Entrance $5 USD. Located about 100 meters from Metropolitano Visitors Center, the mariposario is a small closed area, full of different species and sizes of butterflies. It offers the opportunity to get really close to the insects and see them in great detail. The only fault is that there are no explanations about the butterflies or the species, nor the efforts to preserve them, which makes the experience aesthetic only.

This beautiful mariposario is a kid friendly zone. Panama has 1,600 different butterfly species. In this place you will find 500 butterflies with 25 different species. Afterwards you can walk to the tropical rainforest the "parque natural metropolitano" with a turtle pond nearby. Recommended 100%

Es pequeño, pero agradable. Una caminata corta para observar diferentes especies de mariposas. El personal es muy atento, hacen un pequeño recorrido y luego te dan el tiempo que quieras para ver y tomar fotos. Las personas deben tener más cuidado, a veces en el camino lastiman o pisan mariposas.
