We had a horrible experience at this hotel. We stood in the lobby for 15min waiting for someone to check us in. There was a nasty smell throughout the hotel, and everything we came in contact with was unkept. We got to our room and noticed what appeared to be seminal spray all across the headboard of the bed. We notified the front desk staff of the disgusting biohazardous material but they offered no solution. Would not give us a new room, or a cot so we didn’t have to sleep on the dirty bed. No apology or attempt to help. There was no manager to speak to. So we had no choice but to leave. We had to find another hotel to go late at night in new city. The front desk staff called us every 5 min harassing us to leave. No attempt to make this situation right. We were utterly horrified with the lack of customer support. LaQuinta has failed to respond to our emails about this situation. We will never stay at a La Quinta or Wyndham hotel again. Can not trust their ability to provide a clean, and comfortable stay. They do not take care of their guests!

I Booked a room here back in the beginning of August. I didn't have time to write a review but SEVERAL MONTHS later, im still shocked at how poor the service was. Im from Canada and just booked here because I was shopping in the US. I booked through Expedia. We drove 3 hours to this hotel only for the front deskman to yell at us and claim we had no bookings. We asked him to check the system, as we ALREADY PAID, and he yelled at us (keep in mind we were calm) telling us to call Expedia and his exact words were that it wasn't his problem. We are in a foreign country and the charges would be astronomical if we called for a mistake that was his, not to mention most Canadians don't buy a plan since it's so expensive to call and have data in the US. We are a family of four nearly stranded. I refused to budge out of the hotel. I kept showing him my receipt and booking details from Expedia and he refused to even take a look at it more than once. Keep in mind we travel frequently and this is the first and only time I ever had trouble with checking in, we frequently use Expedia as well so I believe it is not the fault of Expedia. Eventually he called his manager who confirmed we DID in fact have a booking, and the front desk man did not even APOLOGIZE and threw the room key at us. I was shocked because service this poor is not normal in Canada. We were still polite, but wow. Apologize for not knowing how to do your job correctly, at least. I am also starting to think this was because we are tan-skinned and he assumed we are Arabs/muslims and treated us poorly because of this, the staff were all of Indian hindu decent. Not saying this to be menacing, but I do feel like his poor treatment of us was racially motivated. However, the other staff were decent. Apart from that the rooms and hallways were in bad condition. Paint was peeling, the walls in the showers/bathroom were completely destroyed (I took pictures on my husbands iPhone and will post when I review on his google account), furniture was broken and chipped, and the TV did not work. The only good thing I can say is that the free breakfast had better options than most other hotels. I will never book this hotel again, ONE NIGHT cost me over $200 CAD. will only choose proper, hotel chains from now, ESPECIALLY when I am travelling to the US. Seems they have no upkeep and customer service standards like in Canada.

We booked this hotel as it was in a good location for the stores we wanted to shop at while visiting from Canada. Pros : pool , location to shopping , restaurants , highway. Bed was comfy. Front desk check in was seemless and friendly staff. Cons : multiple large stains on our sheets. We called down to request new sheets and we were told they don’t have housekeeping and needed to come get them from the front desk. After putting the new sheets on the bed , found they also had stains. Room and hallways smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Our daughter had a hard time falling asleep because of this. Breakfast had typical items , except all the bread items were hard and stale and eggs / sausages were cold.

Disgusting hotel. I have never been in this hotel. Total disaster. I booked a two queen bed. They didn’t clean the bathtub and toilet. The front desk came up and saw so he gave us another room. The second room was even worse. These are a few things I saw at this hotel which you can see in the pictures. Sheets are stained and smelled. The room smelled bad. Trash was not removed( someone left a can of truly) All walls were stained and dirty. Blood stain on curtains. Just look at the picture that I took from both rooms. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. I’m happy that I checked in late and I leave early morning. Wish I checked in earlier to have a choice to find another hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel. It is the third one for us on this trip and by far the cleanest most welcoming. We have stayed at some expense hotels that could not hold up to this one. The staff was very nice and welcoming.

