Great location, poor room quality and infrastructure. The hotel is at a fantastic location in city center close and offers close proximity to major hubs like golden temple and famous food shops. The airport is also only 20 minutes away. The staff is very helpful and nice. However the room quality of the hotel is no where near to a 4 star hotel. At best it is 2 star. The rooms are small, washrooms are not that clean, interior design is basic. However the room rent is comparable to 5 stars. Hence rating this low.

Awesome hotel with the best staff, truly exceeding Marriott standards anywhere in the world. We showed up exhausted from an early flight, and the front desk staff gave us a super early check-in at 10:30 am without any expectation or need to do so. Throughout the stay, everyone who works here would check in on us personally, and the room was really comfortable (best value for price we got on our whole India trip). Breakfast was really tasty, easily the best meal we had each day. Will definitely be back here on any future trip to Amritsar, and hope anyone from the hotel reading this passes on our sincere gratitude to the staff.

Pretty decent hotel. Service is good. Cabs/Rick's will charge around 100 Rs to drive you to Golden temple area. Did not personally try the hotels breakfast but I've heard it's decent.

This was probably my best experience in my trip to India of around 45 days. The hotel amenities from start to finish exceeded my expectations. One thing that was unusual for a hotel was the great wi-fi throughout the premises, both speed and reception. The room was well-equipped and cool throughout my stay. But, what made my stay was the staff. Not only were they professional and efficient, but also friendly and full of recommendations and suggestions on all areas whether it be food or sightseeing locations. I really felt at home. In fact, on the morning the restaurant staff thought I was leaving, they even had a small cake with “See you soon” written in chocolate on the plate - a small touch that made a big impression. This place is better than the five star hotel I am in at the moment! Thank you to all the staff!

A great place to stay when you are in Amritsar. Very close to the railway station. Although the entrance is narrow, the hotel is huge with big spacious and clean rooms. The staff are cordial. We even arranged our taxi to Wagah border and it was hassle free. We could not try the food and hence have no comments on the same .

This is the second time I visited the property and this time the experience was horrible. To start with they charged me almost a full day charge for just 3 hours early check-in and to top it all once I paid that amount and checked in my room, the room was way below average and it seemed that no one stayed in that room since long. It was smelly and also the bathroom was not properly cleaned. Their hand towels and bath towels were not up to the standards so we avoided using them. Breakfast was okay and dinner was good. But their service is really poor. I kept calling the receptionist around 10pm but no one picked up so I had to sleep without water as there were no bottles in my room. The next morning again no one picked up so I had to search hotel's number on Google and then finally someone picked my call made from my mobile and then they sent water bottles to my room. At the time of checkout they showed their professionalism again. We asked the guy at reception to send someone to collect our luggage and to our surprise no on came for 40-45 minutes even after reminding them twice. And my worst came true that for the first time in my life I had to carry my luggage bag by myself from the room to the cab and there also the driver helped me but not the staff. I am rating them 1 star as there is no option of 0 star. Their service is absolutely pathetic. I am never going to book Fairfield Amritsar again and I'll suggest you to look for other options.

A nice hotel and value for your money. Well maintained and friendly staff. The buffet breakfast offers a good spread worth the money. If you are a tourist visiting Amritsar then you need to commute for about 20 minutes to reach the Golden temple or for shopping.

I went to Fairfield with my family for a stay in the month of September. The stay was pleasant and the staff was hospitable. Though it took a bit of time for check-In due to insufficient staff at the front office - only 1 person managing the show. The rooms were neat and tidy but not as spacious as expected. Having said, the size of the room went out of our minds as soon as we ordered room service and tasted the food. Next morning was more pleasing with smiling staff waiting to welcome the guests at the breakfast area. The spread and the mix of the breakfast was most appropriate, of all the places I have visited recently. Over friendly staff and hospitality at its best. Overall Rating: Front Desk - 5/10 Room Size - 5/10 Hygiene - 9/10 Food -10/10 Hospitality - 10/10

I would recommend this property to anyone who willing to visit and stay in Amritsar. The staff really take very good care and make sure you enjoy your trip hassle free. Really loved the support and ambience. Keep up the good work. The menu changes everyday and will make you feel special. Surely, we will visit again. Thank you for everything.

