So
we
went
to
El
Trapiche
being
told
it
was
one
of
the
best
fondas
in
Panama
City.
It’s
supposed
to
offer
the
best
of
national
food
(very
similar
to
Colombian
food
of
the
Coast)
in
an
otherwise
short
menu
with
no
more
than
6
appetizers,
main
dishes
and
desserts,
each.
To
what
we
had,
compared
with
the
Colombian
version,
it
really
lacked
of
flavor
and
consistency.
However
the
presentation
of
the
dishes
and
attention
of
the
restaurant
is
superb.
I
really
dislike
the
chicharrones.
There
were
big
chunks
hard
to
eat
and
full
of
fat.
No
flavor
at
all,
no
crunchiness,
no
nothing.
Carimañola
was
amazing.
The
Sancocho
is
also
very
good.
Prices
are
fair.
Will
come
back
again
to
try
other
choices.
3
stars
was
the
average
of
my
experience
