I brought my 7 year old daughter to the ER yesterday in Anaheim. My daughter has epilepsy and had a very scary episode at school. She was experiencing extreme dizziness, double vision, her eyes wouldn’t focus and she kept falling asleep. I was scared and she was so miserable. After waiting for four hours we were taken back to triage and sat in a hall with other patients. The triage doctor asked a few questions and seemed to rush through every single one. When I told him she kept falling asleep he said “well she seems awake now” and completely disregarded everything else I said. He barely listened and could not have cared less about her. The only tests he ordered were a urine test and a Covid test. My daughter was suffering neurological symptoms and he ordered those two tests??? As a mom of a child with a serious medical needs to be completely disregarded and pushed aside was unacceptable. I left before they did the tests in tears and outraged! I cannot fathom how a hospital can lack genuine care for a child. I am left speechless but the terrible experience we ensured yesterday and will never bring my child back there again.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I am pregnant, high risk, and I could not breathe. I came into the emergency room, just to be told that my breathing was fine according to their machine.....even though I clearly was out of breath and holding my chest and was forced to sit in the waiting room for over an hour. I understand there are other people there but I would think that children and people who cannot breathe would be priority. I went to the front to ask them if they had a wait time and they IMMEDIATELY gave me an attitude. They told me that people have been waiting for two hours and that I was not a high priority. And I said I understand but is there anyway that you can give me an estimate (which most places have) ? I was told no, they repeated that I am not a high priority And they can't give me an estimate, that people have been waiting for longer than I have and that it looks like I might be close to seeing the doctor but they don't have any beds. All that I needed to know was the wait time or an estimate so that I could figure out whether I needed to go to another emergency room or not. I didn't need to know that other people have been waiting longer than me and I certainly didn't need to be told I was not a priority. With that being said, I ended up going to another emergency room and was in and out of there within an hour and a half. As soon as I told them that I was pregnant, having trouble breathing and have been experiencing more heart palpitations than normal, they immediately brought me to the back and went to work. I am so grateful for the other place I ended up going to and will never step foot inside of a Kaiser again. I have had Kaiser for a long time and I've always tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but those two nurses ruined it for me. Idk their names but if I find out, I will update. They were rude to both me and my husband.

My son was having a severe allergic reaction and was rushed to the Kaiser Emergency Room in Anaheim. By the time he walked into the ER his face was completely swollen, he couldn’t see - eyes swelled shut, and he was drooling because his throat was closing. He walked into the ER, told the two ladies dressed in scrubs behind the check-in counter, that he COULDN’T BREATHE, one of the ladies then instructed him to go outside and wait. HE WAS INSTRUCTED DURING ANAPHYLACTIC ATTACK TO GO WAIT OUTSIDE. He is a very compliant person, so he went outside. I insisted his girlfriend go back inside the ER and demand he get help, she told the ladies again behind the check-in counter he needed help and couldn’t breathe. They finally came out, brought him in, admitted him and immediately gave him an epipen. The incompetence that occurred that night should have NEVER HAPPENED. They should’ve been able to take one look at him and KNOW he needed help AND once he said I CAN’T BREATHE they should have given him immediate assistance. Extremely disappointed in Kaiser and fear for the safety of anyone choosing this ER as an option. I took a picture of his severely swollen face as he sat outside on the sidewalk as instructed ..... THIS is the face they looked at, this is what they saw when they instructed my son to go wait outside.

The worse place to take your kids to. We've been waiting for 2 hours to be called and my kids is having a severe pain. Very bad staff, not friendly at all, like you are going to jail department. They wait for the death of the patient until they admit him, they should better have a funeral room at the ER entrance

Worst ER I ever been. It's full of careless staff with extremely bad attitude. I'm in the ER seating area waiting and I see another patient is in extremely bad pain which any minutes she'll going to pass out when I went to call the nurses to come and check on her they are telling me we don't have any nurses available and you are not a Dr, really? What happened to humanity and just move from your chair and look after a very sick person. Isn't call the "Emergency " 😠 Kaiser seriously need to do something about her staff and how they are handling the patients. VEARY VEARY DISAPPOINTED

Very good service but the building out side needs a good cleaning. The bushes are full of spider webs, so what if kids that play around there get bitten by a spider.

