Jimmy is a very dishonest Money hungry individual How does he go by everyday knowing fully that his fish and corals have bacteria on them that will wreck havoc on anyone’s tank. And to top it off he has the worst attitude and worst customer service. I will be reporting him to the BBB because what he’s doing is a scam He should pay the grieving widow of X all the fish and coral he stole. WILL NEVER BE GOING THERE AGAIN

Bought some corals online and when I received them they were ice cold. No heating pack had been placed in shipment. Both acros I got were dead and other corals were in rough shape. Tried contacting them about it and got no response to email or phone call. Won't be ordering from them again.

I'm new to reef keeping and didn't like how they treated me. They brag about how much corals their best customers buy which was a turn off and gave me the feeling that they only want to spend time with certain people.

Bad customer service, they took forever to get to me and then they were rude.  The owner does not wear a mask. The coral doesn’t look like their pictures.

Customer service was terrible, I waited over half an hour just to be asked if I needed help when there were three employees working. Employees helped other costumers that they already knew even though I waited longer. I was quoted different prices by different people. Overall coral selection was pretty decent. No masks were worn by employees and a majority of costumers. I would go elsewhere if looking for coral and will not come back based on my first experience here.

Great selection of fish! Best fish store I've been to locally. Knowledgeable & very helpful owners and employees. Bought some Discus fish. Very healthy. My fish are doing great. I drove 40 minutes to get to Reef Tropical Fish and it was worth it. Will definitely be back.👍

I ordered three frags on Wednesday and for over night shipping. Now they tell me it’s not going to happen and I will not get my corals till next Wednesday. I was so excited and ready but now what to do. I have to wait a week after paying extra and it’s killing me to wait./ UPDATE now they have completely canceled my order because of all this

Don't bother coming here. Worse environment for fish can even keep it clean and some fish are in the dark with no light and the plants all bad. Like i come in and i came out. Very disappointed.

The fish are kept in gross water, the store is dark and dumpy. The 2 men working there are less than helpful to say the least. I bought some fish there because I felt horrible seeing their living conditions.

If a customer orders $3000 of corals, receives them and calls bank and tells bank, they do not recognize the charge. That business more likely not going to see that money. That's what we as a customer feels like when horrible customer service is permitted. Common sense, treat others as you like to be treated. Horrible customer service. I originally gave this place 4 starts but now I'm changing my mind because I thought they had a good price of koi and guppies which they do but it came at a cost.... their koi GAVE MY 4+year koi ICH which is a DEADLY INFECTION that koi get when new infected koi are introduced!!! I will never be shopping here and that place is dirty and needs to shut down or needs new owners it's disgusting how they keep their fish... DONT SHOP HERE FOR KOI or any fish

Intro/Prices: First off. I have been coming here since 1999. 20 years! Let me tell you, no one has better prices on fish than Hope(owner). Not even close. Small/Medium sized Cichlids-$5.99. Global Aquatics charges $14.99. Petsmart/Petco - $12.99 and up for small Cichlids. Walmart charges $8.00 and up for super small Cichlids(it's a gamble with Walmart fishes the are often sick). Fontana Tropical Pets charges $29.99. No BS! It's a fact that this is the cheapest place! Customer Service: Hope and his Friend Al are great guys. They are always helpful, Always smiling, Always have time to give advice and ideas. I have never felt rushed or bothered in anyway. They greet my 6 year old and give him love and attention. Hope helps teach my Son a bit of Mandarin every time we come in. Al plays great music and also has plenty of fish wisdom. I refuse to go anywhere else. Fish: I recently bought about 17 fish (Cichlids/Plecostmus/Silver Dollars) for my 45 Gallon Upright Octagon tank. I also bought about 25 assorted community fish for my Son's 45 Gallon Standard tank. No fish died. I'll say that again, No fish died! When I was younger and frequenting this location my fish did not die either. Hope knows his stuff. I read other reviews stating that there are tons of dead fish. This is not true. They have to be bad customers. Every single fish place will have a few dead fish here and there. There is no getting around that. That is part of the business. Fish get stressed and often sick being transported from here to there. Hope sells healthy fish. Period! Cleanliness: Is this place filthy? No. Is it immaculate? No. Remember, this place has been here for over 20 years. The building is old. He has accumulated a lot of stuff. Two Males run this place and they get super busy helping people and taking care of stock. The cleanliness is more than OK and that is all that matters. Come to the best Fish Store around!

