Extremely variable quality! I came here two nights in the same week, the first night, it was ECSTASY. Literally the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The waffles are fine, whatever. Two days later, the staff is an entirely different crew, and the chicken was an absolute disappointment. Greasy! Crunchy instead of crispy! I wish I took a picture of the underside of the chicken because it was absolutely coated in oil. The service is very fast and the staff are friendly, but it was super disappointing that the quality varied that much between weekday and weekend crews

Restaurant smells of some form of chemical when you step in. Probably something they use to clean up from the night before. Nowadays there are many new restaurants with better waffle and chicken and unfortunately this place is not really keeping up with them. Everything is quite dated and place isn’t even half full on a weekend morning. Would probably not return anytime soon.

I was excited to experience Roscoe's. However I wasn't impressed by the service. Our server was clearly "high". Put in our order wrong. Last but not least. My food was omitted and when they found out. It took over 30 minutes for me to get it. Everyone was finished eating. Meanwhile I was still waiting for my food. Not to mention I'm the person paying the bill. To "fix it" I wasn't charged for my meal. If you ask me. My whole check should've been comped. Try to do better Roscoe's.

Roscoes is a classic socal spot. The waffles are delicious. They’re large format with a light soft texture and a hint of cinnamon sugar baked in. The butter is wet and light and melts instantly on the waffles. Drench them in syrup and they’ll be gone before you know it. The fried chicken is great. Freshly fried and crisply seasoned skin. You can pick from a quarter or half chicken alongside the waffles. If you’re extra hungry the chili cheese fries with extra chicken are a delight.

Neal was a great server 👍 our food was hot n delicious!! The biscuits just melted in my mouth 🤤 the gravy had a different flavor but with some of their signature hot sauce was fire!! The waffle and fried chicken breast was 💣 💣 💣 my Arnold palmer was tasty as well , the mama platter with scramble eggs n chz potatoes smothered in gravy with biscuits were yummy but the only thing I wish my waffle was a Lil more crispy..the yams n greens were delicious too but corn bread was not to good but over all 10 stars !!!!

Overall, not a bad place to check out if you're in the area, but one visit was enough for me and I wouldn't come back. My kids said the waffles were the best they'd ever had. I thought they tasted fine, but generic. My wife and I had the chicken sandwiches and fries. Both were...boring. Don't get me wrong, the chicken was BIG, pure meat, and well-cooked. But I'd hoped for some kind of flavour on it; I added some hot sauce and that made it better, but still...a bit boring. The fries were equally boring. Drinks? Fun! They offer a couple of colourful non-alcoholic beverages. Service? Not great. We had to wait quite a long time to place our order, the server never followed up with us to see how our food was, and when we wanted to take some food home with us, I had to go to the kitchen area to find takeout boxes. Prices? Painfully high, but that seems to be the norm now. I thought it was a bit strange they had a sign up saying they didn't accept phone payments. Overall, an old-school restaurant with a decent vibe, but one visit is enough.

This was our first time coming to Cali and we were happy this gem was a few minutes from our hotel. The food was 🔥, fresh, and seasoned to perfection. The size of the meals were large and you can share or have leftovers later. The waitress was so very helpful in helping us decide what to get. We enjoyed our experience so much we had to come back before we left cali. Will come back again.

I love Roscoe’s. The fried chicken and waffles did not disappoint. Neither did my sides. Everyone at my table was pleased with the food and service. The staff were friendly. The music was on point. The aesthetics of the building were nice. I would definitely visit again.

It was ok. Chicken was real good. Wings, tenders were all finger licking good. Biscuit and gravy wasnt the best that ai ever had but it was still very good. Waffle left me wanting alot more. Felt like eggo waffles from the 90s. Super thin. Didn't like that very much. Wasn't just me but people in my table and people behind me had the same thoughts.

If you've never been to Roscoes Chicken and Waffles you definitely have to make a stop here. It had been years since the last time I was here but nothing has really changed. The chicken was crispy, moist, and finger licking good. You have to pour some of the hot sauce to make it extra delicious.. The waffles were so flavorful, buttery and everything you'd want your waffle to taste like. The server was great. Food came out at a reasonable time. And our server was awesome. It was my birthday and he recommended this drink that went perfectly with my chicken and waffles. We ordered some Mac and cheese and that was also delicious. Definitely want to come back soon.

Roscoe’s simply CAN’T MISS when it comes to the food. I have been going to their different establishments for my entire life and I always leave full off of genuinely tasty waffles and chicken. You can’t go wrong with the Obama Special (two waffles, 3 fried chicken thighs), but the chili cheese and chicken fries were great too. The service could be a bit better, as some employees didn’t seem too welcoming and friendly. But the vibe inside the restaurant is nice with lots of families going in and out. Restrooms were also clean with stocked paper towels and filled soap dispensers. Plenty of parking right outside too, and this place happens to be close to Downtown Disney so the area is fantastic. You gotta hit up Roscoe’s! Once you go once, it’ll be tradition to return when you find yourself in the area.