4 star hotel with pros and cons! - The room is a bit small but looks very nice and clean, the main issue was the bathroom - the shower door wasn’t properly sealed and water was able to go through, also there was an issue with water pressure. - This hotel provides good laundry service (with a cost). - Our dinner meals from the hotels restaurant were amazing! Especially the chicken butter pizza which was delicious! - Morning buffet is simple Indian food, but good. 4.5/5

The king room we got was big enough. Few things I would like to mention here when we checked in we were told that only on guest request the room will be cleaned but on 23rd when we came back to our room it was cleaned and we didn’t ask for the room cleaning services. When checked with the reception they told us that they’re going to check but no revert back. On 23rd only we asked them to provide us with the heater as it was cold and the person in the reception told us he’s going to confirm and then there was no confirmation from their side. I don’t like the reluctance of the staff.

Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms were clean and neat but little small. Breakfast was good and tasty. Live counter menu were also tasty. We tried veg grilled sandwich, chicken club sandwich and Dal khichdi. Chicken club sandwich and Dal khichdi was excellent. Bathroom shower door had some gap but manageable

Perfect Place to Book your Stay. 1. Golden Temple is 3 KM away from the Hotel and you can get E-Rickshaw easily to reach there. Avoid your own vehicles. 2. Rooms/Washrooms were sanitized and cleaned but small in size. 3. Rooms were equipped with mini fridge, iron and other basic needs. 4. Best part of this Hotel is its in house restaurant KAVA. Both Breakfast and Dinner was delicious and full of mouth watering dishes. 5. Location of this hotel is little inside a gali but Vallet Parking is available. 6. Swimming Pool and Gym is good enough. Don't forget your swimming costumes if you want to enjoy swimming pool.

Property is amazing, very neat and clean a D well maintained. Staff is very courteous and helpfull includes everyone. Rooms are well maintained and hygienic. Enough parking space for vehicles. Food is amazing as well. Few people mention it as expensive for food but trust me it's not if you get such 4 star services. It's reasonably priced. Lastly whatever price you pay it's worth every penny so you cam actually visit without any second thought.

Room 522. The room is full of smoke odour and difficult to be inside the room. Check-in date 11 October 2021. Hotel facility tried doing some spray but no better. Named Hotel like this should ensure such experience is not given to its guests

The room was very small and suffocating. The washrooms exhausts were also not working properly. After every use the room used to stink. The reception lobby was so chilled. During winters as you enter inside the hotel you expect it to be warm and cozy intstead the main door of the hotel was always open and cold waves were coming inside, I don't understand why the gatekeepers were standing there. The food we ordered in the in-room dining was also very bad. We all got sick after having that food in dinner. I'll suggest please don't go for this hotel just in the name of Marriot.

Honestly, this was probably the best place I stayed in India. Very spacious room, bed clean and fresh, everything in the room was immaculate, clean and nicely set. There's literally nothing I can complain about. Staff were very attentive and they were quick to respond. They have good services as well, little coffee shop downstairs and restaurant. Can't complain and definitely coming back here. It's a hotel where you feel very safe and secure. Thank you for making my stay warm and welcoming!

Don't book just in the name of Marriott & Five star property, this is just like any other average Hotel. Had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights but had to checkout after just 1 night due to poor quality service. Rooms are congested & small for a star hotel.Very noisy, heard guests slamming doors, talking loudly even in the middle of the night while doing late check-in. Not soundproof at all, wasn't able to sleep even for 5 minutes for the whole night. Renovation is also going on making it more noisy. Don't waste your money on this hotel. Lousy view of surrounding houses. The property is not worth the money when compared to other star hotels. This property has just Marriott in its name with no values & service.

We had a lovely time at the Fairfield Marriott. The staff were so friendly. Diksha in particular was such a good host greeting us every morning. Very tasty breakfast.