Super loud yappy dogs on first floor. Very friendly manager who changed my room. Not clean. Lots of damaged furniture. Very old carpet. Shower is so bad my daughter had to stand in one place to avoid dirt. A slow trickle. Hallways smell. White bread for breakfast - a few other very low quality offerings. Find a different place and spend a couple extra bucks.

The hotel is maintained well.. Quick Check-in and check-out. The room was neat and clean.. Very spacious.. Bathroom was clean and ample towels were available. Free Breakfast - Eggs, potatoes, Bread, Pork sausage, Cereals, Oats, Coffee, and a waffle station. Free parking - ample available .. !! There was a whirling sound in the room through the night but very light .. Bed and pillow was not the greatest; ok for 1 night.. surprised they didnt provide toothpaste and Body lotion in the bathroom...

We love this hotel. Rooms were so big, bed was huge. Hotel always smells clean and crisp upon entering. Breakfast was amazing every morning. Staff is so nice and kind. We needed a shower chair for my hubby who is an amputee, they made it happen last minute. Breakfast area is nice and clean. Food is well made and fresh. The hotel has a great warm, happy feeling. You can tell the managers love their jobs. We will for sure come back for a 7th time. Beat hotel we have ever been at.

Comfortable rooms, clean, neat and very friendly staff. The location also is excellent. Lots of restaurants both fast casual and casual within a mile of this location. Breakfast was satisfactory. Will certainly use this location again on my next visit to the Buffalo area.

Worst hotel ever. We checked in late at night because we were coming by road. The receptionist was rude and were talking among themselves at checkin while I was standing there waiting. The rooms were dirty, untidy and the sheets weren’t changed. The washroom wasn’t even flushed when we reached. When we reported to the receptionist and she was extremely rude and had an attitude of leave if you don’t like. It was 12:30 am and it would have been impossible to find somthing that late. Never coming back the Lackawanna NY location

I don't usually give a five/five for anything but literally, we have nothing to complain about! Overall hotel is very clean, room was EXACTLY as the photo online, friendly staff, conveniently located to the things on our agenda. I've seen negative reviews about breakfast and animals and let me say, breakfast is not a highlight. It is a standard hotel breakfast. If you want Bob Evans, it is literally at the end of the drive! As an animal lover (altho we did not travel with pets) THANK YOU for this amenity, no issues at all with barking, smell or mess! You're doing a great job 💜

This was a very nice budget friendly hotel. We stayed one night. It was a nice large room and bathroom. The facility was quiet and provided the rest that we needed. The free breakfast was more than adequate and bonus our doggie got to stay with us! We would stay again if ever in the area. We did not have any cleanliness issues as some have written about. Our room was very clean and new feeling.

Rented a room at the Red Roof Inn earlier..the room was disgusting. After calling a few hotels in the area, we were able to get a room at LA Quinta. The room was spacious, a/c was quiet, room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent. We will book this hotel our next visit to the area.

I stayed her last month and I thought it was a nice place for the price . Since I travel to Buffalo often I made this my go to hotel as we as telling people I travel with to do the same . However , after my last stay 2 days ago this all changed . Myself or anyone I know will stay here . There were cob webs all over the ceiling over the bed 1 actually fell on my son while he was sleeping when I tried to call the front desk the phone was not workings so I had to get dressed and go downstairs . The man at the front desk was NOOO help at all he said s9rry we can't move your room and there isn't anyone to clean it now . He told me to talk to a manager in the morning of course there was no manager there 3 days after checkout still no call . Horrible customer service they definitely lost me as a customer!

