The most beautifully restored Victorian home I have ever seen! Docents wearing period clothing and very tastefully decorated for Christmas. Enjoyed learning about the rich agricultural history of Anaheim started by German immigrants who were told by the Spaniards that nothing would grow in the cactus flatlands. Wonderful experience!

Interesting history and architecture. Friendly docents and ran into descendents of former owners. Very fun experience.

I didn't explore anything more than this historic tree. It was brought from Australia and planted in the late 1800s. It was also the model for the treehouse in Disneyland.

My husband and I rode our ebikes and stopped by on the way to the store. We loved the 'back in the day' vibes we got by walking through here. There's definitely a lot of story behind this place. It's very beautiful and peaceful. 🌳🏘

Every time I visit Anaheim I always ask my honey to stop by to see this beautiful Fig tree is amazing to see such a huge historical tree planted right in the middle of the city of Anaheim and that it was the inspiracion for Walt Disney in 1962 to build the tree house now Tarzan's home in Disneyland .

Open house 1st Saturday of the month from 9am-12pm. Took our 3 small children here for their open house and the docents were all so kind and welcoming. There was a beautiful little open area in the back for the kids to run around. They even offer free heirloom seeds from their seed collection in the carrage house. Very fun little 1hr activity for the family. We even learned Walt Disney modeled the Swiss family Robinson and Tarzan tree off of the giant fig tree in the front.

It's interesting to me because of the history behind it. Some refurbishment was done recently and the chain link fence was removed. You can walk through the grounds and there are informative plaques. There's a gigantic a beautiful old tree but there's no plaque telling you anything about it. There is an open house on the 1st Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon but I've never had the time to make it then. They tour you through the old Gothic Woelke-Stoffel house, which some people like to think is haunted. That may be so, but I walk by the house after midnight sometimes on my way home from work and I don't see anything like that about it. I'd like to adopt a bunch of cats and the move-in and rent the joint.

Doc said walk, get on your feet. I said "look Doc, there's a bench in the shade!" He didn't hear me, he wasn't there.

Frugally Flourishing’s Visit = June 2023 During your visit to the Greater LA Area, Anaheim Founders’ Park in Anaheim, California is a small park with a couple of historic houses to see and a blackberry bush There is no cost for entry, and if you are not going for the open house (hosted every first Saturday of the month), it is reasonable to spend at least a half an hour to an hour here

its might be haunted , one friend of mine saw a women walking by sidewalk of the house wearing a 1920's nurse outfit around 2am , i told him he saw an appirition or ghost , you dont see a nurse in those style of uniforms anymore and weirdly let alone walking in the middle of the night .

The lights were just as beautiful as the pictures. It was a Tuesday night, but it didn't stop the crowd from enjoying the scenery. I also got to witness a couple taking their wedding photos there. What bugged me was security...

Hidden gem of history, and beautiful grounds. Unfortunately the place could use a fresh coat of paint, and there is no parking lot gate and you can tell people have been doing doughnuts ruining the parking lot.

Spectacular Victorian and original Mother Colony house, not to mention a gigantic tree from the 1870s.

The fig tree is worth the detour off Lincoln Ave. The base of the roots stand about 6 feet high. The site was closed when I stopped by, and I intend to return when tours resume.

Cute, clean, historical, educational... little farm of one of the original settlers of Anaheim...southern California...Orange county...all the Valencia orange groves So Cal is famous for!!! It's nice to see a time & place so loved it's kept frozen in time!! The tree out front (in my opinion) is one of wonders of nature that is truly amazing!! It made me feel so small like the ocean!! Thank you to all those who work hard to keep this little piece of history & marvel of nature for all those to visit, respect & appreciate it for many years past & hopefully for many more years in the future!!
