but need to check if multi deal is better than single item. Staff always friendly and helpful. Huge, huge range of produce, fresh, frozen, bakery, electrical, toiletries, books, cards, homeware, bedding, etc. Nit much you can't get - no kitchen sink but washing up bowls😁

No toilet roll in the bogs, quite the traumatic experience to say the least 😂

Staff and superstore are fabulous. Toilets are always filthy and regularly out if toilet paper and hand soap. Rating is reflective of toilets only …

Every time I shop here I come out of there totally in awe of how helpful and friendly the staff are, nothing is too much for them. They always have a smile for you it's like you really matter. It's a pleasure shopping there in fact I think my partner would agree I call in to "buy a few bits" 😉 far too much. Keep up the good work!

Huge Tesco Extra with a lot of parking spots. They have implemented social distancing quite well with a lot of markings and huge arrows. Lots of products including cloths, kitchenware, pharmacy, bakery and other usuals. Very friendly staff. Only improvement opportunity is when they put out the reduced products for the day, people still gather around in a circle.if they could make that a bit more organized it would be great!

A poor recent experience, due to Tesco pricing something wrong I was charged a considerable amount more for an item. I drove back to the store to request a refund, I got to the customer service desk and the two women who were on said they were closed and now going home, I checked the time and it wasn’t even 10pm yet (which is the time advertised for the desk to close). Of course frustrated that I had come out of my way I spoke to a colleague on the self scan who was very helpful and managed to find someone who could process the refund for me. I’m glad that my refund was processed eventually but if you advertise specific times for open and close you should stick to them!

This is a large grocery store that has just about everything. It reminds me of a Walmart on just a slightly smaller scale, especially in regards to the clothing section which is mostly women's and children's clothes. They have scanners that allow you to scan your items as you shop and there are plenty of self checkout stations which allows for a very quick checkout. The prices are also very reasonable.

I'm a regular, it's my local but never trolleys upstairs ahhhh!!

Always well stocked with friendly service. Great cafe too

Easy parking town centre store

Everytime I go in the security guards are so suspicious of me. I'm not a criminal but even if it's a different security guard and they are all the same. It makes me so anxious everytime I come in :( they should lay off people who look different.

All good, very bright & clean. Easy to find items and no queue at checkout.

Tesco should change its name to club card, you need one for the best deals.

Went here on Sunday afternoon around 1pm. Busy store,went to cafe,busy but free tables&chairs. Those free tables full of trays from last customer. I ended up cleaning our table. Waited 8 minutes in queue,then 30 minutes wait for food to arrive. Lady behind us Waited 1 hour&she ended up getting a refund. Food was nice&nice enough staff(4 of them) Just don't get why tables weren't being cleared. Shopping experience was ok&all items we needed was in stock.

Great range of products. Some good deals for clubcard holders. Opens from 6am till midnight except from Sunday.

Very useful and has all items awaiting a next trip to this store when next in the area all good stuff there.

Plenty of parking available here. Great choice of products just not so much on Gluten free items. Enough check outs so minimal queue.

The perfect shop, everything I needed at a great price, from goldfish food, toilet brushes, to curries and Nan bread. And yes the goldfish food is for my hungry goldfish 😃.