I can’t describe how unsettling it was to walk into my room after a 10 hour drive to see that it wasn’t clean. They “attempted” to clean the room but I knew immediately that all they did was make the bed. Dust on furniture, hair on the floor, toothpaste crusted on the bathroom counter and the killer was the toilet seat up with urine on the toilet. They don’t clean the rooms daily and I’m fine with that but the very least my room should be clean when I arrive. I had to ask the front desk for cleaning products so I could clean it myself. I will never return to this location. They should be ashamed!!

Fantastic hotel especially if considering the price! Honestly a steal. The rooms are clean and neat. The bed is comfortable. Free breakfast is included but I would say it is fairly mediocre at best.

The room is good. Price reasonable. Staff friendly. They don't make beds or vacuum unless you request the night before. Fitness center is typical, but there's no towels, and nothing to wipe down the equipment after use, a definite bad. Breakfast eggs were cold even though they were in chafing dish. Coffee sweetener was only sugar which my husband cant have, and sweet and low which is disgusting. No equal or splenda. We ate there only once, then went to Bob Evans on subsequent days.

The hotel was lovely, our room was very nicely decorated and comfortable, the reason I gave the room review 4 stars is that our room had a very strong odor we think it was curry. The moment we walked in it just kind of hit us in the face. We noticed the the air conditioner was not on, we turned it on and as the room cooled the smell was less noticeable, but still there. As long as the AC was on the smell didn't bother us and we did get used to it after a while. If we had stayed for more than 2 nights, we would have asked to change rooms. The bathroom was great, lots of counter space and the shower had great pressure. Breakfast was not great, but was ok, the one thing I would mention about the seating is that the chairs are so low and because I am short I could barely reach the table when I sat down, and ended up having to forget about eating my breakfast as you are not able to take food to the room.I would definitely stay there again, but have breakfast elsewhere.

It is a nice place to stay. The location is great, very easy to get around and close to University at Buffalo. The rates are very affordable (unless there is a Bills Game) and the rooms and hallways are very clean. I will definitely be staying again. I have 4 years of visiting my son at school and this was the 3rd hotel and the best one yet and in my price range.

Great hotel very clean and fairly new. Not many rooms - nice swimming pool. Overall great. There is no kettle in the room and the breakfast area is quite small and not enough seats. Have to bring breakfast to room but there is a sign there to not do that . Breakfast choices not that great either . Could use some more items on the menu.

We stayed there before had a great stay we orgin from canada. upon return home i checked my credit card and was charged twice for my 2 night stay $275.10 and another $275.10 this charge was processed on my credit card. I was upset called the hotel to tell them. They continued to tell me only 1. My TD VISA confirmed there was a second charge on my card so total stay for 2 nights $550.20. I am now in a legal dispute over this second charge which has caused tremendous distress of this second charge. I was told by next wednesday which the charge still remained. My credit card company says you were billed twice. There appears to be no resolution with the hotel. I am devasated on this event which we as seniors cant always afford a break to the USA with the low exchange. We loved meeting them both at the hotel and would go out of their way to make sure your stay was amazing. My credit card company does not lie. I know what a HOLD looks like stayed lots at hotels. This is not a hold a actual charge again. Money dosent grow on trees. I will never stay there again. I am total heartbroken at this event. My credit card company validated this is another charge to my card. I am asking the owners to make this right this has nothing to do with my card company the merchant charged me twice. I now distrust staying anywhere else and will ensure we pay cash or travel to another hotel that we never had issues. I am sorry for this review but you failed to do anything to help me resolve this issue. My TD visa is looking into this matter of the double payment as of July 18th. They will not tell me who made the error so I will never know who was at fault on this matter. The great distress this has caused me. That being said my proof of 1 room and 2 night stay thank heavens I asked for a reciept. That being said I will use cash from now on to pay for a room and use the credit card as a hold. Whether or not this is ERROR on the computer glitch that happened or somewhere in cyberland THIS has never happened to me ever and we have stayed with you before with NO CONCERNS your amazing customer service outstanding in juggling little issues you always manage to RESOLVE in a moment and really go out of your way. AND that being said the was a double charge to card but somehow something went wrong in charging me twice for 2 nights with 1 room. $275.00 USA equals close to over $350.00 canadian and my as elderly on a pension thats alot of money. Lesson learned from now cash out at the end of the stay which I thought the end of the stay you are billed on checkout not the day you check in. You are both amazing people always going that extra mile. This was a unfortunate incident that was a very well lesson learned. I will check my card everytime on line anywhere I go. We made several purchases at vendors with no issue.

