    Breakfast queue was 25mins inside. Got my dbl sausage egg, was missing egg. Went straight back inside they slapped an old cold egg on and gave it me back. Took a bit and had to bin everything was cold and stale. Not the first time it's been bad at any time of the day. Don't expect gourmet food or even good food but the care and quality of this place is dreadful. I honestly have no idea why they remain in business let alone keep a food licence

    I am pretty sure a prerequisite for being employed at this branch is to be not overly bright, I’m sure there’s a box on the application form that must be ticked reference poor attitude, inability to read. I realise YOLO or living your best life aren’t applicable to being employed by McDonalds but why inflict your dissatisfaction with life choices on others? It’s basic really, you order food, you pick the order and hand it to the customer. Not the case. “Would you like any dip, just say no, you’re not getting any regardless of the answer. I would say the last 6-7 orders have been incorrect, missing food, incorrect food, missing straws. I ordered today, approximately £8.00 in value, happy meal, Big Mac and hamburgers. Checked it, looked correct. Could this be the day? Don’t be daft - there were cheeseburgers in hamburger wrappers when I got home. I wouldn’t mind but you are never offered an apology. 1 Star - Generous

    Several times we have used this McDonald’s and repeatedly the service is terribly slow even when not busy. Waited 11 minutes on last visit with one couple waiting, one car in the drive through and two online orders on the screen. The food was cool yet again, watched the manager walk past a basket of fries stood over the fryer for several minutes, lots of food just sat under a single heat lamp bulb so don’t know how they manage it, as I counted 3 people in the kitchen and 3 on the front on a weekday evening, plus drive thru staff, several people in my office have repeatedly complained that the food is cold. Use the one near Designer Outlet although it’s busy they serve hot food on every occasion.

    First time we've been to the Ripley McDonalds and it's one of the best visits, Burger wasn't very hot, but they happily exchanged it, quote a quiet atmosphere and staff where lovely, polite and friendly.

    Ordered two identical burgers, they got one correct (only cheese, ketchup and mustard) and the other couldn't possibly have been more wrong (NO cheese, ketchup or mustard). Not only that, the burgers had clearly been sat around for ages as they were so dry they were inedible by the time we got home (we live 3-4 minutes away) They also forgot to put the dips in for both the chicken select meal and the 9 nuggets after asking us which dips we wanted. Something that this branch in particular seems to do 100% of the time. Why even bother asking what dips people want if you are literally NEVER going to put them in the bag? This is all from one single visit, but we've had many smaller issues in the past (fries missing, dips missing, wrong burger toppings, missing nuggets/select chicken etc). This one however sealed the deal for us, the two of us who had the burgers felt very off for a couple of days after. With so many better quality burger joints and fast food places so close to this maccies we certainly won't be returning.

    Absolute poor show of customer service today. As a taxi driver, I bought a customer through the drive thru. The employee taking the order didn’t clearly listen to my customer, then got very personal with him when taking his money. To which I asked him if he knew her and he said no. She then made a mistake and missed a couple of items, which she didn’t charge for (fair enough) because she clearly wasn’t listening. Then at the pick up window another employee would not take the measures to correct the mistake of their colleague, neither did a manager. Telling both me as the driver and the customer to either go in or line back up through the drive thru because of a mistake that one of the mangers staff has made. Rather than take 2 minutes to charge the customer for the item, which he was more than willing to pay for, therefore correcting the staff mistake, the manager chose to discuss with me (I was trying to exercise good customer service by fighting the corner of my customer) at length why she couldn’t take the money through that particular window that the customer was willing to pay for. Me personally, I don’t use this particular Mac Donald’s as I do think most of the staff are quite rude, today the experience of my customers in the taxi has proved me right. Whoever owns this particular franchise no doubt WILL lose money in the long run.

    Absolutely shocking service, never get your order right, always have to wait ages for your food then when it comes its cold and wrong. Worst mcdonalds I've ever been to. How can every other mcdonalds manage it bit ripley can't???? It just gets worse every time. I try and use Alfreton or Langley mill now as they are both amazing

    Got myself the Bacon BBQ Stack and it was the juiciest burger I've had from McDonald's and now my favourite. Highly recommended. Service always good at this Chesterfield location too.