The waffles and fried chicken was amazing. I had the Obama special. I added mac & cheese greens and red beans and rice. Red beans and rice had no flavor Greens were lukewarm greens had a no flavor. Mac & cheese was a hit. Sweet tea was warm. Do not go for the sides go for the chicken and waffles. It sucks they used to be good back in the day now they’re too commercial now lacking a lot of flavor really disappointing

Well, this did not live up to the hype by far. We were only in town for one night and chose Roscoe's. Service was excellent butttt.... Let's start with the drinks, we ordered lemonade and half lemonade and tea, the regular lemonade was more sugar than anything, the half tea and lemonade was watered down and we paid almost $6.00 a glass with no refills. The food an order of red beans and rice and thighs, the chicken needed more flavor, it just didn't have that southern kick. The red beans and rice was beans sitting on top of rice, it tasted like canned beans. Just missing those southern seasonings. Second order, chicken and waffles, the waffles were good they had a hint of cinnamon and came with warm syrup. There were 2 large waffles with 3 small wings, which just didn't add up portion wise. The wings came out hot and fresh and they did have the crunch you expect but again the flavor was not there. I think we had more fun wanting to go there than actually being there. We both agreed that we will not be returning, there is too much other competition out there and it was kinda pricey and we didn't get what we paid for.

I was very disappointed this time. I spent $40 for myself and my daughter. I went to another Roscoe's in LA the waffles were thick fluffy and delicious as well as the fried chicken. However this time my waffles were flat and didn't taste as delicious as the first time. I live in Campbell CA we went to pick up my niece and decided to eat there.

Cornbread is huge and delicious, and the chicken was crispy and juicy. Family friendly dining. Great service, thanks Jay. They allow dogs on the patio area our server brought her a bowl of water. There is parking available behind the restaurant. But close to several hotels next to Disneyland, so I walked. No line, I just walked in around 3:30pm on a Saturday.

With such history as this place has, my visit would not be completed without dining here. Ordering food to go was an easy and quick process. Was even able to make a new friend as we waited on our food and then walked back to our hotels. The food was great and really a good welcome to California.

This is an interesting place. I ordered the Sco #2 and the waffles were excellent but the chicken was just okay and the gravy is also just okay. I heard somebody next to me try to order the Obama special but didn't want beans on it. The waiter said they had to get beans because that's the way Obama had it. I thought that was a bit ridiculous since that's not what the customer wanted. I probably wouldn't go back to this place since there's so many other better places to eat in the area.

The food was great. The greens, corn bread, mac n cheese was ok. Great yams and of course the chicken is the only chicken I have found that is better than KFC on the west side USA. I think the waffle breaded chicken strips are too much but it's just my opinion to try the traditional fry first. Good times visiting home coming from Goodyear AZ.

Our waiter Levi was pleasant during our eating. He provided valuable information based on our needs, being that we are from the south (Florida). The wait was rather long, it wasn't a completely packed location, however there were more than enough customers to keep the employees busy. With that being said: I'm not sure if it was cinnamon or nutmeg in the waffle or syrup. That was a bit of a different taste that I wasn't expecting. The chicken pieces we ordered were flavored nicely, though some did look a bit fried too long. The Greens were decent, the flavor probably could have used a bit more pork. The size needed to be cut smaller. Nothing wrong with big pieces of greens, but no one eats big pieces of greens, LOL. The mac & cheese maybe could have used more cheese, but it was very good. The mashed potatoes weren't mashed. They were whole potatoes doused in gravy.

Horrible service.. Louder than a heavy metal rock concert.. Good luck getting what you order cause your pointing at things as the wait staff cannot hear you! You can sit 30 minutes and no one will care! Sad cause our vacation visit in 2015 was so amazing we just had to go this trip.. Wish we had skipped!

I had an amazing experience, but I did visit off-season in October right before dinner rush on a Tuesday... The server was very attentive, and the vibe was so chill. There was a local radio station playing and whenever the server approached, she did so dancing to the music. The food came out fast and hot! Ordered the standard 1/2 chicken and the breast was crispy and juicy! Waffles were on point, too! Definitely worth a return visit, crossing fingers to have a similar experience.

Greens were tender and well seasoned. Waffle was on the soggy side when it arrived and the chicken was juicy but lacked flavor. This place is none the less legendary though so when in town my family always stops here to eat.

My plate was the red beans and rice. It had absolutely NO flavoring, no Seasoning, no salt. A big hunk of rice and hard beans, no juice. My 2 fried legs, greens, and Cornbread taste delicious. And I ordered the beans because they ran out of Mac n cheese. This was my first time there, if I go again I know not to order red beans and rice.