I have booked 4 days stay and converted to just 1 day stay. Spooky rooms without any view and linens, carpets all are dirty. Even meals are not served properly in restaurant and you feel that you are in some lodge. The lizards are also there to welcome you and once highlighted the staff gives you a look which seems that you are staying for free. Not at all worth of the Price they are charging and you can find much better hotels in Amritsar

I loved the stay, we came with our family for two days, enjoyed the stay and definitely the breakfast buffet. Each and every staff is courteous and welcoming. Sweet gesture by house keeping team while cleaning our rooms. Would recommend everyone to stay and enjoy.

Visited Fairfield by Amritsar last month with family as part of our tour to Golden temple and wagah. Rooms are spacious with good amenities. Staff especially at the reception and dining are very helpful and help you with quick checknin and dining options. Food is excellent, spoilt for choices and best in terms of taste and quality. Good ambience. Overall a pleasant experience. Highly recommend stay for those who like the best.

Stayed for the second time after our great experience five years ago when the property was brand new. Understand that Fairfield is budget variant of Marriott, the property has started to feel little run down . Towels & toilet paper were of substantially cheaper quality. In room fridge was non operational and only powder creamer was provided instead of long life or fresh milk . Soundproofing between the rooms was negligible. Location & extremely courteous staff are the plus points for this property.

Stayed here for a night, location is very convenient near the railway station but away from its hustle bustle. We have stayed there for family Holiday, overall facility is very nice. Staff is very good & big thanks to Mr. Akhil he is really good in service and communication. He is very polite and good-looking😃 but there was water leakage in bathroom, but facility team repaired it promptly and last thing please improve area is buffet for breakfast and dinner. Rooms are relatively small for a star hotel. However the hotel is very close to Amritsar Railway station which is convenient. The girl in the restaurant desk is very arrogant and doesn't seem to even have heard of talking politely to guests. Food is decent. The property is fine but totally Not worth the money when compared to other star hotels.

Amazing service. Specially Tarun at the breakfast. Prince was also good. They made sure that we had great breakfast. We where group of 15 with children. They accommodated all our requests and served us with great smile and gesture. Even when poha was not in menu, Tarun arranged for it. Thanks to chef too. Not to mention even Saurabh was great. Taste of break fast also nice. Don’t miss the amazing kulcha! Not to forget! The quality of room, the service by other staffs: room service, house keeping, reception, bell boy, security: all where very Accomodating and courteous! In all great place to stay!

We loved the warm hospitality of the service staff! The front office manager Ujjawal and receptionist Harman was very helpful in getting us settled in. Slight issues with room keys were immediately rectified. Harman in particular was very friendly and assisted us in knowing the vicinity, places to go/ eat. Housekeeping Manager Shikha also went out of her way to make us feel warm and welcomed. Exceptional service from the staff!

Rooms are fine but service is good. I found a staff Ms. Shifa Sheikh at Amritsar property and she was extremely helpful and courteous. I was too late already for an event and wanted to go to salon but got late due to Logistic issues however I asked for a help at reception and without any hesitation she came to my room and went out of the box to help me tie a saree on me though this was not in her KRA. I was amazed by her behaviour and she definitely is a green flag in hospitality. I would like to thank her once again for being kind, helpful, courteous and most importantly performing her duty with complete dedication and sincerity. She is an asset to the property. Thumbs up !

Don’t get fooled by the Marriott name. This is the worst hotel with the most appalling service. The rooms are more basic than a Basic guest house. Front desk staff have zero courtesy and care factor. We cut short our trip by one day and paid for the rest of our stay. I had left my scarf back in the hotel and had to call atleast 20 times to have it tracked down as no one takes accountability to return your calls. I am leaving the country in 4 days and despite constant chasing they have not bothered to courier my scarf. Text messages have been ignored, they keep asking for 200rs for a courier. A QR code has been supplied for payment which doesn’t work. It’s the least they can do to compensate for our disappointing experience but have unfortunately created even more disappointment and frustration for us. As I write this review, I am continuing to chase them and calls continue to be ignored.

