I've stayed here several times. The staff are friendly and helpful when I lost my reading glasses (found it tho.). The rooms are clean. However on my last stay, a light fixture was damaged (I've reported it, I hope it got fixed/replaced) My regret was I didnt stay here again on my last trip, I decided to stay at the one on Paramount Blvd only because I wanted to be closer to coffee place and the route heading out of Amarillo. It was not worth the move. I most definitely will come back to this place! I feel very safe here, I like the people that pass through and stay here, they're families. The other place was not. My dog likes this place, as soon as I open the door, he's happy as a clam curling up on the bed. My dog did not like the other place. I trust my dog's instinct. As for people who have dogs, there is a small city park about a block walk from this place where you can walk your dogs to do their business. If you're reading through reviews trying to decide which motel 6 to stay, I'll help you with the decision. Pick THIS PLACE! This is most definitely the best one!

We are at the end of a two week road trip with our two pups and this is by far the best motel 6 we have stayed at! The room comes with a fridge and microwave. The sheets are extremely soft. The room decor looks updated and modern. The room is very clean and is the first motel 6 room (out of many) that actually smells good when you walk in! Definitely recommend !

Last night on the road, last minute place to stay. Read some reviews and thought we'd try it out. Needless to say, we were not let down. Online reservation was easy with seamless check-in (motel 6 website). Reserved room while on the road (as a passenger). Room is clean, accessible and a good size for those who need it, area is very well lit as well as clean, the entire grounds is on 24hour surveillance, staff is friendly, priced well, great location (right off the interstate), parking is great (spots for trucks and trailers), Wal-Mart near by, Loves truck stop and others are close for easy fuel and go. Overall, we felt comfortable and safe. Noise may be and issue with the frontage road and interstate near by but great choice when all you need is a place to sleep.

Staff was really friendly and helpful. Nice room on the ground floor. Bed was really comfortable. A/C working great! Room had a microwave and mini fridge which was very handy. Green areas to walk our dog. Well located (close to the airport and next to I-40). I totally recommend this place!

I wouldn't recommend staying here because one of the ladys that work the night shift will call random people and tell them that you're there and give them your room # also.... I didn't know the night clerk at all, never even crossed my mind that any of this was going to happen. I was having problems with someone stalking me and went to rent a room at the motel 6 off Bolton and made sure I wouldn't have any problems....took a different vehicle....told NOONE where i was going....and paid very close attention to my surroundings. Thirty minutes after being there the stalker shows up, rents a room pretty much beside me...flattens the car tires i was driving....pounds over and over on my room door and blows up my room phone to the point i had to leave it off the hook. It was so bad that i left (after i had to call someone to come pick me up since the car i was was sittings on flat tires). Turns out the night clerk knew the guy i was trying to avoid. He would have never known where i was and none of that would've happened had she not informed him i was there. She violated my privacy, put me in a dangerous situation and caused me to lose money (the $ i was out now since i paid the room and had to leave)

We stayed Weds-Sat at this location for Thanksgiving. I was a little nervous because I made my reservation the day before. Check in literally took 5 mins. The woman up front was nice, and there was a pretty Christmas tree up front. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was just me and my 3 kids. Never heard any loud noise, no one bothered us at all. Housekeeping was really nice. The vending machines were cool for snacks. It’s really close to Walmart, and gas stations so it didn’t take to long to grab what we needed and get back to the room. The price for the stay was less than I expected.

Looks sketchy, but this was honestly the best, most firm bed I slept on over a trip lasting several days on the road. Water pressure was fierce! Floor was vinyl (pet-friendly) and there's lots of road noise since the walls are thin and it's right next to freeway. However, the room fan helps to drown that out. Side note, not relevant to the proprietors but definitely for the customer base: Pet owners, pick up after your dogs! Texas seemed to be the worst; the slogan "don't mess with Texas" apparently does not preclude leaving your dog's mess in Texas!

For the last 4 years, this Motel 6 has been my go-to location when I’m staying in Amarillo. I visit about 2-3 times a year. I have never had any issues with the room(s) and staff is always very friendly. Rooms are updated and always clean upon checkin. The biggest perk for me is that it is pet friendly with a nice designated “potty” area. Unfortunately after my most recent trip, it seems this area of Amarillo is starting to go downhill. On both nights I was staying here, the people above my room were stomping around for hours starting at 2am, lots of commotion in other nearby rooms during the middle of the night (arguing, loud talking, door slamming), these nearby rooms also had multiple “visitors” coming and going during all hours of the day and night. This location has multiple security cameras that do work, but overall I would not feel safe traveling here alone after my last visit.

One of the nicest Motel 6's I have stayed at. Modern updated rooms, nice fridge with a freezer. Big TV with direct tv service. They keep the ac on during hot weather so room was nice and cool when I walked in. Nice shower and bath. Good bed. I had a room in the back away from the road noise. Hurry up and stay here before it gets used too much.

Super friendly staff, very helpful. Great parking lot with plenty of parking. Love that they allow dogs, free of charge. Only issue with room was some bugs but it's Texas. No biggie. Not really close to anything. Can't walk to any food places. But Domino's delivers, very fast and tasty food!

