Love this laser shooting game. We used lighting lane to get in, wait was over 65 minutes without it. Love this ride, my top favorite!

This is a great ride for all ages. Its fun to ride through and shoot all the targets while competing for the highest points. The easiest way to get the high points is to aim for the targets shaped like triangles or rhombuses.

You can never go wrong with Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters at any age! You also get to move your car around so that's always fun especially when you wanna mess with your side passenger. There was barely anyone in line when we got there so we were able to walk right into the car. FYI, you can't bring drinks inside so finish it first or throw it away. There also some hidden targets you have to hits to get 100,000 points if you're looking to get the score of 999,999. There tutorial videos you can watch if you're looking for that. The ride broke down on us twice during the ride so we were able to shoot the laser around.

What a great ride for all ages. You are helping Buzz Lightyear defeat the evil Zurg and his cronies. This is a two person ride and each passenger is given a gun. As you move through the ride you are tasked with shooting (lazers) at the enemy targets. Your pod keeps seperate score for each passenger and you have the ability to turn your pod different directions using a joystick in the middle of the pod. At the end of the ride you have the option to have an individual picture emailed to you. If you can also check your level ranking compared to everyone else.

This is still one of my favorite rides in the park. My kids are getting older now so the competition is a lot more fun now that they actually hit targets. They still haven't beat me though. Definitely a great ride for everyone to enjoy no matter the age. There are hidden targets in the dead center of Zurgs chest worth a LOT of points. You can barely see them. Also red targets on the ceiling in the dark hallway. Good luck.

    A fun ride where it’s a video game/movie ride.

This is one of our favorite rides. It has a story, it moves, and you get to fire a laser gun to hit targets and defeat Zurg. The car keeps your score and you can compete against yourself, seatmate, and the others who have gone to infinity and beyond before you. What more could you ask for?

Fun and interactive ride but j wouldn't wait more than 30min or so to do it. Interactive 'blaster' game that's 2 person based on Buzz from Toy Story. Line moves fairly quickly and there is a photo available via email at the end. Photo is fairly grainy but it is free.

We took our grandkids (their 1st time at these parks), and we had so much fun. There is nothing better than seeing a child's face light up at Disneyland/California. I will never forget the smiles and giggles

YEEHAW! I just love this ride despite the fact that the blasters don't always light up when you hit a target. Hey Disney...can you maybe fix that? I finally paid attention to the signs and found out that the diamond shapes grant you the highest scores followed by triangle, square, and circle. Since my husband's controller was not behaving, I finally beat him with 147,000 points! 😆 But people...don't wait long for this ride. Go after the fireworks, when it is practically empty and you can just run in and out repeatedly to work on your skilz. It's much more fun that way. I finally outscored my kids, too!!! HaHA!!

Buzz lightyear Astro blasters is by far the best shooting ride at both Disney parks in California. It’s a fun ride for the kids and family that lets the competition start. The theming is spot on, I love how well it matches with the land’s aesthetic. I’m also a fan of how there’s a Buzz lightyear animatronic in the line of the ride. It really allows kids and parents to get the opportunity of a lifetime and get the sickest pic with the most notable space ranger of them all. Buzz lightyear!!

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in Disneyland is very good. I love helping Buzz defeat Emperor Zurg and protect our future! The ride in Disneyland is FAR better than Walt Disney World. Everything in DL about it is better. It's just a fun frolicky good time!!!!

My kids and I had a wonderful time at Astro Blaster in Disneyland Hollywood. It was a fun and interactive ride where we got to shoot lasers at the evil Zurg and his minions. The ride was colorful and lively, with Buzz Lightyear cheering us on. We loved competing with each other to see who could get the highest score. The ride was also very smooth and comfortable, and the wait time was not too long. Astro Blaster is a great ride for families who love Toy Story and video games. It is a unique and enjoyable experience that we would definitely do again. It was one of the highlights of our Disneyland trip

    what a great ride

Nice attraction, especially for the kids. You ride in a cart blasting away at targets that lights up if you aim right at it. It was fun but too short for a ride. It's not worth it if there's a long line.

Fun ride, if you've been to the WDW version, this is basically the same thing except the guns are attached to the vehicle by longer ropes allowing you to aim more freely and even behind you. Don't forget to spin your vehicle!