During my one-night stay at Laquita, the reception was pleasant. The room appeared fine upon entry, except for the poorly made bed. Unfortunately, upon further inspection, I found stains and hair on the bed sheet, and the pillow cover seemed unclean with red stains. The bed side table had stains I promptly reported the issue to the receptionist, who apologized and provided us with fresh bed sheets and pillow covers. However, this experience left me questioning the quality of their housekeeping service. It is not acceptable to give stained bed sheets and pillow cover .

The service is too bad. while checking in, they said they don't do any room service. we were asked to bring the dirty towels to the front desk to get the new ones. Bath tub was completely clogged, they removed the clog but didn't clean the tub. They said room service is not available every day we stayed there for 3 days. they didn't clean the room at all whereas their website says it does have room service. Breakfast experience is terrible they do refill the yogurt (some unknown brand) or fruits like 3 or 4 We never saw a decent number of options in the refrigerator. (Most of time it's empty only cream cheese is kept there) .Breakfast area trashes were full, we were told that they remove trash only once after the breakfast time. The lobby smells terrible they allow pets but they don't clean frequently. Stay away from this hotel if you are allergic to dogs!

Lovely hotel. Bright and clean. Beds were so comfortable with a large walk in shower. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Liked the fact that each room had a refrigerator and microwave. TV was so easy to figure out with lots of options. Great hotel. Would stay here again.

The hotel always smells freshly sanitized and clean upon entry. Check in was easy and fast. The room is beautiful and very clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The waffles and coffee at breakfast definitely hit the spot. It is located right off the 290 making it easy to travel.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. We got completely ripped off while trying to stay here. I hope management will see this as well. We drove from another state to stay here and on arrival we’re told that we had to be 21 to stay. When we checked before leaving our house the age said 18 online so we thought we would be okay. They let us book and pay them not being 21. We asked how to get refunded and they said we had to go through Expedia. Thankfully we found an Air BnB to stay in. We then called multiple customer service numbers for a refund since being denied to stay there. Everyone told us we had to go through the hotel to get the money. When we called them back they interrupted and we’re unhelpful and rude and still won’t give us our money back. Do not stay here.

Our door handle was broken,so we asked housekeeping about it and the front desk to which we were told it had been broken for 3 months. We also had to go down to the front desk for towels. Went down 10 minutes before breakfast ended to grab a yogurt and I was told breakfast was over. I asked the lady for a yogurt and said it was 10 of, then I was given a rude response. Lastly, two cockroaches were in my suitcase when I arrived home and one was found in our room. Will not be staying ever again.

The WORST customer service in Wyndham hotels. Shah, asked me “why would I book here”, after being rude due to asking for a different room. The bathrooms are not cleaned throughly and had feces staines inside the toilet. When brought to his attention he said well then go back to the room you didn’t want or leave. He refused to let me speak with his manager and also yelled at me. It is not my first time staying here, or having rude encounters with him or the staff. But will be my LAST time staying here. No respect, no customer service skills, and no accountability. Don’t waste your money here, stay somewhere else!!!

