The standard has gone down. The manderson was once a great hotel. We got only one room with air-conditioning which was OK after a disappointment by another establishment. Mat was smelly, not great for sinus. Borehole water makes the toilets brown. Room for much improvement

They close the entire hotel at 21:30. Travellers are unable to access the facility after that time

Very tranquil and a safe escape for a quick getaway to reboot. The host and all staff are such warm & friendly people. Their food servings are quite generous ☺️. Love it!

Utterly not happy with their service, they took time to pick up the phone and when they did, they lady told us to drop the call and never called back. When we called again, we were told that they can not accomodate us after 9:30pm, even when we told them that we were traveling and would arrive 30 mins late. Both people who answered the call were kinda rude. Please improve your service management.

Met Masibulele at reception and though we only wanted coffee and he said the kitchen was closed, he actually followed us to our vehicle and said they will prepare for us. Breakfast was made and we had the most beautiful scenery to enjoy it with. Well done to the staff being so accommodating. Definitely worth the trip from EL.

I have never ever in my life met a receptionist more rude, sarcastic and condescending than Masibulele at the Manderson. We received no formal confirmation of our booking, nor any information about the hotel, check in or check out times and procedures prior to arrival. When we arrived 30 minutes ahead of check-in, none of this information was confirmed either and we were dealt with in a completely unprofessional and disrespectful manner. That immediately soured the beginning of our stay. The Manderson is set in a picturesque and beautiful setting, but this is not made up for by the rooms which are extremely outdated. There was dirt and leaves coming through the moulding in the ceiling, watermarks and stains on the bathroom walls, and spiderwebs in the bathroom windows. Breakfast was good, and it made a huge difference to find a different friendly face behind the reception desk in the morning. However, at that stage it was too little too late. We won't be returning.

Rooms all have baths and showers. Service with a smile and nothing is too much trouble.... love it!! Close to the forests .... with some of the Best Mountain Air in the World!!

We had an amazing stay. Rooms were nice, beds comfy and breakfast was delicious. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

We got there late on the evening of the 22 July 2022, we were greeted with a smile and made feel welcome at once. Only stay overnight but what we paid for it was worth it over and over. Thank you staff of Manderson on duty on that night.

Not the cleanest carpets had a mouldish smell, food was not bad and prices were reasonable.

Only stayed for one night, but really enjoyed it.

Tranquil experience surrounded by commercial and indigenous forrests with mountain views. It has nice landscaping with a good plant population.

Staff were helpful, the rooms carpet had a big bleach stain and a lot of little ones like a cleaned up crime scene. Made me feel really uncomfortable. The food was prepared very badly and sparce for the same price as a 4 star restaurant meal got the feeling it was rushed off so the staff can leave for home.

Place its dirty swimming pool water is green whilst we were promised swimming food it's a nightmare.Green salad to mentioned the few lettuce was off cud not eat though was hungry....COVID19 protocols not followed 😑

Many rooms available. Dining room with set dinner available. Breakfast at 07:00. Swimming pool for summer. Rooms are neat and spacious. Garden, birds and address in setting with mountain, trees, brush and nature views.

A lovely memorable experience. Clean well furnished rooms, very friendly and efficient staff with a good Sheff preparing tasty meals. A very pleasant stay and satisfying ecperience all round. If you are planning to stay in the area, I suggest you opt for this Hotel.

We had lunch as a group on the 12th March 2022. They served us an old, soggy salad, very dry cheese lasagna and a bread roll. For dessert, something fruity with an overpowering cinnamon taste drenched in custard🤮🤮🤮🤮horrible experience ever!!!!!!
