Awful. No other way to describe it. Chips were a mush, my wifes fish, thought not actually off, was getting close to it. Probably died of old age. But the prize goes to the kebab. The only apt description of it would be a puddle. The pitta was like wet tissue paper, and the salad stewed. I doubt i would ever be hungry enough to go again, but if i ever do get that hungry, I would rather chew on my own boots. The only upside to the experience is that we have actually survived.

Just called in for pie chips and peas and a potatoe fritter and the food was awful. Thepie was fine, all they had to do was warm that up. The chips were like dried up twigs and bit of wood, obviously cooked at lunch, 4 hours later they were inedible, straight in the bin, tried the potatoe fritter - still raw in the middle and batter was rancid, cooking oil not changed for at least a month maybe longer. Straight in the bin, the peas served had to be scped off the side of the pan. AWFUL. Would i go there again..... never less than a mile away is leesbrook chippy, having chucked my food in the bin went there for fish and chips was it good lol itwas fabulous. Please do not waste your money at Codnor chippy.

Not great food, when I visited at lunchtime today... Ordered Steak pie and chips, and the first red flag was, when I seen the guy ( through the glass display food cabinet ) physically touch the pie with his bare hands, to check if it was hot enough! It wasn't, it was cold inside... then when I tried the chips, they were dry, chewy and hard mostly... It seems as though they were leftover chips from an earlier session, just reheated. Absolutely horrible. Fortunately, I'm not local, so I won't be back again soon, but next time I visit this town, I will buy lunch from 'The Gate' chippy up the road!

Well where do you begin. Fish was over cooked and very greasy !!!! Doner meat greasy with no flavour. The girls behind the counter all have false nails on and hair all over the place. Asked if they had a higene rating and they said they were waiting for it. But said they had been there 4 years and nobody had complained.WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH AND WILL NOT BE RETURNING. I hope other people read the reviews.

Ordered online went to collect they'd not even seen my order. So we waited. Got food home and my naan bread was green and rock solid. It could not be eaten. I felt sick after seeing all the green over it (no salad to blame) and threw it all in the bin. What a waste. Won't be going back anytime soon. Disappointed, it was lovely a year ago...

Had a kebab delivered chips was lovely the Donna kebab was awful hard bits in it like grit would never order from here again

Erm a solid 7/10. Would of preferred the peas and curry not actually mixed together although tasted fine. Also wanted the fish on top rather than on the side. My fish was large enough however Goggz was left a little short on his, we ate in which gave us a slightly better experience. overall 6.8/10.

Absolutely Disgusting .. I Ordered Fish Chips And Peas And Got Chips And Peas The Staff Are Either Death Or Just Stupid And The Tray Of Peas Are Dry As Anything Never Again Will I Give My Money To Condor Fish Bar And I Don’t Recommend These To Anyone Else Either Stay Clear

Major bad attitude with me as I went half hour before closing chips was so soggy could of rung them out. Would go hear ever again!!!!!

Probably the worst tasting food around, however they do have a large variety of food.

Friendly staff, open all day (a lot of chip shops close halfway through the day!) and good selection. Pizzas aren’t THE BEST pizzas you’ve ever had but they’re mega cheap and fast. Great deals on them. Recommended!

Good prices and great food. Have had fish and chips from here twice in the last month. The fish was cooked whilst I waited, takes a little longer but worth it in the end. Would recommend this plaice.......sorry for the pun!

Carry on to macdonalds, better value, stopped to get a kids meal.. small chips and sausage £4.50! Not sure if they thought I was feeding borrowers. Poor!

2nd time I felt uncomfortable when asked about what sauce I wanted on my kebab. I like to have lemon juice on first as it makes the meat juicier however today when I asked I was made to feel uncomfortable and I'd go as far to say as the guy was rude and offended about it. Does it matter? I'm a customer so what is the issue. Just won't go jn again. If you like you kebab made a certain way be ready for the attitude!

Drove here after a failed online collection order elsewhere. Prompt service, generous portions and reasonably priced! Be aware cash only for collections which is not well advertised!