Do yourself a favour and stay away from this hotel. The room was a nice size & for the most part clean. Our biggest complaint was our neighbours in the 3 rooms next to us. Screaming kids and adults in the hallway and the constant strong smell of marijuana. All of this occurring at midnight! My husband went down to speak to someone at the front desk and there was no one around and the office door was shut. There's absolutely no security and we weren't about to confront our neighbours so we just dealt with it. The breakfast was horrible. Very few choices and the eggs (well the powdered eggs) were disgusting. Nothing was replenished if you missed out oh well your loss. A man asked for bacon as it was all gone and the woman who worked there said she'd bring him some and he could cook it himself in the microwave! We've stayed in La Quinta hotels before and we were impressed with them and that's the only reason we chose this hotel. But never again. We didn't feel safe.

+no bugs of any kind (I always check throughly) +pet friendly ($20/night) +friendly staff +we had a large spacious room ~ The room was adequately clean but it could have been better. I found cardboard shreds under the sofa and my dog found an almond under the desk. - Breakfast was sparse but also adequate

Ignore any negative reviews! This hotel had great customer service with a "sirs" or "ma'am" when we entered the hotel. No pan faces judging us! The room was perfectly clean and ready, even though we arrived a hour before check in time. We choose it because of it's pet friendly policy.

Nice hotel, huge room, pleasant staff, enjoyed our stay. Room had dead flies in windowsill that should have been cleaned and couch was SO stained I wouldn't touch it. Breakfast was good but server wouldn't get me salt (?) and both double toasters broken on one side so there was a big line up for toasting anything.

We needed a last minute hotel so looked online & opted for this place. It was not a good experience here. Our room on the 5th floor had outlets in the bathroom that were not working. We had to do our hair routine in the bed area with no mirror. The desk guy came up to make sure that we turned on the light switch in the bathroom which we assured him was not the issue. He said someone would look at it in the morning which was our checkout time. He offered another room but we were exhausted from travel so did not wish to haul our things around and possibly have a different issue. Also the guide in the TV did not work so no way to know what was available on TV. He stated he was aware...I called customer service and waiting to hear back at this time...days later still no effort from the hotel to either apologize or refund any amount.

I haven't even been here 20 minutes and im already impressed! AS SOON as you walk in youre greeted by the smell of bleach (a HUGE plus for me). The woman who checked me in was very very kind and helpful...i was kinda in a bad mood b4 i got here...then when i got to the room it smelled like some kinda freshly cleaned and sanitized smell...i travel with bleach cleaner but i honestly dont think ill need it bcuz everything is super clean. And location is awesome, near a mall and all of that type of stuff. Has fridge micro coffee . I cant speak on the breakfast but honestly i dont expect a gourmet dining experience when i stay at hotels.

My stay was okay. I stayed for a total of 5 days and the hotel has potential. The check in process was easy and the gentleman was very friendly. He provided my keys but did not explain anything about breakfast or wifi. There is a sign about breakfast when you get to the elevator so that is the only reason why I knew and the wifi I figured out on my own. Next, the look of the hotel is nice. The common areas were clean. Next up...the room, this is where for a newer looking hotel they need improvement. I was in a king executive suite and hopefully I can attach pictures but the room was okay. Bed was made and appeared to be clean. Emphasis on appeared. The sofa is in need of a deep cleaning so I did not let my son sit on it. It was also showing signs of wear as the cushion is unraveling and very noticeable stains on the sofa and carpet. The bathroom was clean but the sink was draining slow which is a sign of clogging and the pipes smell when you first turn on the bathroom sink, not the shower. The refrigerator was clean and worked properly. I don't drink coffee so I am unsure if the coffee machine worked. I also did not use the microwave but looked inside and someone burned something in it because there was a black spot. The bed was nice, clean, and comfortable. The office desk was clean but the office chair had leaves in it. Cleaning crew should pay attention to all areas. I did wipe down the desk and chair with a wipe. It is spacious and has plenty of room though. Overall the experience was okay. I would ask for another room next time though. The breakfast was basic but I did not see any sausage or bacon. Another reviewer said you had to request it but like I stated before I was not explained about breakfast when I checked in. Also, typically most rooms have a book with that information this one did not. My other issue is when not only myself but my sister who stopped by to bring me something told the staff about the issues, I was never contacted about them. Also, in all fairness I do not think the gentleman I informed even knew what was talking about. Maybe there was a language barrier but I am not sure. He did not write anything down or make note. The area was safe. Would I stay again? Maybe if they had a bit of TLC with cleaning rooms yes. Training is needed for staff in customer service (branding) and what to do when customers report issues.

