Anantagiri Falls is a small waterfalls in Araku tour. You have to descend about 100 steps to reach the falls. The stairs are a bit steep. So you have to be careful. It is a decent looking waterfall with the stream going further. You can bathe there. There is also a changing room. No entry fee . You can find shops at the entry point . You will get a good view point before the move.

Nice stream flowing down the steps. This place is approx 2 kms from the main road connecting Vizag and Arakku. From the Borraguhalu junction on the main road, this is only 3-4 kms toward Arakku. The road from the main road to the waterfall parking area is in good condition, even during the Monsoon season. Partly concrete road. There’s a nice viewing deck, approx 50 steps from the parking area. And one needs to take almost 110 steps down the stairs to the base of the waterfall. Not too tiring. There are few snacks stalls, mostly selling corn, ice cream, potato chips etc. Should not be missed in this trip and should not take more than 30 min or so, unless someone wants to relax and enjoy the serene environment.

The waterfall is good. You need to get down a little. There is decent water and good. While going back you have to climb few steps. Not too much you can make it. You have archery game for just rs. 30. You will not get food but you can get some snack items.

Ananthagiri Waterfalls - This tourist location is between the Araku Valley Town and the Borra Caves. If you are travelling from Araku Valley Town towards Borra Caves, this location will be the last one before Borra Caves and if you are travelling from Borra Caves to Araku Valley Town, then it will be the first location. This one is situated inside a village. You will have to go through some small villages to reach this point, which is at the side of a hill. On the way, just before the entrance, there is a big undulate that will put your vehicle to the test. After this point, there is a separate parking spot, where you will park your vehicle and have to walk downhill towards a platform, built by the Government for the visiting tourists. You can take pictures of the uneven Araku Valley from here. The Atmospheric Perspective is beautiful. I have attached some pictures, though slightly edited with high saturation because when I went it was a tad bit cloudy like English weather, which made the sky vanilla and hazy in the distance. From this platform, you have to go downstairs to the actual waterfall. The waterfall is from the nearby small brook. CAUTION: It might be that the brook collects all the drainage from nearby localities and the rice fields here. So, be aware. The water is very brown and the waterfall is very weak. The waterfall is seasonal. The best is to visit during the rainy season.

Good place for scenic view around. They charge for vehicle parking here. I visited here in 1st week of feb of feb and maybe thats why the force of the fall was not that much as compared to monsoon season.

Ananthagiri water falls is one of the sightseeing point of vizag. This falls is no sufficient water. But this place have a beautifull scenic view. If you have more time to spend here there is a small cafe.

Decent one. Got some scenic views around the area. They charge 40 rupees for the parking. There’s a change room for women, not sure how its maintained. Few snack shops at the entry. Goes through a small village route with a well laid concrete road till the entry point.
