    The airline broke my luggage at the beginning of my 2 week trip. I needed a new one asap. The selection was large regarding style, size, color, and manufacturer. Some were on sale. Darlene helped get a great deal. Many, many thanks 😊.

    Found a suit I really liked for Valentines Day dinner. The price rang up for the regular price despite being marked on sale. I mentioned that to the cashier and she told me to show her the sale price and she'll correct it. I showed her, she fixed it and even offered me an extra discount (completely unnecessary, but definitely appreciated!!!) Very impressed with their selection and service!

    Worst experience that I have ever had at a store. I had bought a Juicy Couture track suit for my girlfriend to wear on our flight to Greece. I scheduled it for in store pick up. I proceeded to call the store at the location that the track suit was going to be shipped to, going as far as calling 3 times, deliberately making sure that it was in store and ready. I arrived at the store a few hours before my flight because I live 6 hours away. I went to the pick up and that is where I met "Ems". She was incredibly unfriendly from the moment we walked up and greeted my girlfriend with a nasty look up and down. She continued to "where is the email proving it is in store and ready for pick." I explained how I had received an email stating my order would be ready for pick up on October 14th. It was Monday October 17th, and that was why I called several times. She refused to check the back even after I explained the entirety of the situation so I had to leave because I was not going to miss my flight. Thirty-eight (38) minutes later I received the emailing saying that my order was "all ready for pickup!" I was furious! I called and said I wanted a refund. I HAD TO CALL 12 TIMES AND WAIT 25 DAYS BEFORE I GOT MY MONEY BACK AND IT WASN'T EVEN THE FULL AMOUNT! I don't know if Ems was having a bad day or what but I guarantee I will never EVER waste my time or money in a JCPenney store EVER AGAIN. This is just my experience with placing a in-store pick up at the 5th Avenue Mall JCPenney.

    Went to the photo studio the first week on November to get pictures and order Christmas cards. We still didn't have them the first week of December, so we called to find out where they were, and the employee we spoke with said she'd have them re-sent. Based on the dates on the package, it took them a week to get the cards ordered again, then they FedEx'ed them to us on December 22nd. We got them the morning of the 24th. I dont know what they think we're going to do with these now worthless cards. We bought and sent out generic cards a few weeks ago when it was clear JCPenney had failed. To say a refund and an apology is due is an understatement.

    I bought a ring for my granddaughter for Christmas and had to have it sized. I was told it would be ready November 7th. It is still not ready. I tried calling on the 13th and no one would answer in jewelery. Very disappointed

    It has been a while I don't visit the store. My impression is that there is more clearance racks than before, I miss the standard work dress style as it didn't seem to be well stocked?!? I am not sure what to think about this last visit. I spent only 1 hour there so I may have to return to see why I am feeling this way. I am still holding to 4 stars as customer service was great.

    The place was really clean and well lit so I could see around the area. Though the music during our trip was painfully loud through out the whole place. May be it was just that one time, but that was my experience.

    I am not satisfied with the service and qualifications of the staff. I paid 200 US dollars for the photo shoot. I just needed photos for documents on a white background and that’s it. I was photographed against a white background, but the photographs themselves were taken against a blue background. I re-photographed twice. The result is the same. The photographers never helped me; they should be ashamed. I paid for the service and did not receive it. In a word, I lost time and money.

    Thank you for being there JCPenney.. It reminded me of 1985 with my grandparents at the Kmart in Gresham Oregon... I love clearance..They had a lot of that but nothing that was cute or good deal.. almost the racks seam like old lady clothes.. there was some decent bras and panties on the clearance rack I saved a ton.. worth a try

    They've been anchoring the same location for decades. A staple in the downtown community. Pleasant in-person shopping atmosphere. Open daily, reasonable hours.

    Had to return something on ordered online. Escalator not working. Returns on 3rd floor. Elevator so old, did not like riding in it especially when one was out of order. Penney’s has really gone down hill!

    Clothes are okay and the prices are fine but I prefer other stores more. I wish the clothes could be more like Gothic and dark. I hope one-day they have a whole spot for them

    They had good sales and usually have a great clearance section, this year there wasn't much, or maybe I went too late. Also they didn't have girls nikes shoes, just boys nikes.

    I won’t usually offer negative feedback but The associate at the customer service desk assumed I had a the wrong receipt and when I told her I did not, she condescending told me again without analyzing the situation. I may have had a better experience with self service options. I work in customer services too and never in my experience bluntly told a customer they are rude because it may escalate the situation.

    Great place to get a bargain on everyday clothes and accessories. Discount coupons on their website mean prices are outstanding. Highly recommend.

    Went in for a new cologne, but with Alaska being Alaska the inventory for the product I wanted wasn't accurate. I didn't need to worry though. The sales associate who was working the fragrance department was overbearingly helpful in finding an alternate scent for me. And as it happens, it was also a scent that I had been looking forward to getting a larger size of anyway. Excellent service and a very satisfied customer was the end result 🙂

    Need more choices in Men's Jeans. There was only one pair of 32x34 in the Levi and JCP Arizona jean departments. A lot of blue and black jeans, but not enough green, beige, white or burgundy colors available. More Choices = More Customers..

    It's not the JC Penny I grew up with. Was very hard to find someone to help. When I did find someone, she was kinda rude. Very few cashier's. Also, they took out the Big and Tall sections. At one time when you wanted great customer service, and slightly up scale products. You went to JC Penney. Sadly not any more.

    It's time for JC Penny to go the way of the Dodo bird. My wife and I are elderly and my wife is handicapped. On our recent trip to the Anchorage JCP, we were greeted with boarded up fitting rooms and restrooms. There were no signs telling where we could find either, and staff were no where to be found. When I finally did find an employee, I was informed the only "open" fitting rooms were located on the 1st floor on the other side of the store and on the 2nd floor, and the rest rooms could only be found in the mall. We weren't the only ones frustrated as we helped several other elderly ladies "find" an open fitting room. I don't recommend anyone over 60 using the Anchorage JCP.

    **Visiting from Seattle, WA Visited the store for a couple shirts for a conference. By far the best customer service I've gotten from JC Penney in years! Thank you Ryan and Cecile! And the rest of the staff working the fitting rooms and the floor!

    Be careful you will spend too much with these great prices. The shoes are not good but the rest of the stuff good. Went shopping today and get a few things. The store just reopened 2 days ago. Short staffed with kinda long lines, but just be patient and enjoy the experience. Took lots of pics of the stuff I was looking at and things people might find interesting. Enjoy!

    Been going here off and on for decades. If you're looking for deals on fashion, this could be the place. It kind of has everything. There are always some serious sales going on here. You should check it out if you're looking for something cute and on sale.
