Nefertiti Tokyo

Restaurant Egyptian restaurant

😠 Terrible experience. We ordered baklava to take away, the server asked me how many and I, expecting him to mean how many pieces as many other restaurants in Tokyo do, said 3, I feel like he really should have double checked with me at this point but he didn’t, we waited for a long time for the bakla... People often mention Egyptian, good, restaurant, Tokyo, water,

Terrible experience. We ordered baklava to take away, the server asked me how many and I, expecting him to mean how many pieces as many other restaurants in Tokyo do, said 3, I feel like he really should have double checked with me at this point but he didn’t, we waited for a long time for the baklava and rushed home, once I got home and checked my bag I realized I hadn’t gotten baklava at all but 3 trays of some other coconut dessert or something that I did not enjoy. I am a middle eastern person who goes to these restaurants to taste a bit of home - I know this isn’t baklava. There’s no nuts, no syrup and it’s full of some cream. Feel utterly scammed especially after realizing we paid 700 yen per box for this dessert which, again, I did not order and do not enjoy. Also the waiter was unpleasant the whole night and we were charged 550 yen for water, in Tokyo, where bottled water can be found for 110 yen at every corner. I would not go back.

It’s an Egyptian restaurant located in Tokyo. The food is really very delicious and good service. Fresh food and nice Arabian music with an ancient EGYPT antiques every where even the dishes, spoons, cups with a pharaohs design. 東京にあるエジプト料理店。食べ物は本当にとてもおいしいと良いサービスです。

Delicious authentic Egyptain food that has a truly home cooked taste. The decor reminds me of an Egyptian bazar and you are transported to Egypt from the moment you enter the hieroglyphic embossed main door. If you are in Tokyo yoiu should give this place a shot if you want to try good Egyptian food.l

The staff was sometimes high-handed while the other female staff was polite. Food is acceptable and Rhia's belly dancing was worth seeing!

overpriced dishes.. and very ridiculous how they don't serve water at all (even after asking for it.. because they ask you to purchase your mineral water) maybe it's just me not experienced with Egyptian food, but there are a good few times where you feel they forgot to add sugar in their drinks and desserts. with the price we ate for (6000 yen per person), I could've had a much more satisfying meal.

Probably should have known going to an Egyptian place in Roppongi, but the prices don't at all match the quality and quantity. (Hardly any hummus!, 550 for warm water, etc) Had a tacky decor, the dancing lasted way too long, and any touristy (which this absolutely is!) restaurant that doesn't accept card is just out of touch. Don't waste your money, go to a kebab shop if you need to, or else any izakaya for a better time.

Halal restaurant located in one of the busiest location in Rappongi hills in Tokyo in the main dori. I ordered Mishwiya combination of grilled meat. However they served fried flat beef kebab, fried chicken and foul smelling lamb chop. It was a very old piece. When I asked about fries pieces, they denied it is grilled when oil poring from the pieces. There were no customers except me despite nice place. Very expensive too. Do not recommend for anybody.

The food was okay, it was way overpriced for the quality. I have eaten Egyptian food before and this was really not that great, especially for the price. The food tasted like it was from a food cart that you can buy off the streets in Cairo. However, it is an experience, the layout of the place is nice, but once you get the food, all your focus changes to what is being served.

The owner and staff is really friendly and they always go beyond our expectations. What can I say more! Just go and try:))

Went on a friday and ordered a course costing 6000 yen per person. It takes about 4 hours for the course to complete, interrupted by two performances of dancing which was the highlight of the evening. You'll get thirsty over those 4 hours, so add an extra 1000-2000 yen for drinks. Mind you, it is more like 30 minutes of eating and 3.5 hours of waiting for the next dish. Some of the dishes are okay, but the main course was an outright struggle to eat. They also forgot the sauce from a few plates at our table. I would've been happy with it if I paid 3-4000yen instead of 8000. The restaurant owner seemed like he didn't really like guests, he would get impatient when asked about the food. He also takes every opportunity to swindle the guests. Paying via credit card will incur an extra 5% charge on your total over what is written on the menu. Asking for a glass of water will cost you 550 yen. There is also apparently a reservation cancellation fee of 3000 yen, I can't imagine how they enforce that. He's simply a dishonest person and runs a dishonest business. The other waiters are generally polite, although a bit unprofessional and forgetful. The restaurant itself is decorated in a very kitsch manner. The tables are wobbly, and the glass topping on them is broken at the corners, rendered safe by wrapping the sharp edges in tape. The best part of the experience is the dancing, so if you are happy to pay about 4000yen for that, it might be worth going. There are just so much better food and nicer people in this country, I don't know how they can stay in business.
