Beautiful place... The way it looks is very impressive...

With elevations ranging from 1,020–1,500 metres (3,350–4,920 ft), the Manjolai area is set deep in the Western Ghats within the Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve in Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu. Located on top of the Manimuthar Dam and the Manimuthar waterfalls, the Manjolai area comprises tea plantations and small settlements around them, Upper Kodaiyar Dam and a windy viewpoint called Kuthiravetti. The tea plantations and the whole of Manjolai estates are operated by the Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation on forest lands leased from the government of Tamil Nadu. The three tea estates within the Manjolai area are Manjolai Estate, Manimutharu Estate and Oothu Estate. The estates are at elevations between 2300 feet and 4200 feet.

Excellent but isolated. We booked online and went to the guest house. The views are amazing, not many people are allowed so you will have the place to yourself. It was cold and windy. You can drive up to the watch tower

The best place to hangout with cousins and friends. Thought the travel made me sick with continuous climbinh for 2:30 hrs, I enjoyed way more than I expected. Loved this place.

This place is 5kms from Oothu Estate,the road leads you into this place across the tea estate, and Forest you come across small water falls on the way,huge trees,breath taking dense Forest calm environment,once you reach the view point ,u can see all the mountains behind you with an extraordinary view and 2dams to the left and one dam in the front.The top view from this place gives you an thrilled experience of tirunalveli district.

One of the best place I ever been... One of the place which have access to public with restrictions. You can go in your own vehicle. U can't feel cold here. This somewhere have way downhill from the top.

I strongly recommend starting your trip early from the Manithuthaaru check-post to ensure you reach your destination on time. This will also give you ample time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Once you arrive, you'll be rewarded with an excellent panoramic view of Kothayar Upper, Manimutharu, etc., and the chance to breathe in the fresh, invigorating air. Views from watchtower are worth it..one can get birds eye view of manimuthar dam, servalar dam and karaiyar dam..

A beautiful hill station. Accommodation can be arranged through the Forest office only. No hotels available. Need to get road pass if driving your own vehicle or if coming in a tourist bus or so.