My grandsons love this ride. It's so much fun for the younger group. It seems to break down frequently but you can still shoot with your blaster so we do not mind

A fun interactive experience for fans of the Toys Movie. Can be a bit of a wait, but lots to see while in line.

This ride is very slow and main attraction is just the guns which you need to use to target specific areas on the characters.. at the end you will get to see how many points you made by correctly targeting the characters. I feel this ride is not that great for either adults or kids.

The ride itself was awesome and very fun. Very cool interactive shooter with lots of little and interesting bits of Buzz Lightyear. Although if you are a competitive person, the guns to not accurately display the score always as it seems the gun I got may have been broken or defunct. The only other problem I had was the line did not seem accurate to the standby time and it seems to keep growing, and had to come back as the first attempt it broke down before we got in. Again worth the wait although my experience definitely had some issues.

You can turn the space ship in every direction to blast the target. I was even able to blast the people behind us turning in a complete circle. There is two blasters and they keep score so your kids will be able to enjoy a little competition with each other. Fun, colorful ride for all ages

This ride is so fun! Make sure to hit the target in the middle (where the black dot is). The lazer dot is a tad difficult to see so just need to stay focused. Yoi can book this with lightening lane past. Good luck with getting the high scores! To infinity and beyond

Man was this ride a disappointment. I rememebr this being a top 3 ride when I was in Highschool. The guns were accurate, it was fun to compete, and overall, it was just.....fun. Now, my gun was terrible and wouldn't shoot anything. It took all the fun out of the ride. I almost just gave up and rode through the ride without shooting but my competitiveness got the better of me. Toy Story Midway Mania is by far a better ride now and if you're looking for a fun shooter ride for kids, go check it out in California Adventure

This ride offers a greater-than-average level of interaction along with the fun story and visuals. Riders have limited control over their car as well as a "blaster" to shoot at the baddies arcade-style. Great fun.

  • 5/5 Josue B. 1 year ago on Google
Really fun for small kids even toddlers. you can control the spin of your ride vehicle and of course you get to shoot a blaster the whole time. If you are trying to be competitive and want to really go for high score, just be warned the blaster targeting is pretty inaccurate. Most of the times kids have no idea what they're shooting at though so most kids won't care. Definitely get a lightning pass for this, the line can get backed up and a good part of the line is outside so you can get stuck out in the heat.

Not sure if I was having a bad day or laser not working but man my score sucked lol. Ride moves fast and wait times are not bad early in morning or late at night.

I am a strong adherent to the Toy Story 2 fabdom. This is a great adaptation of a ride. I believe that just about every time I've ridden the ride has been temporarily stopped. This allows you to still keep shooting for way more points.

Both of our kids (5yo girl & 2yo boy) absolutely loved this ride and they were both able to participate. It was fun for three parents too

Great ride for kids. Spin your car and shoot the targete for points, compete with family and friends. The photo results and scoreboard were broken when we visited. Always a blast, always busy. Curve to the right on exit to avoid the shop.

One of the best rides at Disney fun for all ages. Me and my partner rode this ride 2 times, once in the morning where the line was long and the second time during the parade. The actual ride was a good volume and was very very fun it's competitive for all ages.

Love this ride my niece had fun she loves toy story so it was cute to see how happy she was too see Buzz lightyear 🤗 Its fun for the kiddos to aim and shoot the laser gun at the objects.

most rides at Disney are like this. the 🔫 was fun for the grandson. The lines are ridiculously long. It's so crowded and almost no one wearing masks 😐.

  • 5/5 Kyle K. 1 year ago on Google
This was a great laser blasting game! I had a blast competing with the family. I got lucky the ride paused a couple of times with me in front of a target so I could rack up my score. Everyone loved it, and is highly recommend it.

This is a really fun ride that takes you right into the Toy Story world! It is interactive in that you get to shoot targets during the ride and score points - you can make it a fun game and compete with whoever you ride with to get the highest score. During my ride it did pause/stop a few times however it started right back up relatively quickly.

Fantastic family ride, its a slow speed car ride with cars for two. Each rider has a lazer gun and has to assist Buzz taking out the evil Emperor Zurg.. Brilliant.
