Sita Falls is a slightly unknown waterfalls situated a little on the outskirts of Ranchi. The water falls originate from River Kanchi amidst gorgeous green landscape and dense woods. The mesmerising waterfalls are a treat to watch and are also a popular trekking spot for the adventure enthusiasts. 40kms away from Ranchi, near Jonha railway station lies the beautiful Sita Falls. Many believe that the falls due to their mesmerizing beauty are named after Sita of Ramayana also known for her surreal beauty. It is a sparsely visited place by tourist hence a great option for those looking for some peace and relaxation.

It is one the undiscovered and not so famous falls of Jharkhand, but it's truly worth a visit. It has the best scenic routes. It can be a little dangerous during heavy monsoons but its mesmerising otherwise.

Amazing waterfall. But you have to walk down if you want to reach bottom of the fall. It's better to take a rest while walking down/Ups. You should go and see amazing nature.

Yet another beautiful fall surrounded by lush green trees. This fall is quite different from the others in way that you can climb up to the point where water falls from a height and soak yourself in the falling water! The climb upto this point might even give you a feel of trekking ( just a warm up one!!). This place is not too developed and there's little place around the fall where you can organise picnic ( just two-three groups of people can make it feel crowded). Remember to carry spare dresses as once you are up there, you cannot resist the temptation of bathing under the fall. Its a good place for nature photography too.

Not the newest scenic point but its trending I would say. Adventurous trek to go through main waterfall. People going there you should be physical fit and aware & careful for every footsteps in Rocky terrains & waterfalls. Beyond this it was magical experience to be part of scenic point what Jharkhand offers.

Beautiful Falls with breathtaking sceneries. But a lot of staircases like other waterfalls still lesser than Hudru and Jonah. Overall a great experience. A must-watch destination.

Less crowded & less step to reach the bottom. Monsoon is the best time to enjoy the beauty of Falls. Ample space for car & two Wheller parking. Avoid the winter months because of unwanted crowd & noise.

The Sita fall is in Radhu river which is a tributary of the subranarekha river The falls drop from 43.90 metres (144.0 ft). It is a perfect place to spend time on the weekend with your family. You can picnic with your family and friends . And also visit jhona falls with this .

Visited on: 30-Dec-2022 Entry fee rs10/head One has to take some 200 steps to reach the fall area. Nothing much to do. Waterfalls water at the ground level near the boulders were very unclean.

Amidst the green the fall emerges out beautiful. Nice to visit the place. And there is something beautiful. When the water touches your feet it feels awesome. But be careful.😊

Sita Falls in Ranchi is a hidden gem that offers a serene escape into nature's embrace. Nestled amidst the verdant forests of Jharkhand, this waterfall is a tranquil oasis waiting to be explored. What sets Sita Falls apart is its accessibility and the intimate connection it allows with the natural world. Descending the well-maintained steps to reach the base of the falls is a breeze compared to many other waterfall treks. As you make your way down, you'll be surrounded by lush greenery, creating a feeling of entering an enchanted forest. The journey itself becomes an adventure. Upon reaching the bottom, you're greeted by a captivating sight – water flowing in narrow streams that you can touch with your fingertips. It's an immersive experience, as you can get up close and personal with the cascading water. The gentle flow creates a soothing ambiance that's perfect for relaxation. The verdant surroundings at Sita Falls make it an ideal spot for photography. The play of light and shadows through the trees adds to the enchantment of the place. It's a haven for nature enthusiasts and a great spot for those seeking a peaceful retreat.

Small yet very attractive. Best for a small group of friends or family in oct to nov . In December it would be not recommended as the fall is small . Overall I had a great experience

Nice place for parking and basic toilets are available. Good for senior citizens as well as they don’t have to reach all the way to downstairs. The waterfall can be watched from halfway.

Great scenic beauty. There is a staircase available to reach the waterfall. The fall is located near to Jonha fall. We have visited this fall in the month of January and the water flow was moderate. The place was not at all crowded. We really enjoyed the nature.

This is an amazing place to spend some quality time nearby ranchi, jharkhand .it is a hour plus ride from ranchi city . you have to trek a little on your way back from waterfall ,but the effort is worthy . it is situated inside dense jungle but the place is safe and well monitored by forest guards.

Located a few kms from Jonha Falls. Entry ticket Rs 30 per person, and Rs 30 car parking. One need to cross around 250 stairs to reach the view point of the falls from the parking. There are no hotels or eating places near Sita Falls.

Fall view is good, but not good for picnic, cooking. There is no proper maintenance. Stairs are less compared to jonha Or hundru fall. To visit nearby the water fall path is tedious and slippery rocks. There is no proper place to bath. No hotels near fall. Entry charge is 10 per person Parking charge 25 for 4 wheelers. Just ok place. It can be covered in same day along with Jonha fall which is just 5-7 km from Sita fall

  • 5/5 Saikat B. 2 years ago on Google
This is a very nice falls of Jharkhand. The good part of it has less number of stairs compare to Hundru or Jonha. Stairs are in good shape. Elderly person can sit and rest side by stairs. We visited in March 2022. So water in the falls was less. Best time to visit is after monsoon season.

Sita Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall situated in Jonha village of Anagada block of Ranchi district. It is situated in the lap of nature with beautiful scenery. This waterfall attract less people other than any other waterfall. But on the occasion of new year more tourist arrived here to enjoy picnics. Some people cooked their picnic here and some have carried out from the home and enjoyed here. You can bath here easily. Here 10 rs. ticket charge for single person and parking charge is 15 rs. for two wheeler. If you go there in rainy season then must carry a umbrella otherwise rain will disturb you. Must visit and experience the nature of beauty.