ER outside area dirty. Old bandages and pill packaging on ground. You will be waiting outside on uncomfortable chairs and stone benches and they could make your pain worse. As the day heated up, you could smell the wafting scent of human urine. Security guard keeps taking off his mask or wearing it below his nose. Security guard keeps getting in patience area, almost like he is trying to over hear people, creepy. Original nurse that check me in had a very heavy accent and was difficult to understand. ER is severely understaffed. Waits can be hours. Nurses do not seem to check up on people once they check in.

Jaqueline the security guard was very rude, had to speak to the head of security who luckily has courtesy and common sense! Came here so my father could have Brain surgery, We checked in at 6am and stayed in the lobby all day until he got out of surgery around 5pm. When it was time to check in and see my father Jaqueline came over and was forcing us to go downstairs due to “covid” policy…take into account the 1st floor is flooded with people waiting for their medication and the fact that the screen that updates patients surgery status is on the 2nd floor. On top of that there is no sign that states we cant sit on the second floor, this overall didn’t make sense and came off as a personal attack. It’s unfortunate people have to deal with things like this on top of worrying for their loved ones who are having surgery. We don’t sit for hours on these uncomfortable chairs by choice, we do it for our loved ones. The Doctors and Nurses here are TOP NOTCH and they saved my fathers life as far as im concerned, it’s unfortunate that the unprofessionalism of other individuals and lack of heart and common sense brings the overall experience of this establishment down.

Fiance is in labor, during contractions Nurse Havah was pushing her stomach and her hand was immediately removed by my fiance because she was in in pain. Nurse havah proceeded to talk down to my fiance telling her not to touch her like she was a child. I immediately removed her from care. If your in the medical field you need to be able to deal with a little hand pushing during a contraction and not show how angry you get about it. This is not about you it's about the patient who is in immense pain. To anyone who get nurse Havah, don't touch her or you'll here about it, you will immediately know what I'm talking about the nomenclature she starts demanding things

I went and drove after work to urgent care and ask them if I can get an MRI because of my back pain on 10. They recommended blood work. Before they sent me to E.R. and the doctor told me that if they asked me about blood work. To tell them yes, they already started the basic. I told them that and they were telling me that I did not get it done. I was telling him, Yes they did. On top of that, I even told him what the viles look likes(4 big viles and 2 smaller viles). He insisted and said " No, they did not. They ended up sucking out more blood from me. The doctor @ E.R., while I was explaining to her from the beginning. Seem to me, She doesn't want to listen to what I was explaining to her. She's pointing it towards the Burrito and for her she, seems to me she just solve my problem. When I check the E.R. review, I was devastated. It tells on Google review what this E.R. all about. They just want to put their time and wait for their shift to end. I should have checked Google reviews first. Today, they found out different issue. How would you come back to that E.R.? Is this the only E.R. around my area???

Would like to thank your check in staff at this location for dealing with a difficult and belligerent elderly lady and this was because they changed the location of where she was supposed to get her flu shot 🤦‍♀️ I witnessed this whole situation and your staff handled the situation very well even when being yelled at the whole time by this lady. Then when I was walking over to the area I needed to go to in a different building I saw the same lady doing the same thing to another one of your staff members at the flu shot area so that is when I notified a security officer as to what was going and he went over there and handled the situation. All in all your stuff did a great job dealing with this lady.

My grandma passed away here during COVID’s peak, some staff were friendly but someone stole her earrings(she had them on when she went in) my grandpa tried getting them and they said there weren’t any and basically disregarded that they were gone and no one knew where it was at. If you take a loved one here just make sure to take any valuable items off of them cause someone will steal it and they won’t investigate. Only giving a 3* because I know there are some great people that worked with her.