This Motel 6 was very nice. The lobby was very updated and it was clear there are lots of security cameras because in the lobby you can see the large screen of the cameras. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room was very nice and updated, and the sheets were very soft and nice. I was very pleased by this Motel 6!

Rooms are clean and modern. You get a fridge and microwave too! Can't beat the price. Only complaint is it can be a bit noisy being so close to the interstate, but it didn't keep me up at night by any means. No hesitation recommending this place at all, especially by 2023 standards where you can pay a lot more for the same or less elsewhere.

The room was very clean and nice. They offer smoking and non-smoking sections. The parking lot is big and the neighborhood is well. And right in front is a Mexican restaurant you can walk to with great food.

I stayed here one night 10/18/23. It was a last minute decision just before midnight. The property is in a great location with easy access, and it was well lit and clean. The night clerk was very friendly and ask me if I was a veteran, and gave me a discount. The room was modern, updated and spotless..! It is one of the nicest Motel 6 I have ever stayed at. If I have any complaint, it would be that the shower water pressure was low. I highly recommend this Motel 6. And for the price, it's a no brainer...

A family member got stuck w greyhound and was put up here. She's handicap. The room they put her in is very accommodating for her needs. Very clean and she just expressed how kind and helpful the housekeeping, office staff and manager are! She WAS extremely stressed out by the situation but this hotel made sure she is going to be okay during her delay in travel. And she's very confident and stress free now thanks to the staff! THANK YOU ALL

It's a Motel 6, what do you expect? The only reason why we stay there is because they don't charge extra fees for pets. The door didn't seal well and there was rust in the tub. Otherwise the room was clean and cheap which is right up my alley for a quick overnight stay. Mini fridge and microwave was nice to have in the room too! Area didn't seem too bad although there was one houseless person who took up residence at the public bench next door.

Super reasonably priced, and one of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in (even took a bath). Super bright security lights shined thru the curtains that didn't quite cover the window. The door didn't seem to sit in the jamb correctly, so light and sound came thru. A mixup at the front desk had someone trying to come into my room at 530am. Had my dog not gone nuts, they would have opened the door until the security latch stopped them. Also, no shampoo/conditioner FYI.

Stayed here for 1 night when I was passing through. The staff at check in and check out were friendly. The room was clean. The microfridge was a little loud so I had to unplug it before bed. Overall, if you are just looking for a cheap room that's easy to get to, then the 6 is a great option! Would recommend!

I'm always weary about choosing one of the cheapest motels. But in this case I was very pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff. And really clean well kept rooms. You can really tell that ownership and management really try hard to provide customers with a decent experience

Decent bed. Fridge and microwave were very beneficial. Bathroom is super small. Floor was filthy. Walked barefoot after shower. Bottom of feet were black after a few minutes. Super gross.

The renovations were excellent, with the building looking great. Unfortunately, we did not feel safe there, even with the increased lighting at night. The neighborhood around the motel is in terrible shape, and countless homeless people surrounded the motel. Motel 6 really needs to invest in a security fence for guests to sleep peacefully there.

What a lovely experience! Stopped over for 2 nights - the room was super clean with all facilities needed to live and exist comfortably. Bed was huge!! Bathroom was a little small but again super clean and shower was great. TV was good size with ample desk space, open wardrobe and lovely modern sink. Vending machine had snack, drink and general household items (including toothbrush!); even managed to purchase some detergent so we could do our laundry there. Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance so I couldn't try that out but I explored the historic route 66 in Amarillo instead. Reception team were super helpful and friendly. I would totally recommend this motel!

One of the Best Motel 6 I stayed at. The front desk staff is nice and professional. Had no issues from check in to check out. The rooms are nice and remodeled. Did not have any issues with cleanliness

2/6/2022 Friendly staff. Clean facility. Safe and sanitary. Our room faced i40 but we still slept well. Having tried MANY Amarillo lodging options I am comfortable saying this is the best choice in the $60 range. We will be back! Great job motel 6!

I wish every motel was like this. Newly updated rooms, good lighting around parking lot, clean rooms an sheets and most importantly FAIR prices! So sick of these motels/hotels that want to charge almost $200 a night for rooms that are no nicer than the rooms located here. They will have my business anytime I’m in the area.

Nice renovations but the bed leaves something to be desired. This was a quick overnight stay on my way through town but the price was more than fair based on my experience! Only thing really missing was a hair dryer in the room like every other hotel room in my experience and we made-do without.

We've stayed at a lot of Motel 6's on our travels, and this was one of the nicest. We got there after dark. The property was lit up like a Friday-night football stadium. My boys and I aren't worried about safety, but that could be a plus for families with small children. We wanted a double queen room, but the front desk clerk said they only had a double Twin. I asked her if my two boys would fit on a Twin bed. She then gave me a key to check out the room. This is the first time a Motel 6 has let me look at a room before paying for it. Great experience! We stayed here on 4/10, and may be back.
