One of the most memorable chair lifts in Germany. I would rate this chair lift after the one in Boppard to be the next best ride. The key highlight of this chair lift is view towards river Moselle and also to the castle. Just before you get down at the top of the hill with a chair lift, there is a point in the journey where the machine would take a picture of yours. Don't forget to smile and pose. After getting down at the top of the hill, there is a machine from which you could take a printout of the photo which was being captured. Also this sesselbahn goes to the view point called Pinnerkreuz which has splendid view to the river Moselle and to the castle.

This was such a nice experience, the ticket for one adult was around 6,9 euros but it was so worth it. The view from the top is fantastic, one can watch the castle, river Mosel and the old beautiful town of Cochem, cant get more romantic.

Very nice views on top and lovely hiking routes. Beware though that one must be capable of hiking since the ground is made up of loose rock on some parts. Worth the hike though

One truly great experience. A must-do in Cochem. Be ready to have a photo clicked automatically when you reach the top. Whole staff is very friendly and helpful. If there would've been a student discount, it would've been a cherry on the top.

Definately worth going up the Sesselbahn, visiting the Pinnerkreuz and having some coffee afterwards. Eventhough the weather drizzly when we came back down we enjoyed the scenery.

The ride and the views at the top were great. The prices are acceptable. We only chose the way up because we wanted to descend, which wasn't a good idea due to road conditions. Signposts were confusing at times and walking down was very dangerous at times. The path was sometimes really narrow and there wasn't even a railing in places where it went down quite steeply. Very adventurous.

We had a very nice moment. We decided to jump on one of these seats and enjoyed the ride. The view from up there is really lovely.