From breakfast to the rooms to just the smell of the hotel. Even the elevators smell great all day. I would recommend staying there if your in the area. The staff is very accommodating to anything as well and super friendly. If you ask me that's all I'd want in a hotel and more!!

The worst experience of staying in a hotel. So filthy and disgusting. The room was so filthy and they didn’t even clean the trash from last guest, sheets smelled and had stains all over. The towels were stained. The lobby was soaked from the pool water and no cleaning was done. The hotel in general was not clean at all and all sanitizer were empty! such a weak performance of management.

The staff was extremely rude from the minute I walked into the hotel. When I had a problem with the bedbug they almost accused me for making it up. The following morning they didn’t even tell the cleaning lady about the bedbug in that specific room. The manager at the time raised his voice at me that I was welcome to leave for the second night of our stay and didn’t offer any refund. At 8pm the manager called the police to confront guests who were hanging out in the hallway. He didn’t even warn them. That was the rudest experience I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. And I’ve stayed in many hotels and I would never recommend that hotel to anyone.

Decided to go to the Buffalo area for NYE and booked a room for three other friends and I. This was one of the cheapest options that was still somewhat close to the downtown area for a last minute booking. The man who checked us in was nice and we had no issues. We did go downstairs at one point and noticed he was arguing with another customer about their reservation. We checked the rooms throughout. No bugs. Small stain on one bed. The shower did not drain well. There were not enough towels and no soap so we went ahead and bought our own. The small refrigerator was not cold enough for the food and drinks we had. In terms of cleanliness, it was overall decent and worked for what we paid for. The breakfast wasn’t that good either. Beware of the “insta eggs”. We didn’t get any sleep the second night because there was a large group teenagers fighting right outside of our room until about 3 or 4am. Unfortunately their room was right across from ours, so we heard all of it, along with our door being banged on at times. Someone did call the cops and it seemed to quiet down for a little bit after that, but by around 6am they were in the hall again. We couldn’t wait to leave by morning. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It’s also right off a busy highway, so the intersection is a bit tough to leave from depending on which way you’re turning. You might have better luck with the two other hotels next to it.

We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms (bedroom and bathroom) were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the main part of the hotel and the grounds were well maintained.

For the price, it wasn't bad and the staff. The only thing is out of the three rooms we got one room had no soap and other hygiene product. We couldn't find any cleaning staff but the front desk was helpful.

The room is comfortable and big, but the lighting system is weird. You can't turn in the bathroom light unless the hall switch is on. If you like pillows you might want to request extras. There are a lot of outlets on the nightstand, which is nice. No alarm clock though.

Newer updated rooms. We were impressed by the cleanliness. Beds were comfortable. Coffee downstairs in the morning was excellent. Check-in and out were both very quick and easy. Reception was very pleasant. Our only problem was we didn't have enough towels. Just had to go down to get more. All in all great stay

Checked in last night, lovely room, all the amenities. Laid down for a cozy sleep only to be woken up by BED BUGS munching away on my legs and arms at 3am. I quickly talked to the front desk and he promptly switched our room. In the morning when I spoke with the front desk to let them know this was an issue for them and for me, I was asked “were they really bedbugs?” ! YES, they are. And I have pictures. La Quinta, I have been to this location before. A little more respect should be given to your customers!

Excellent stay place for an reasonable price…!! We were welcomed nicely by the staff and had a swift check in. Rooms were big, neat and clean. We felt as if we were staying at our home. They had a great variety of options for breakfast. Overall I would recommend this place and I would definitely visit again, and it is close to highways.
