👍👍 Pho was delicious, the meat was a little tough but still good. Broth was excellent. Pork spring rolls were crunchy and yummy. The menu is also in English and the server spoke English, which was helpful. Nice, quiet atmosphere. People often mention Thai, good, Vietnamese, noodles, delicious, Great, restaurant,

The best food I ate in Cologne. I had pad thai with shrimps and mago juice. Not too expensive, and very delicious! Also the waiter was polite and friendly. It’s also great that there’s English captions underneath German and says “spicy” at the end if the dish is spicy. Great for those who don’t like spicy food like me. The decor was very good, too. I want to come back again!

We were cheated by the restaurant name of “Hoai Viet”. It seems like a Vietnamese and Thai restaurant and itself claims so as well, but it’s not true at all. I do understand that this is Germany not south east Asia, some ingredients might be hard to get, but the food should still be somehow tasted a little bit like Vietnamese or Thai food. I ordered Pad Thai, but turns out it was just a very very regular fried Chinese noodles, NOTHING to do with pad Thai and tasted just like the noodles you can get from all you can eat Chinese buffet. And it’s not even rice noodles as it stated on the menu. Extremely disappointed.

The classic Banh mi is pretty good and made with fresh ingredients. Be sure to order in advance or wait around 15-20min otherwise

the banh mi is highly recommended. they have the right kind of bread, which is a crucial thing for banh mi. i had the lemongrass tofu and i would definitely vouch for it. cash and card payments are available. staff is friendly and service is fast. i just wish there was more vegan and vegetarian options, and that these were more clearly labeled as such.

Take the name "Viet" out your restaurant's name if you don't know how to make Vietnamese dishes. The food was atrocious bad, and not authentic at all. We ordered Pho & Bun Bo Hue. Let's start with the Bun Bo Hue, these clowns used rice vermicelli as noodles, and after asking what kind of noodles these were, they replied to me that this was the correct way. How do you even dare to tell a VIETNAMESE person that using the WRONG type of noodles is the correct way?? The other joke is the meat that they used, they put the EXACT same meat as they put in the Pho (with raw beef even) in the Bun Bo Hue... What the F is this for recipe fusion-ish joke?? Have they even googled what to put in Bun Bo Hue?? It tasted like they bought instant Pho broth and threw a tea spoon of hot oil in it. The Pho was also a joke, throwing half an onion doesn't hide the fact that you used like 4 slices of beef, you guys are trying to save cows now huh? Where did the chef learned how to cook? at a Bubble tea parking place next to the homeless people? Response to the Owner's reply: Class response from a clown restaurant like yours. It reflects how much of a joke your restaurant is. You're suddenly claiming that you're "eclectic, fusion-inspired" meanwhile it was stated nowhere, not on the menu, not online, nowhere. Just because I called you out you're suddenly pulling stuff out of thin air. "Miss I'm Vietnamese and own the exclusive rights to decide what's Viet and what's not". Wow, this proves that you're such an ignorant owner. Did I claim anything? no. I'm just pointing out that these dishes, especially the Bun bo hue is NOT anywhere near real Viet standard. If you've lived in Vietnam, and grew up there you'd be embarrassed to sell this and claim it's Vietnamese.

Great food for a quick Viet/Thai restaurant! Very clean, service was fast, and generous portions. The fried duck you can order as a meat on your dishes was amazing and was the star of the show. The price was great as well. The Pad Thai was good but less sweet/sour than the American Thai version. We really liked the #6 under the with rice section. It warns very scharf and it is if you eat the thai chilis.

After a week in Germany and eating endless amounts of meat and potatoes, having some awesome Vietnamese food hit the spot! Every dish was great and fresh!

Great food experience and I love spice. So it was a good experience for us. Though my boyfriend was pretty annoyed at the size of the drinks (0.22l for soda of 2.40 Euros). We felt robbed. Kindly saying this because he wanted to write a bad review.

I wish I had discovered it earlier, the food was delicious and very affordable too. It's also one of the few places I've found where they actually had the menu translated to English, which is very helpful. The staff was friendly as well

not a bad spot when you need your phõ fix, that red sauce (in unmarked bottle) packs a punch! doesn't take down the #1 in town (most of you already know where i think that is) but it's a nice bowl of soup when you're buying comics or whatever in the hansaring area

Unfortunately the meal we got for takeout - both dishes - was 85% noodles. Extremely greasy. No spices. A handful tiny slices of carrot and cabbage. But the fact that they give ketchup as a dip sauce with the spring rolls was the killer. We were super disappointed.