Store is a mess, tanks are dirty and disgusting and if you go out back where the koi ponds are the area is over ran with weeds. My family use to go to this store all the time in the late 80’s early 90’s and it was well kept then and even had saltwater fish! Now it’s a ran down dive...it’s sad

All the fish I bought had ich every single one died and got my other fish infected so they also died lost over 300$ in fish alone I have always tried to support my local pet stores but now i rather drive an hour to DT LA to get good clean fish that are cared for and treated well

Great place to buy aquatic plants for a reasonable price. I go here every time I do laundry next door and they are always nice and have different plant varieties each time. The galaxy koi bettas are beautiful. Their tanks a lot cheaper then PetSmart for the same exact models.

visited for the first time last Thursday and bought 4 Rams, two blue and two golden. Once introduced to my tank, noticed one was less active than the other 3. After three days it disappeared in my 75gal tank and found it dead today. The store had two tanks with Rams; in one, there was a fish dying. I told the lady that bagged my fish, but she pretended as she didn't hear me. Store had a lot of supplies in stock and prices were reasonable. One of the better tropical fish stores I've visited, but can't say the fish is as healthy as one would expect them to be.

So many varieties of freshwater plants, aquascaping materials, tanks, supplies, fish and shrimps, I could spend hours here. Very knowledgeable staff, super friendly! I got my pea puffers today and each and every single stock tank they had was super clean and all live animals looked healthy and vibrant. I will be coming here from now on for my aquarium needs.

This store has a really unique selection for both salt and fresh water, along with a good selection of tanks and everything you would need to set up either a salt or freshwater aquarium. I have both so it's a convenient stop for me. Personally I think their freshwater fish and plants are a little pricey compared to other stores in the west part of Anaheim. They do have really good deals on some saltwater frags for $20. Their saltwater liverock does have aiptaisa but they sell peppermint shrimp which I've bought from them that eat it. Over the past few months I've noticed allot of dead fish, and really, really underfed ones. I usually go in early in the week, so it may be that I happen in before they do weekly maintenance to clean the unhealthy ones out from shipping mishaps etc, but I usually find a few in each system which makes me a little uneasy. The underfed fish bothers me, as in my opinion there isn't a good excuse for that. Shop is clean for the most part and owners are very helpful and kind.

this is one of the best fish stores. all the tanks are sparkling clean and very well cared for. i came in and requested some green neon tetras and the owner (im assuming) let me know that he wasn't comfortable selling me any right now as he had noticed that morning they were sick. i really appreciated the honesty and transparency. I ended up getting some beautiful celestial pearl danios instead and they've been doing great in my tank ever since. i think this is my go to fish store from now on :)

Always can count on good advice from the staff. Little long drive from Chino but worth it because of the wide variety of corals that are available and reasonable price for what your getting. Would recommend to anyone.

Buyer beware..... just wanted to share this with everyone. I gave in and bought a couple torch’s from a place called ReefLounge online. One of them I received had a cracked head on it and was DOA. The other one lasted less then a week which I communicated to them with emails and pictures and then advised when it died. Initially they said to keep them posted and they will take care of it should it die and once it died they now say sorry but they won’t replace it. I would highly recommend not to purchase anything from them as their communication and quality of coral is garbage.

I heard good things about this company so I decided to treat myself during the new years and get some corals online. The package arrived and the water was leaking everywhere and there was no heat pack when it was 33 degrees outside. They sent me the wrong corals. They told me they will replace it ASAP the following week, but no shipping confirmation. I contact them, and they forgot to tell me that the replacement is out of stock, and that I have to choose from the currently limited selection to replace it which I find extremely unfair. I don't plan on buying from them again, so I ask for my money back, but they tell me their policy is store credit only, but according to their return policy on the website, that is only when the order arrives doa. My order was completely wrong and I didn't receive what i was promised.

