We were delighted to meet Amarjit Singh, a warm host who serves absolutely fresh food. They have finger licking authentic dishes with rich flavors and aroma. We watched a couple of YouTube videos that recommended Surjit Food Plaza and put it on our Amritsar itinerary. And while every cab driver in Amritsar will try to point you to Yellow Chilli (which was average at best), no one will tell you about SFP. We tried the mutton tikka (best I’ve ever eaten!), tandoori chicken (so juicy and flavorful) and tawa chicken (gravy is excellent) and had a fun chat with the owner too. We loved every bit of our SFP experience. They have plans of opening another outlet very soon - next time we’ll try that too! Made a fan for life :)

This is one of the hidden gems of Amritsar. You should come here to taste and savor the best of Amritsar. The fish was light and perfectly balanced. Mutton was prepeared in a spicy gravey. Naan and Roti both were great. You would love this place.

I was recommended this amazing restaurant by a friend. He had told us to visit here for great amritsari fish and non veg food. We tried the mutton tikka and tawa chicken here too and were delighted. It was an amazing experience dining here. The tandoori chicken was soft and juicy. I have never had a better tandoori chicken in delhi. Loved the amritsari fish which was well cooked and so delicious. In main course we enjoyed the tawa chicken which was recommended by the host. All of us had a great meal and we recommend this place to all foodies.

Very humble and polite owner. The food was excellent in quality. I would recommend Fish Fry, Tawa Chicken. We also took Dal Makhani, which was fabulous as well. We tried their Fish Amritsari Fried and Mutton Tikka Special (Dry). The fish had a crunchy layer on the outside and was so tender inside. The Mutton Tikka is an absolute winner - have never had anything like this before ! The owner is extremely humble and also interacted with us :) . We got to know that their original food joint is currently under renovation and they are operating at this temporary outlet, which is a few minutes apart only. A must visit food joint if you visit Amrtisar !

Popular and best food joint for both veg and non veg lovers. We have tried tandoori chicken and tawa chicken. And it was superbly delicious. They don't use artificial colour which is the best and healthy thing. The place is very neat and clean and the host Amarjit Singh ji is also an extremely awesome and simple person. I happened to go to Amritsar for a short trip and went to this place for dinner. We asked for the most famous dishes & were extremely touched with the genuine nature of the owner regarding what to try and what not to. We had the best Tandoori Chicken, Mutton Tikka and Fish fry so far. We went late at night almost when they were to wind up their work and leave but they welcomed and served us till the last second with all their warmth. The owner of this place is really admirable. Lastly to our surprise there's a long list of famous personalities from different walks of life who have come to this place. It was worth it in all senses.

After 4 years, we really looked forward to going to Amritsar and having our favourite Surjit Food. We have been patronising this restaurant for the last 20 years. The restaurant is now moved to Dosandha Singh Road extension, beside Nayyar Hospital and no longer in their previous location. Amarjit, the owner (the son), has truly kept the food at the delicious levels that we remember it to be. Looking forward to their upcoming new restaurant in a couple of months. A must go to, a must try and you will keep coming back.

This is a small shop at Lawrence Road. We had chicken tikka, amritsari fish fry, tawa chicken and butter naan. We really loved the chicken tikka, but the fish fry was slightly overrated. Tawa chicken was average. Overall, it was not a bad experience. You can give it a try.

I have reach 11PM at my hotel. No food available at hotel and I find more restaurant nearby my hotel but No one open at that time then suddenly I call him and he said restaurant is open then I order tawa chicken palaw, chicken Tikka, dal makhni, paneer butter masala. Everything was awesome 👌. Taste was so good of chicken Tikka. When you visit Amristar you should try chicken at this restaurant. At 12 AM I am fully satisfied. Thanks for giving amazing in midnight.

The food was really great. We had Amritsari fish, Tandoori chicken and Butter chicken. Everything tasted really awesome. Tandoori chciken was really soft and moist and full of flavor. Will definitely come back again for some tasty and delicious food.

I went to Surjit Food Plaza first time in 2018 and I haven’t been able to go to any other food joint in Amritsar after that . I am from Delhi and a proper foodie and trust me when I say this .. the food and hospitality you see and experience in Surjit Food Plaza is one of it’s kind .

Best chicken tikka ever had. We have ordered chicken tikka, butter chicken, kadhai paneer and veg Manchurian. Each and every dish was prepared very well and nicely cooked. Veg Manchurian was delicious too. Chicken tikka was very soft, juicy and fresh. Host attended us with a pleasant smile and like a family member.

I tried their tandoori chicken. Service wise I'll give them 5 out of 5 however, taste is little different. Somehow i didn't like it much.

The food was really tasty, especially the mutton tikka and the paneer tikka. We got takeaway. The owner was very courteous and gave good suggestions on what to order. There's some space to sit as well and enough parking around. I would definitely rate this place highly.
