I can say without an exaggeration that today's visit to this museum was my most fulfilling museum visit I've ever had in my life. This place goes beyond expectations, especially with it's super awesome manager Dr Hassan who you usually don't meat gentile, caring and kind people like him. Truly, from the first moment you'll enter the place, he'll welcome you with a coffee and a dessert, then he'll will take you all along the museum with a complete guidance. He's literally a scholar, or a scientist if I can say. He'll take you from ancient history till today, through the amazing collection of coins in the museum. A very fulfilling museum, worth visiting if you're in Jordan. Trust me, you'll have a great experience! 😍

The Jordan Ahli Bank Numismatic Museum excels beyond measure in the outstanding quality of its collection and the friendly knowledgeable care of its manager Dr. Hassan who delights in sharing the knowledge accrued in this reputed institution.  During my visit, he kindly offered Arabic coffee and showed me the museum's research library. The gallery opens at 8:30 am and its located on the second floor. It is free of charge and pictures are allowed. The highlights include a superb collection of Roman Decapolis coins as well as Nabatean and Herodian. The museum is also known for its collection of Umayyad coins some of them struck in Medieval Spain. There are coins here from almost every corner on earth from the Iron Age to the present. This often overlooked museum in Amman is a true gem in the city and a great part has to do with such welcoming atmosphere. It is a must see not only for numismatic lovers but for history aficionados in general.
