My
wife
and
I
tried
the
Downey
location
for
dinner
a
few
years
back,
so
when
we
were
passing
through
the
Anaheim
area
and
needed
a
brunch
spot
we
figured
we'd
try
their
new
location.
It
was
unfortunately
pretty
underwhelming.
We
started
with
cocktails,
I
had
a
bloody
Mary
that
was
pretty
decent,
and
my
wife
got
a
mimosa
flight.
The
mimosas
were
a
little
light
on
the
champagne
but
otherwise
pretty
tasty.
For
food
I
got
the
enfrijoladas,
which
it
was
my
first
time
trying
this
kind
of
dish.
It
was
pretty
good
but
a
little
bland
so
I
asked
for
some
salsa.
They
brought
me
a
spicy
habanero
salsa
that
was
SUPER
good.
This
should
come
standard
on
this
dish--it
needs
a
little
heat
and
you
shouldn't
need
to
ask!
My
wife
got
the
chorizo
omelet,
which
she
said
was
good
but
not
great.
We
also
shared
the
pork
belly
benedict,
which
I
wasn't
into,
but
my
wife
did
enjoy.
To
me
the
pork
belly
texture
was
off,
although
when
you
mixed
the
green
sauce
on
the
benedict
with
the
runny
egg
yolk,
it
made
for
a
great
dipping
sauce
for
some
toast!
I
must
say
though,
two
of
our
dishes
came
with
"hash
browns"
and
the
sad
excuse
for
hash
browns
that
was
delivered
to
our
table
was
atrocious.
Not
crispy
at
all,
almost
looked
like
rice
at
first
until
you
realize--it's
potatoes!
Excluding
the
hash
browns
I'd
say
most
of
the
food
was
pretty
damn
good.
But
the
hash
browns
were
so
bad
it
brought
everything
down
with
it.
Service
was
very
friendly,
although
a
little
slow
considering
the
restaurant
was
almost
empty.
Overall,
this
place
was
closer
to
"decent"
than
to
"good,"
and
far
from
"great."
But
I
do
recommend
the
Downey
location
for
dinner--the
fried
avocado
tacos
are
worth
the
trip.
