We had traveled to Amritsar and visited Golden Temple and got late, all eating places were closed, the security here also refused as it was 11 pm already, but then he went inside took permission from inside and called us in. Just imagine were such kind people work how good the place will be 🙂, first this gesture and then the super amazing tasty food made our trip memorable. A big thanks to the whole team.

A very genuine review by a genuine customer. I travel Amritsar very often. Have stayed with Makhan residency. No doubt the restaurant is famous for its fish but unfortunately the hotel is pathetic. We did the bookings for the second time,they confirmed and just before our arrival to Amritsar,they made a fake phone call & said that water has come in our hotel ,ur booking is cancelled. In reality they gave preference to some group and they were in scarcity of rooms so they pretended that the hotel is under construction. Just go and check, u all would come to know whether it is under construction or is it fully booked. Fake commitments,fake staff, no profesional dealing .This hotel would soon shut down if it remains same in its dealing. Maximum people you would see,they would be fighting for the room at the reception. If you don't believe my words then go & experience it on your own.

One of the worst hotels in Amritsar city,poor management,unprofessional staff,worst service staff in the restaurant. My sunglasses worth 17000inr was stolen from the room by the staff and even the reception staff didn't come forward to help. The breakfast was served after many requests at 8:30 AM when the time for the same was confirmed at 8 in the morning. The restaurant was so dirty in the morning as the dinner tables were yet to be cleared and cleaned. Pathetic hotel with worst experience.

The person at reception took my phone and submit the review without my feedback. How unprofessional that was. Landline phone and TV were not working in room. Requested at reception to take out the garbage and take the utensils from room but they didn’t do it.. they didn’t inform about breakfast timing..

Hii, dated 26th January, 2022 ..I am staying in room 307 , and in this hotel here is no room service ... I have order for cup of tea at 18:20 but hotel staff completely refused for tea due to kitchen staff being busy in restaurant for dinner .... it was very bad experience no room service ... ... one more thing would like add .... i have order for veg paneer tikka and waiter serve paneer tikka with small piece of fish in veg order ...... after reporting this issue with police officer (after called 112).... service staff admitted the this mistake ... i asked apology letter for this mistake but owner did not accept this....The owner was angry and abused with me for making such an objection ..... and police officer support to owner for this unethical behavior...... for night unsafe place for me and my family ...... the owner wanted to hit me .....and says to throw his stuff outside hotel.....Hearing all this nonsenses I went to my room... locked from inside ......I didn't know what would happen to me and with my family that night.....it was a dark night and unsafe night in my life ..... this was real experience ..... never recommend to any person or any family to stay in this hotel.... this hotel may be for bachelor but not for family

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Makhan Residency, it was a family trip with a kid. This hotel is a very safe and family oriented hotel. They have a very famous busy restaurant in the building called makhan fish, which also serves alcohol and is perfect for parties or celebration. The food tasted very good. Breakfast was included in our booking and it was very good. They also provide extra beds with charges. Interior of the rooms was very good, air conditioner, tv, bath everything was perfect. It takes about 20 minutes to ride from here to the Golden temple. I forgot my jacket and upon request they couriered it to my house. Thanks Bobby, Sunil, Housekeeping lady and the whole team for making our stay special.

Unfortunately, I can't give a '0' star. This residency has given my parents the worst experience & exploited them in terms finances. The management & staff were completely ignorant to their needs & requirements. Food was hideous. I can't fathom what experiences of other guests would have been. They even did malpractices in terms of providing bill copies of food & stay. I highly recommend that nobody should avail their residency services. Disgusting, Pathetic, Hopeless & Unworthy of customers.

Extremely poor location and horrible experience as a Jain/Veg food eater! Literally only fruits and milk were available as breakfast! Would never recommend property if your are pure veg and coming with family!

Food is no doubt very good. They have great fish curries and keem mutton one must try. Rooms are always very clean.

The stay was gud , we visited Amritsar as a group of 30 members . The stay and food was absolutely fine with a wide spread variety in the buffet. One sad part was that the hotel management needs to mention that the snacks provided in a tray in all the rooms along with the complimentary Tea coffee were priced at 1650 which would max cost not more than 500 . The management needs to understand the fact that all are not frequent travellers and are not aware that it will be charged as they think it's same complimentary as with the tea and coffee packets , a lays packet costing 10 was charged 70 ( unbelievable) , they should post a tag on the tray that it's extra chargeable wherein people won't touch it . This was the only disappointing thing observed, otherwise our stay was pleasant

It's a wonderful place. Staff is very polite. Food is amazing. We were a group of 42. Mandeep along with our travel agent planned our entire trip (Amritsar- Dharamsala-Dalhousie). Mandeep was in constant touch with us since we boarded the train. Since we had to catch an early train, they offered to give us a packed breakfast. Awesome service 👍👍

2 days back we a group of 30 members had come from Lucknow to visit Amritsar. Our stay at hotel was very good .Food cleaning everything was nice. All the staff, especially Mr Sunil, were very cooperative. If any of our belongings used to get lost here and there, they responsibly searched for it and brought it to us. We missed facilities like swimming pool and bath tub If I ever have to visit Amritsar again, I would like to stay at Makhan Residency.

We had a very comfortable 1night stay at this hotel. Right above the famous makhan fish, the location is very convenient and also clean. Yes, it is little away from harmandir sahib but e-rickshaws are easily available outside the hotel. All the staff, especially sunil, were very cooperative. Also, helped us find our missing stuff. Highly recommended!