Though the hotel claims to be 5 star but the service and ambience are not up to mark. The appearance of the hotel is hardly visible from outside as it is situated in deep. Rooms are not very spacious. Food is good but it needs improvement. Also complimentary breakfast is available and need immediate attention for improvement.

Not a Marriott experience hotel. Rooms are small and cosy. There was a stingy smell in our room and washroom. We checked in pretty late and did not bother changing the room. Air-conditioning was good but there was a ticking sound all night long either from air conditioning or another device. Breakfast was quite average. Location is quite nice but traveling with the car it probably was not the best property.

Great place to stay. Right at the heart of Amritsar and close to the major attractions: Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. It is around 30 minutes of walk and around the same time by rickshaw. How? You may ask... The reason is traffic! The crowds are incredible on the roads. So, walk at your own risk. Wear mask and discard the mask after use. It will be full of soot... The hotel is great. It can get crowded, but the staff are very helpful and the rooms are great.

The best part was their breakfast experience. Ajay was very flexible to accommodate our tastes and make adjustment. Made the whole days warm and welcoming.

Very good experience and recommended to traveller's. The restaurant facility is very good, the spread was amazing and fulfilling. It's a good stop if travelling to this part of the country. I stayed in Amritsar for four days with my family and the staff went above and beyond to help me with the tiniest of requests. The breakfast spread/buffet is absolutely great and the food choices are vast. Please try out the mutton kulacha for dinner/lunch if you can. Cleanliness is A1 and staff is polite. Special shout out to Samya and Annapurna for helping me out with multiple requests - super recommend the property!

One of the best hotels very near to the golden temple. Super service ,polite staff who follow all COVID protocols. The food with the complimentary buffet is excellent with a mix of continental and south indian and Punjabi breakfast options.Room service was excellent and they have an indoor swimming pool.All staff are very friendly .

The room was small and no view. There was noise from the adjoining room mobile ringing and people farting was so loudly heard in our room. Bad smell in Bathroom would linger no exhaust. I have complained to reception and they agreed this was a common complain. They are going to refurbish floor by floor from next month. Good thing was friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant which made our stay quite pleasant.

We reached quite a long before the check-in time. Since the hotel was fully booked, they tried their best in allocating the room. They also helped us in having our breakfast in their lounge areas and ensured all of us are comfortable after the long journey. The location of this place is really good for your Amritsar stay. Not so expensive for the kind of services they offer. Make sure you try it's restaurant when you stay here. Food is really good. Bathroom sizes can be little bigger but it is manageable.

Entrance of the hotel is very narrow and impossible to find for a claimed 4 star hotel, the view you get from pool facing room for this building is literally trash with slum/street market around. The minute you enter they try to extract more money from you citing some T&C buried in their documentation for booking, the hotel can charge extra but they should be transparent and they shouldn't behave like vultures with the aim to deceive and earn money by tricking people into booking and then claiming that it is part of the fine print. Never had such terrible experience in the past with any hotel group, these guys are too clever and would go to any extent to give you a terrible experience to earn a few bucks.

Stayed here for a night with my family. The staff were very courteous and warm. The underground parking lot is a bit tight to get in and out of but can be managed if you are careful. The breakfast spread was huge and food was tasty. But the negative is that the basic room we opted for was very small and this is definitely something that does not feel value for money even though it is a Mariott. Would I recommend it ? Well price to room ratio it is hard to recommend wholeheartedly however this is still one of the better properties to stay at in Amritsar.

My experience at Fairfield by Marriott was amazing. They have the finest rooms with all the amenities and luxury one can expect from a luxury hotel. The breakfast spread was good. Do try their pancakes, waffles and eggs (made to order) in the live kitchen every morning.

The hotel has a good ambience Very close to Railway station though little far from the Golden Temple. Amristar traffic is chaos. The lobby is not too large. Staff helpful. The hotel has good rooms and comfortable a bed. The breakfast is super and service very good. A good place to stay if you okay to travel by uber to central area.