    Twice ive been in with my kids in the past two weeks. Once on Sunday for breakfast at 10am for table service. Waited and waited, it was busy, after getting frustrated and speaking to two staff before the final time to find out my order was lost and they had to redo it. We ended up getting our breakfast items after two couples near us received their lunch order, which was still missing my drink. The second time I went in with just my little boy, The drive thru was packed and I decided to go in to do takeaway order, we sat down waiting, again busy, listening every time an order was called and again nothing. So i went up after 40-50 minutes and a manager checked my order disappeared around the corner for 2 seconds and came back saying we shouted several times i will have to redo it with an disgusting tone to me, i argued back i had been sat there listening and waiting and it was never called out, she argued back they walked around with the tray too. 1 it was a takeaway order and they wouldn't walk around with it on a tray. 2, no one was walking around at any point asking if anyone if this was their order. I would have just been ok with fixing it and getting our food we now waited just over an hour by the time we got it but her attitude to me and talking down to me when i hadn't untill she out right lied to my face and try blame me with her disgusting attitude. She needs some training or they need to find a new manager. I would have happily sat and watched the cctv to show she was out of line and see her face drop. I will now be going out my way to go to Langley mill McDonald's as Ripley has gone down hill, also had lots of issues with the app and a 2 hour wait for a happy meals for my kids via deliveroo app from this place just to top it off

    Almost the slowest McDonald's in the UK! We waited absolute ages for 2 simple iced frappe's that we could have canoed to Iceland ourselves to collect the ice. If you're looking for fast food in this area, try sainsburys around the corner.

    Literally never had hot food out of this establishment yet, the order is usually wrong and try asking for a managers name it's literally the most impossible request I eventually got the name Becky after she refused multiple times to give it. Please can the head office actually look into this embarrassment, and someone train the management to do they're job properly.

    Awful from head to toe ordered my food to have it instantly rejected when I live less than a mile away, I’m aware this is an Uber eats issue but you want to sort it out with them because they’ve lost you another customer by texting me telling me my orders been cancelled please ring butterly park McDonald’s which I did only to be met with someone who says I should not have contacted her but the text from Uber eats said to do so absolute shambles wouldn’t bother again

    Getting less and less impressed with this place. Very slow with getting orders out, we had half our order brought to us which was the burgers and had to wait 5/10 mins for the rest which by that point the other stuff was cold because everyone knows mcdonalds food goes cold quickly. Also didn't help that the air con was on full blast, it was freezing. I asked a member of staff to turn it down but nothing was ever done, I put my hood up it was that cold and a lady who was sat near us had her coat and scarf on and was chatting about how cold it is every time we go there. She also said she's given up complaining because they don't do anything. I won't be going back to this one in a hurry.

    It's always really clean on here. Food is always hot and of a good standard. There's plenty of seating and you get served fairly quickly. It's the best McDonald's in this area by far.

    Ruth front of house is so helpful. I was struggling to carry my grand daughter as we were both tired. She got us all sorted with highchair, fetched the order and got crayons etc for my grand daughter. Thank you made it a whole much better experience

    Great restaurant, not too busy at that time in the morning. Some neanderthal had p*ssed all over the disabled toilet seat and floor, I let the cleaners know and they sorted it straight away. Hats off to them for doing it so quickly 👏

    I have had some horrible experiences few month ago, food not bagged accordingly, hash broens from breakfast menu was placed on bottom and squashed by the Time they arrived. I think you should employ more adult staff or at least have someone who would overlook the situation

    Not fit for purpose. Described as a fast food restaurant. This is a slow food restaurant. As other reviewers have said, they appear to prioritise the delivery companies above the customers who attend the premises in person. On my last visit I waited at the counter for 20 minutes for a sausage and egg mcmuffin, a hash brown and a bottle of orange juice. This will be my last visit.

    On arrival there was a big queue. Lorry was blocking the exit road. Waited 15 mins to give our order. Then another 15 mins to get our order. There were no milk shakes. The chips were cold. Not very happy 😕

    This is no longer a fast food place. They now concentrate on the delivery companies. My food was luke warm, no ice in the drinks, half of the space was closed because they either didn't want to clean again or it wasnt clean and no one there cleaning. Our number was not announced so we had to look out for it. Not my best experience of McDonald's..

    Very disappointed again using the Ripley branch . Simple order through the drive through of happy meal for grandson and coffee for me . Drive through wasn’t busy but after being handed the drink’s I was told to park up and wait . On parking up I found my coffee to be only luke warm (not the first time ) and wait to get my grandson’s food . Recently I’ve been using the Alfreton branch which is always great service but made the mistake of using the Ripley branch as i was in the area . Not impressed at all
