“Hahahaha” This was my reaction after I left the restaurant having asked the manager about what type of restaurant they view themselves to be. - “A fine dining restaurant” he said - “Are you sure? You want me to review this restaurant as a fine dining place?” I asked. -“Yes, what we offer here is fine dining” he replied and slammed the door after me. Here, you will get dishes that are worthy to be published on your social media account but are not worthy for your palate. The dishes I tried are always short of something, a flavor that is missing, some lost tanginess. The wagyu sliders that I got came in cold buns, that made me wonder about the boldness one needs to place a wagyu patty inside a cold stale bun. To do such a thing one needs a high disregard for the customer’s knowledge and taste buds. The lamb chops were not well done, last time I checked lamb chops should be well done because they are not beef, even if I am mistaken about this and the chef has a different opinion, we were not asked about the desired doneness. The salad “Passion fruit salad” looked great and elaborate, but the flavors didn’t mix well. The presence of previous of an all five star reviews, sounds fishy, is this even possible? The attitude of our server was nice, but severely lacked a fine dining level. For example I ordered water, he brought water in a bottle for me without a glass. We didn’t have but one paper napkin per person. The atmosphere was nice but too dimly lit that I had trouble appreciating the contents of the plates. The music was tooooo loud for a “fine” dining place and the playlist was a watered down list of lounge-styled pop music covers. The restaurant name is a genius choice, although I assure you that you’d prefer to use a different alibi in case you needed one someday. Their most impressive decorated part was their WC. The chair that we sat on had many stains that are not characteristic of a fine dining place. Portions are too small for the prices listed, and I have gone during their happy hour, but didn’t have a happy time. What a waste of a good evening. We denied to be seated in the large outside area because of some minor maintenance issues, still the attitude I was informed with about that was too firm and unapologetic. This review sounds harsh because of the snotty attitude some of the staff had for a very mediocre place and because they have a very mistaken idea about what fine dining is. If they described themselves as something less than a fine dining place, this review will be less critically toned. My advice is that if you are expecting a fine dining place is: steer clear of this place, but if you are looking for some good photos for your social media then it’s not a bad choice.

I loved the vibe of the place! It’s nice, quite, and cozy! I liked the fact that it was not crowded. The music was nice as well. The food was amazing! We had mushroom ravioli, short ribs, avocado pear salad, and chicken souvlaki! The portions are a bit small (as you can see in the photos) but overall, great experience!

Alibi is my favorite spot for some drinks and appetizers/tapas. I haven’t ordered a main course meal from them before nothing truly caught my eye enough to make me want to order but I’ve had every appetizer and a majority of the cocktail list and they are delicious and consistent . Alibi makes the best Amaretto Sour ever. And the presentation is always beautiful. The music seems a bit loud so choose your seating wisely if you are trying to hold conversation. Great atmosphere even better apps and drinks. Staff is super attentive, professional and cleanly.

We had a fantastic evening at Alibi with service provided by Sanad. Cocktails, appetizers, and dinner were delicious. Prices during happy hour were very reasonable. We'll hope to return.

Yummy food, options are limited though, a bit on the pricy end, but the ambience is calm qnd nice, good music, helpful and friendly staff, great option for a birthday party too!

Feels like a little tiny vacation, one of those times where you find a great restaurant on a trip abroad. Designed beautifully, with references to historic architecture elegantly hinted in the modern interior. Cocktails are delicious, fresh and original, but the basic ones are there too for traditional people. Food is great. Service is spot on, friendly, conversational and attentive. I loved the dumplings and the cheese rolls. The tuna tartar was great too. Ol Fashion and the Caliente were my favorite drinks.

The food, the ambiance, and even the music, if you're visiting Amman or need a drink and a place to de-stress, it is THE PLACE TO. The owners did a great job with the "chic chill tapas" decor and lighting. Obviously, the chef keeps up with the international cuisines because the food was a delicious fusion of spices and recipes. The beef tartare is a MUST. The place is definitely a step up for nightlife in Amman. The owners Laith and Faris were super hospitable, and they even recommended the food and the drinks. They made it feel like having a nice evening in the backyard of your house.