My personal experience with the reef lounge has been fantastic, I live in Ohio so I’m a mail order customer only and im personally glad I found them I have seen people talking about high prices but honestly their prices are as competitive as they can be in the current market and for what I received I’ve been nothing but happy with my coral , they have answered all my questions via email and supplied their phone number if i needed immediate help with something,I have had 8 different zoas from them 1 being a large colony and all of them where healthy and larger than I excepted there was a 1 day delay with my last order but they where packaged so well they survived it and the store had already told me that if they didn’t they would give me credit for all of them, great job reef lounge you have gained a trusting permanent customer here and I appreciate your great customer service I’ll be back for more soon 👍🏻👍🏻

The Reef is a great fish place wether you are new to the hobby or an expert. One of the best things about the place is the customer service you will receive from J. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, and J knows his stuff. He gives great advice and loves to help out. Id give this place 6 stars if i could.

This place is great for any aquarium enthusiast salt water or fresh. They have so many options of shrimp fish and aquatic plants. They also have a VERY large variety of tanks. The staff is knowledgable and will guide you through what you need to build your tank set up.

Store owner takes very good care of these fish and has a solid understanding of what is required to keep tropical fish looking there best. If it weren’t so far from me I would only go here and to no other establishment.

I was actually blown away by how clean and algea free their tanks were!!! I haven’t seen such clean tanks in a while! All the fish were housed with proper fish to cohabitate with, and I didn’t see ANY dead fish in the tanks! Super reasonable prices!!! The guy running the store seems to genuinely care about the fish and even said he tries to make sure customers have proper housing for the fish that get huge. I will definitely be making this my go to fish area in the OC, such an amazing experience!!!

The selection of fish was also really nice, each row is grouped together based on the type of aquarium you will be keeping, from nano fish, to fancy goldfish, freshwater and saltwater and beautiful coral. It will make you want 5 different tanks.

This is one f the better tropical fish stores in OC. I have e a freshwater planted tank and have to say that their selection of nano fish can’t be beat. All their fish always look healthy every time i visit, and the prices are good too. They also have a decent amount of hard scape and aquarium equipment as well.

Great specialty store for all of us fish lovers. I've gotten several of my school from them, along with lots of supplies and decorations. Great staff, great pricing. They know their stuff too, they have answered all of my weird questions! 😊 Some of the parrots I got from them have even started breeding.

The Reef is one of my go-to places for re-stocking my tanks. The fish are healthy and vibrant. The tanks are clear and well maintained. The Father/Son duo who run it are very knowledgeable in fish keeping. They are very helpful🙂

First time fish owner here. The older guy was very helpful in letting me know what necessary tank supplies to purchase. He also was helpful in letting me know goldfish only should have other goldfish as companions. Prices seem reasonable.

Been my go to fish store for the last few years since I started being more serious in the hobby! The owners are so nice and patient and answer any questions or leave you alone if you just want time to look around and the huge selection of fish. Everything looks well taken care of and they get regular stock of new fish and aquarium plants at decent pricing, especially knowing that they look after them properly. Some really cool fish I’ve heard are rare (according to YouTubers) that I find here often! Definitely recommend for anyone who’s starting or going strong in the hobby

Good local fish store, lots of cichlids and freshwater fish. They have a reef section, but I don’t really know about saltwater fish. Prices are a bit high, but not out of line for SoCal. Also, if you take fish to trade in or sell, the credit they give is very low.

Do not buy from this store unless you are ready to medicate and care for sick fish. Bought 12 chili rasboras on thursday, noticed white spots all over the fish on the morning of second day, definitely looks like ick. Decided it might just be stress from transport so raised the water temperature and hoped the fish would pull through. Today is sunday and now 6 fish are already dead, despite me raising the water temperature and making sure the water parameters are absolutely perfect. Started treatment with some medication today and hoping for the best for these little guys. My tank has only had shrimp and plants in it for the last year, so the ick 100% came from this store, especially considering how it showed up almost immediately on the fish. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE

They have a good selection of fish tanks and plants. The rimless tanks and plants are less expensive then other places I have seen. Wide variety of wood for you aquascaping. The smell is a bit strong when you walk in.
