The Main temple looks very beautiful exactly like golden temple. There are many temple of various gods inside the tirath campus. The campus looks cleans and have vehicles parking. After entry gate you will encounter cloak room where you can submit your shoes. The campus is big and have various statues of gods. The main temple is situated at the middle of pond and have statues of Radha Krishna. There is no entry fee or something and it is very near to the railway station. My experience was good to visit the Durgiana Tirath ❤️

Old hindu temple in Amritsar which replicates the architecture of Golden temple. Temple is there in the center of a water body. The water was very clean surrounding to the temple. There were plenty of fishes when we visited. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the main temple and the way passing through the pond. This temple must be visited if you are in Amritsar.

Beautiful place having 8 different dedicated temples for Hindu Gods/Goddess. Huge place and architecture for the main Durga temple is same as Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara. A lot of walking involved and it has sweet shop and charitable hospital as well in its premises.

This is one of the historical shrines for Sikhs. It's a must visit for people coming to Punjab. The whole area has recently been renovated and very well maintained. You'll find a lot of shops just outside the entrance to try authentic food, punjabi juttis and phulkari etc. Its better to visit in Winters since its difficult to walk in the heat in Summers

Good place to visit and pray. It is almost a replica of the Golden Temple but not maintained well. Perhaps most of the visitors are not aware of this beautiful shrine. There were 3/4 visitors during my visit whereas a few times back I had to stand in line more than an hour to reach the main temple of the Golden Temple. I came to know about this Holi shrine only during Google search at the last moment of my Amritsar tour. Once someone is in Amritsar must visit this place.

Our visit to Durgiana Temple on a Sunday was a spiritually enriching experience. We had the privilege of a serene darshan, as the temple was blissfully uncrowded, allowing for a peaceful and meaningful visit with the family. The tranquility added to the overall atmosphere, making it a memorable and deeply spiritual outing. Exploring the complex, we also had the opportunity to visit the oldest Hanuman Temple, adding a layer of historical significance to our visit. Learning about the rich history of Durgiana Temple, often referred to as the "Silver Temple" due to its silver doors, deepened our appreciation for its cultural importance. The architectural beauty and the religious harmony within the complex make it a must-visit destination for those seeking a blend of history, spirituality, and tranquility.

My visit to Durgiana Temple in Amritsar on Diwali evening was truly magical. The sparkle of the firecrackers illuminated the temple, creating a festive atmosphere. As the evening descended, the temple's beauty was heightened, with its reflection shimmering on the water. The peaceful and serene environment made the experience truly special. The well-maintained surroundings and the presence of other temples within the complex added to the overall charm, making it a perfect blend of spirituality and cultural richness.

Excellent Feeling of Visiting Durgiana Temple. This temple is 2 KM away from the Golden Temple In Amritsar. This Temple looks similar to Golden Temple only but it has Shri Krisha Idol. There are many temples around this Durgiana Temple. Shitala Mata Temple and Bada Hanuman Temple. It is said that during Ashwamedh Yagya Lav and Kush Tide Hanuman ji here at this place. This temple has a very big amphitheatre. The fountain in the Lake and Sound and light projection in Amphetamine is the unique thing to watch here. I Recommend that everyone should Visit this temple during the Amritsar trip in evening time only.

Shri Durgiana Mandir (Gurmukhi: ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦੁਰਗਿਆਨਾ ਮੰਦਿਰ) (Devnagari: श्री दुर्गियाना मंदिर), is a Hindu temple situated in the city of Amritsar in Punjab, India.[1] Though a Hindu temple, its architecture is similar to the Sikh Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple).[2] This temple derives its name from the Goddess Durga, the chief Goddess who is worshipped here. Murtis of Lakshmi and Vishnu are also located and worshipped in the temple.[3] Although it is believed that Durgiana Mandir was built in 1921, the temple existed before it was rebuilt in 1921.[citation needed] It is confirmed by record in Amritsar District Gazetteer of 1893, which talks about Durgiana Sarovar and "Devi dwara" surrounding it which was thronged by Hindu pilgrims.[citation needed] The Sri Durgiana temple is a very important temple for Hindus. In the courtyard of the temple is a tree where Lava and Kusha bound Hanuman after the captured challenge horse of the Ashvamedha yajna. Iksvaku, the grandson of sun-god, performed a number of yagyas on this land. The original temple was built in 16th century.[4][unreliable source?] The architecture of Sri Durgiana Temple is similar to Shri Harmandir Sahib. It was built in 1921 by Guru Harsai Mal Kapoor in the architectural style of the Sikh Shri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) .[1] Harsai Mal was a descendant of Prithi Chand and hence Guru Ram Das.The grandchildren of Harsai Mal Kapoor is currently living in amritsar and one of caretakers of the idol of Harsai mal Kapoor. Existence of the Talab is also mentioned in 1868 Municipal committee, Amritsar documents.[5] John Campbell Oman who was Professor of natural science in The Government College, Lahore[6] mentioned about durgiana in his book where he found some mystics practicing yoga.[7] Durgiana Mandir is recorded in Amritsar District Gazetteer of 1893 which talks about Durgiana Sarovar and "Devi dwara" surrounding it which was thronged by Hindu pilgrims.[8] Even though Amritsar is not declared a Holy city, restrictions are in force prohibiting sale of tobacco, liquor and meat within a radius of 200 metres (660 ft) around this temple and the Shri Harmandir Sahib (Sikh Golden Temple).[9] The temple is situated near the Hathi gate in Amritsar. It is very close to the Amritsar railway station, and is about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) from the bus station. The temple is built in the middle of a sacred lake, which measures 160 metres (520 ft) × 130 metres (430 ft). Its dome and canopies are similar to that of the Golden temple of Sikh religion, also located in Amritsar. A bridge provides the approach to the temple.[10] The dome of the temple is gilded. Marble is used extensively in the temple's features.[11] The dome is illuminated with colourful lights. The temple is sometimes called Silver temple because of its large exquisitely designed silver doors.[1] It has a rich collection of Hindu scriptures.[11] The temple complex also has some historic subsidiary temples such as Seetla Mata and Bara Hanuman.[1] Major Hindu festivals celebrated in the temple are Dussehra, Janmashtami, Rama Navami, and Diwali.[1] A Sāwan festival is also celebrated in Durgiana Mandir in the Holy Shravan month of Hindu Calendar where newlywed couples gather at temple to worship Radha Krishna. Women adorn themselves with flower jewellery and worship at temple along with their husbands.[12] Another festival celebrated in Durgiana temple complex is the famous 'Langur Mela' during 10 days of Navratri and Dussehra. Pilgrims in large numbers throng to the Bada Hanuman temple, with their children dressed as Langur to offer prayers in this temple, situated in the Durgiana temple complex.[13]

Loved this place for its natural beauty it's just like a replica of a golden temple with lots of peace from the crowd. The Durgiana Temple, also known as the Lakshmi Narayan Temple, in Amritsar is a captivating religious site with a rich history. Built in the 16th century, it echoes architectural styles reminiscent of the Golden Temple. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, and its intricate carvings and vibrant paintings add to its aesthetic appeal. Throughout its history, the Durgiana Temple has undergone renovations, but it still retains its cultural and spiritual significance. The serene surroundings and the holy pond contribute to the peaceful ambiance. Visitors can explore the temple complex, which includes shrines dedicated to various deities. While not as globally renowned as the Golden Temple, the Durgiana Temple offers a quieter, reflective experience and provides insight into Amritsar's diverse religious landscape. It serves as an important cultural and religious hub, attracting devotees and tourists alike. So, Do visit the famous attraction of Amritsar India 🥰💕
