Was given gift certificates as a welcome to the area and decided to use them for my wife's birthday. Let me say, we are so very glad we did. I made reservations day before. When we arrived, we where seated immediately. Our waiter was there promptly to get our drink order. He asked if we had looked at the appetizers and did we have any questions about the menu. We ordered the crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer.. they where perfectly done and made to order. We then ordered the main course. My wife had the sea scallops with risotto. It was cooked to perfection. Scallops where tender and in a white wine sauce. My mom had the fried shrimp. They where not rubbery or over done. My dad and I had the prime rib. Let me tell you, I have eaten prime rib from all over and this has got to be the best I have ever eaten. The food quality here is the best available. The service here is top notch. Now for the restaurant itself. Most of the tables are by the huge picture windows overlooking the marina and the lake. Sunset views. The booth we where in was very adequate size and very comfortable. They also have very nice outdoor seating beside the fountain. This will be outlr goto for special occasions and guests. Would give 10 stars if I could.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great, everything cooked perfectly. It's a bit pricey and only open from 5 to 9. The drink menu is very small. The food menu has everything from sushi and seafood to hamburgers and steak.

I really enjoyed our dinner here. There are so many choices from sushi or salads to steak or chicken and seafood. They also have a daily specials menu aside from the usual entrees. The service is great. Our server filled our water constantly and was always available even though the restaurant was extended busy and crowded on a Friday night. There is a full bar with a nice selection of wines also. The restaurant is lake front and has beautiful views of Lake Hartwell. There is both indoor and outdoor seating as well as seating at the bar. I highly recommend making reservations. You have to call the restaurant as online booking is not available. The prices are reasonable and the food was terrific. If they have the peanut butter cake, the day you go, make sure you get a piece even if you take it home with you. It is the best peanut butter cake I have ever had. It was light, moist and creamy not overly rich or decadent. Even our server said she didn't even like peanut butter, but loved this cake! The sushi here is unexpectedly delicious and they offer southern specialties also like fried green tomatoes, grits and homemade squash casserole.

Have not been here in probably 10 years. Food was great and service was great. Will return. I like that you can also get sushi here now

Visit tonight was enjoyable. Haven't been in years. Still has spot on wait staff. The menu has changed and disappointed that rack of lamb and wedge salad wasn't on the menu. The change from high end dishes to blend in the Japanese cuisine was a disappointment . So many sushi places around. Old menu is still online and had me anxious for thing, no longer offered. Was stil a good meal and service was awesome. Not my choice sushi. I would like to see the old menu return and another Japanese place built next door. Great food and service tonight .Thanks

Wonderful birthday dinner here ! All our food was hot and delicious! Stephanie our server was great too !

It's a fun, nice place with a good selection of drinks and great sushi choices. The main course, though a special, was a tad overcooked. Still, I'll come back and try other items. The overall experience was terrific. Wheelchair accessibility is no worry. Vegetarians will be okay. Gluten-free folks will find options, but need to let the staff know at the outset.

On the fly Dinner! Was incredible. Friendly staff and fast service. Located in Lake Hartwell will go back and catch a beautiful sunset

The Galley is a great date night or special occasion restaurant. We have made it the spot for our family get together for Christmas the last 2 years. Wonderful food and service.

Early Valentine’s dinner was amazing. This was our 3rd visit and will continue to make it a tradition. All of the staff are friendly and attentive especially our waitress Savanah! Food was served promptly and was delicious. Wonderful atmosphere even when it's raining.

The food and service were excellent. Lawson, our waiter, was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. My wife and I both ordered the Rainbow trout, and it was an excellent choice. I will definitely be back the next time I travel through.

It’s been awhile since we’ve been to The Galley but it was just as good as we remembered!! We took a little turn and decided to try the sushi as an appetizer and then shared the Steak and Shrimp Kushiyaki! Sooooo good and the perfect amount to share! Hope to go back soon!

A really great place for a wonderful dinner and drinks. Food was very good. Had the flounder and my husband had scallops, both were prefect. I have to mention our waiter, his name is Eric he was sweet and good at what he does. Very help full We will be back.

We had the best meal we have had in a long time at The Galley. It didn't hurt that we were outside as the sunset either. Our waiter CJ was wonderful, making sure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to come back again!

Oh my goodness!! The mahi-mahi topped with lump crab meat special was more delicious than the spectacular presentation. The homemade braided crust apple pie à la mode is a must!

The food was fresh and very delicious. Our server was on point. We never had to ask for refills. He checked to make sure everything was good several times. Would definitely eat here again!

I don't write reviews unless something was excellent or horrible. Everything about our visit was exceptional. I had made reservations but we were early and still seated right away. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Our server helped decide a selection for our meal and it was a great choice. The appetizer was great as well as the bread and honey butter. The scenery overlooking the lake is beautiful and is nice to see while eating and socializing. The atmosphere is not overly loud so you are able to have a conversation without having to raise your voice. We will definitely be going back again and again.
