This is one of the worst place i ever visit. Not recommending to anyone. In year 2009 (i was in grade 10) went here since i had a gap in between my front teeth. Also had a bit difference where my front jaw was bit forward. And they wasted my time till 2014 and asked me to removed two teeth from my upper jaw, since the doc asked i removed and then they put braces on my upper jaw. I become more wired cz already my upper jaw was backwards it was very hard for me to bite etc. Then they said i need to go for a jaw correction surgery after they wasted 2009 to 2016 good 7 years, and said that have to go to Colombo dental institute. Luckly punchi knew the consultant there. Then I went and it was such a good place every one was so cool minor staff to the doc and they asked why they removed two teeth from my upper jaw. I was blank and somehow they managed to do the jaw correction surgeryin 2018 and i had to put two artificial teeth to cover up the gap which occours. (Did this from outside and spend more than hundred thousands for this) I had some days where i went to Maharagama dental around 6.30 am and wait till 1.00pm at a strech even without having a seat and sometimes coming back even without seeing a doc, some where arround 1.00pm nurses are coming and telling "consultant is not available " Please don't do like this to anyone else. When I was in grade 10 only I started this and was lucky enough to finish it in 2018 just 4 months before the graduation just because of the Doc in Colombo dental institute.

Attendant who name as maduwanthi is very rude to patients. She is acting like crazy. She don't reserve that job. Really disappointed about government hospitals because people like this all other good workers also don't get any praise because this type of people's

Dental Institute where you can obtain all types of dental procedures from filling, cleaning or removing. Department of Oral Health. If you are going there for the first time go at 6am to get a number. I was there later than that on my first visit. They work Monday to Saturday. Sunday closed. Saturday half day. Rest of the experience may differ person to person and by officer to officer. As with typical GOVERNMENT institute this place also there are few bullies and there are more professionals too. Wearing a mask is important here.

Attendant namae call maduwanthi she is very rood behavior and she is not suitable for her job and she thinks she isthe ownerof the dental others all are good specialy doctor s are very kind ,but she is over the doctors ,she think , she is good for nothing

If you have the means to go to a private dentist, I would highly recommend doing so. First and foremost, this place is highly crowded and I feel there are not enough dentist and other staff to cater to the demand since this is a free service. Also, as a government service, please be ready to accept bad service levels and poor service.

Really good service in children’s section. Kind doctors and nurses. Don’t waste money for private dentals.

Good service, but late , some officers are friendly

I have been coming to this place since last year, and back then it seemed to be well-organized with efficient and professional staff members. However, during my visit last week, there was an unbelievable change. There were numerous instances of favoritism towards certain staff members who were bringing in outside individuals and serving them without following the proper queue, particularly on the children's side. The situation was not any different for the other side, as I also witnessed the Officer in charge doing the same. Now, it is quite chaotic and unorganized compared to before.