I had the BEST Team while I was in the hospital. My nurses & Drs. Took care of me like I was family. Never have I had such caring & professional group of people caring for me. I was very impressed by the way they would listen to all my concerns & address them in a timely manner. Also would explain what was going on and what was to come. They kept the floor quiet & clean at all times. The Drs. We’re just as impressive with their knowledge & plan of health care. Thanks to all who helped me through my time of need. You all could use a bonus. Also what to thank the cleaning crew for keeping my room neat & clean. Christopher

No one wants to be in a hospital, but since I had no choice, I can not say enough good things about my care while I was there! The Doctor's & nurses were phenomenal with their care and attentiveness! It was because of all of them that I made it through my injury and I am recovering so well! I am blessed. Thank you!

First time mom, and I feel truly blessed that Kaiser Anaheim has such amazing midwives. They helped me through my very long labor with knowledge and compassion. The nurses and staff worked so well together and helped me through a new experience. The staff really was so beyond amazing, everyone from Midwives, nurses, everyone we encountered on staff made my experience the best it could have possibly been. From start to finish I only have great things to say about Kaiser Anaheim.

I was in the ICU at KP Anaheim Hospital from Oct 10-13, 2023. I had COVID+pneumonia+diabetes+old age. I got superb, attentive, expert treatment from all the doctors and nurses. I am so grateful.

The staff that received me mocked me and my birth team(husband and doula) They made fun of my pain coping techniques. I arrived at 4 cm and They told me I could not be admitted unless I agreed to have the epidural. They said if I didn’t get epidural I’d have to go home and come back when I was 8-9 centimeters. They made fun of me for moaning in pain. They said we have a singer and announced it to everyone who came in. They told me that it was a silly ticktock video to use pressure points for pain relief. They threatened that if I did not stop screaming the anesthesiologist wouldn’t give me the epidural. The anesthesiologist was not worried about my screaming at all he said it’s ok and told me to just hold as still as posible. It was so traumatic to feel like my nurse and midwife could not take me seriously or respect me. I felt so unsafe. I felt forced to take medication I did not want to take. I told staff my IV hurt and they ignored me until my doula forced them to look at my hand that now had a golf ball sized ball of fluid. They kept ignoring my doula who is also a midwife and mocked her saying she wasn’t a real midwife. I went in thinking I was in good hands and regretted it immediately. I was afraid to ask questions because of the hostile environment they created. I did not feel like the nurse and midwife had my best interest in mind. After the midwife and nurse switched shifts with a new midwife and nurse they were completely different. They explained everything and asked if I had questions. They did not make fun of or mock me in anyway. But at this point I was so traumatized that I couldn’t trust the staff anymore. These two women should not represent Kaiser they have made me want to change insurance and never step foot in a Kaiser facility again.

3 stars for the stuff and how fast they work, but unfortunately the ER is not hygienist at all in my room I had to see blood dots on the floor and it seems no one cleaned that floor since a year or so. And the toilet is also not clean, other than that the stuff was really great, but at the pharmacy there was a rude nurse there for no reason she can't understand that people are sick picking up their medicine, she acted like an a"""hole, i wont say her name but if i met her again and she did the same attitude ill be sharing her name. Thanks

Kaiser Permanente Anaheim thinks it's ok to release patients 48 hours after Severe Sepsis. This is a mortuary, not a hospital. Here at Kaiser Permanente Anaheim, they're more worried about your insurance premiums than your actual health. All Kaiser doctors and nurses moonlight as insurance agents on behalf of Kaiser insurance. They make medical decisions for you based on Kaiser's potential costs for keeping you in the hospital, not actual scientific evidence. Here's the actual science: Sepsis, which turns into Septic Shock, is an extremely dangerous blood infection that spreads rapidly to your organs and can ultimately cause death. Any real doctor would not think of releasing a patient 48 hours after almost dying with oral antibiotics (you need a direct antibiotic IV for weeks to kick this). Despite going to medical school, Kaiser doctors knowingly choose to ignore basic medical evidence and make decisions with dollar signs in their eyes. I've never seen so many rude, irrational, contradictory, and incompetent medical professionals all in one place in my life. Get yourself together Kaiser Anaheim and stop hurting patients!

