Google map suggested this place to me. I arrived not really counting on luxury service. Prices for rooms from 200k. So it was nice to see spacious rooms with for real hot water, well maintained territory and the soundtrack to all the sound of the waves. The furniture is quite old and the restaurant is not open yet. But the staff will prepare breakfast for you. So for the weekend it's a good place👍🏼

Road to the property was very bad. Lacked proper signage and locals did not know about the property. Had a really time locating it. Rooms were okay. No fooding facility. Had to order from local eatery via the host. Wifi is not available in the room. Only available near the play area. Telkomsel network is also not that great. Only pro is its proximity to the beach. Recommend to skip unless no other property available.

Came only here for the food and sorry but that was not really edible. Jasri doesn't have many possibilities but you could do so much better. The ocean view is spectacular though.

I was shocked at first because the access to the Villa is quite inside the woods, but when I arrived in The Villa, I do feel very happy to find this Villa as the hidden gem. I am so lucky to have a cheap price for a night during low tourist holiday! Eventho maybe the facility and whole building is not maintenance in very perfect way probably because of the pandemic and income issues, but so far I love this place, so calming at night, in the morning so beautiful for the high tide (should wake up in very early for the sunrise to not miss it), in the afternoon bunch of young people are next to the shore to enjoy the sunset! Recommended 4/5

Actually this is a good place to stay overnight, but sadly the pandemic made this place a little bit look like abandoned. But don't worry the owner try their best to give us a good experiences while stay here and i'm very appreciated that.

Clean room and nice service but access from main road is very bad

Love this place as well as the surf right out front. only problem is that it's really hard to book online. I hate using the OTA's, but have to here. I wish the'd redesign their site. Rooms are big and comfortable and food is really good. Views are awesome with the ocean only steps away. Too bad there always seems to be trash floating in the water these days. Great place to stay if you're visiting Karangasem.

Very nice villa! Accessible only via scooter, road quite damaged... Nothing to eat around

We were only going for 4 nights but ended up staying 7 nights at Villa Matanai - Villa 1. Very relaxed place to unwind at. The staff we met and looked after us; Komang, Iluh, Kadek and Madè were fantastic and helpful. Thanks, Madè for the great gardens. The food was fresh, tasty, and we had no complaints at all. There are a few other places to eat, but we never tired of the food on the menu as there was enough choices for us. There is a Surf point Cafe, a short walk along the beach, where the food is also great, run by Madè. Beers always cold. The rooms are spacious and clean. I surf, but you need a decent swell to get a good size wave. It's a chilled vibe and will definately be back. Thanks Vince & staff

Stayed two nights in the 3 bedroom Villa, family with teenage kids. Great atmosphere, location and scenery, right on the beach, but with a luscious garden. The villa came with it's own pool as well as access to the larger complex pool. Small kitchen was included but we only used the fridge as the on-site Restaurant was reasonably priced with a good variety and great quality of food. Villa was two story with an upstairs veranda with fantastic views over the garden to the ocean only 50 meters away. Staff and owner were very hospitable and friendly. Hope to visit again but for a longer period.