Definitely not what I would call fine dinning. The food was very disappointing, my son took lasagna, was dripping in oil and in eatable, I took the mushroom risotto which was bad, very fat and definitely not what you expect from a risotto, I couldn’t finish the plate, my wife took ravioli’s once again very average flavor and only 4 raviolis… When it comes to the desert, I asked for a chocolate mousse, which they didn’t have (the waiter didn’t know before hand) so we took the volcano cake, I guess it was a sleeping volcano as it was not fondant in the inside like they should, this came with a vanilla ice cream, very watery, definitely not high quality. The cocktail and wine we took was fine. I do not recommend this restaurant, we ended up paying 130JD for a not good dinner that we did not even finish. If you’re looking for fine dinning, look elsewhere !

Described as a fine dining spot in Amman, Alibi focuses on curating aesthetically and creative looking dishes and drinks that most places in Amman lack such. They mix these through a combination of presentation and upholding taste. There were very limited vegan or plant based options. None at all for mains. I had the bramble (non-alcoholic) and avocado pear salad. It’s tasted just ok. Not delicious or “wow” for me to gravitate back. However, despite their status falls flat with their sense of pretentiousness especially their policies that contradicts localities. Their ridiculous “no coins” in a still dependent cash economy. Why price your menu with dishes costing 7.25 or 9.50 for example if “no coins” is not allowed and then not giving the correct amount of change? Serving staff/waiters delivered good service. I ordered the avocado pear salad once but it got taken away without my knowledge. I informed the serving staff about this and they kindly gave me a new plate.

Thank you for giving us an experience our holiday was craving! Good authentic cocktails, very hard to find in a dry country. Much better than the rooftop upstairs which is your more artificial tasting cocktails that flies with the majority... If i'm ever back in Amman I would love to try the food too as the menu looked great - recommend for whatever occasion. Ambience, decor, service, drinks, food (we did have the chocolate fondant and it was amazing) and music.

Then one of the well experienced staff is always there to meet your expectations with theri services and polite attitude. For us our table, the waiter Malek had made sure we enjoy every minute and bite... While visiting Jordan we had an amazing time at one of their events, I think it was a brunch, the music and the crowd was like nothing I have seen before in Jordan! highly recommended.

Place is awesome. We were able to take us without a reservation for a quick drink. Waiter was incredibly nice. He brought some fruit for our toddler while we were having our drinks. Ambience is such an escape from the city. We ordered nearly every signature cocktail and they were great. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great drink, some great grub, and a really classy but chill ambience.

We came for appetizers and drinks. We love it here. During happy hour, it’s always very quiet— things pick up later in the evening. The cocktails are very beautiful and fun, and the food is delicious. My favorite are the ahi tuna tostadas and the curried prawn appetizer. This is one of our favorite spots in Amman.

Alibi is a great happy-hour (or after) destination with a large and varied menu. Quality of the food has been consistently great. One of the few places in Amman that can make a cocktail that tastes the same every time.

Disappointing experience…was really looking forward to this one, however, the dishes are average at best. Lacking flavours/taste or just not very tasty; overly greasy. Paying so much for food you don’t even feel like eating/finishing is absolutely pointless. Some mains are the size of starters, desserts taste cheap, watery, not flavoursome. Cocktails and wines were fine, but absolutely not worth the price tag. On the plus side, nice ambiance, but the music is too loud for a “fine dining restaurant” which this place definitely isn’t, anyway. Overall, I don’t recommend this place, please don’t bother yourself going there

The female manager is rude and does not know how to communicate properly with customers. The waiters on the other hand were very welcoming and helpful.

One of the nicest bar/ restaurants I've been to in Amman. The food was excellent - I highly recommend the goats cheese tart, I will definitely be going back for it. The cocktails were custom made and all very interesting

It says alot about the restaurant’s management when they don’t respect their customers’ time. I had booked for Saturday brunch a week ago, and landed on the waiting list, which is a bit excessive but ay, it is what it is. Fast forward to yesterday evening when I called to check if we had made it through *heaven’s doors*.. the hostess tells me they haven’t confirmed their bookings yet but will get back to me as soon as they do. Today is brunch day. It’s 1:45 pm and still nobody calls to confirm or apologize. This is simply bad management. And disrespectful of people’s time and schedule. You may be the “it” place for Saturday brunch now, but we all know the fad wears off.. you only keep customers by being professional and respectful. But the management chooses to ignore you, thinking if they end up having a last minute cancellation, they could call and you’ll be on stand-by waiting to be allowed in. If you’re busy or got something else going on; no worries! They have many others waiting on their call that can fill in! Blatant, ridiculous disrespect!