The care I received at Kaiser Permanente Kramer hospital was all around excellent. Nurses, Doctors and all the staff could not have been more caring and helpful. I have had Kaiser for the past 49 years, always had excellent care.

My 15 year old daughter had a seizure, and during the blood withdrawal procedure the employees wouldn't stop harassing her. They kept pulling her arm and would not stop even when my daughter said her IV arm was in immense pain. If I could rate this hospital 0 stars I honestly would, do not go here they will abuse your children.

Very nice facility, however I had an appointment with an orthopedic nurse practitioner and it is very spread out and not enough handicap parking places near building 1. I had to walk a lot farther, both i side & out, than I was hoping for due to my knee injury. No help was offered. The nurse practitioner was very kind and knowledgeable and helpful with my issues.

This is my 4th trip to the anaheim ER this month and every time is worst!! We have been waiting for a room for 5 hours with my 80 year old mom, short of breath, tired and lethargic. The nurses and staff are nice they are working 200% why don't you Kaiser? Do better for your parents and staff! We sure pay a lot of money to have a third world country service! Even the LA country hospital does better than you! I know because I used to work there! This is depressing and degrading for any patient! Children in the cold crying and old people in so much pain waiting for hours! This is not acceptable on every level! Kaiser

I had sugery on Sept 18 and was admitted to the hospital for 9 days. Everyone is so friendly and all the nurses especially Stephanie M and Monica who work on the 6th floor are amazing. They would constantly come in and check on me to see how I am doing. They definitely lifted my spirits while I was hospitalized. Thank you Kaiser for taking such great care of me during my hospital stay

My son went in the ER at 2 p.m for his busted lips due to baseball and it took 5 hours for him to get in. It is so ridiculous how long the wait and its not even that packed. Serioulsy counted and there are literally 9 patients and no patient coming in with ambulance cuz i know thats priority. They called my son in and he is gonna need stitches and now they are saying we have to wait for a specialist. Its been 2 hours and still waiting for a specialist. This is not a place to go to for emergency cuz you have to be dying for them to attend to you. Everytime i ask how much longer the nurses in the front just say we are not sure, instead of finding out more information. Again this is not a place to go too for emergency. Youll be suffering.

Med/surg I was visiting my uncle with his wife when visit were over at 8:30pm his nurse let us stay until 9:30pm but charge nurse Yesenia decided to go in and tell us visiting hours are over start saying your good bye and you can leave rudely. When I had asked her a question she ignored me, Charge RN Yesenia in Med-Surg if you don’t like the field your in with passion you shouldn’t be miserable, her attitude was very unprofessional. I hope Kaiser reads

My experience for this facility is bad. Staff was rude during my wife appointments. Plus the miscommunication between staff is unreal. They dont even know their own policies. For example, staff didn't allow me to be beside my wife after surgery because of covid 19 visitors policies. However, at the moment I request to see my wife a different staff allow me to stay with her. I am disappointed of how much money I spend in order to a S.... treatment. PS: They dont take bad reviews so dont even bother asking the staff.

Worst hospital experience. Brought my mom in for pain to ear and NUMBNESS to the side of her face. We were told an ekg was order and it would be done right away. Over an hour passed and she was not called in. I spoke with the Lead Nurse and Security and was told she was next. I explained to them her symptoms and my concerns due to her age. Over 2.5 hours pass and still no one had checked on my mom who was sitting in the waiting room. We spoke with a Nurse and the Lead Nurse who only apologized and tried to blame the nurses inside the ER for the lack of staffing and organization. Another Nurse who was NOT involved decided it was his place to laugh at the situation and make comments (LEAVE THE PREMISES) towards my elderly mother. The Security Luis (respectful/ tried to help) and the Lead Nurse Mike (tried to blame their staffing) were there to witness this Nurse Giovanni (red head with tattoos on arms) being unprofessional and disrespectful, instead of minding his own business and trying to take care of his patient. Kaiser Permanente should be embarrassed to have a nurse like Giovanni on their ER Staff.
