The chicken tenders were amazing. I would also recommend the Mac and Cheese as a side. The service was fast and friendly. Definitely worth a visit. I do believe you have to be over 21 to eat here though.

Despite the small menu and the pub fare, this is probably more a good place to get a sandwich than it is to get a drink. My old fashioned filled only halfway in a small cocktail glass that was also filled with ice was $11. The renovations look nice, and the place has a great atmosphere. My pork tenderloin sandwich was really good. My husband enjoyed his fish entrée. Both were very inexpensive. However, the drink was a rip-off. Could’ve been a four or five star otherwise.

The owner has done a great job with the renovation and updating it from what it used to be. It's cozy with the added fireplace and has a relaxing vibe. The food is really good. The tenderloin sandwich is huge. The fish basket is tasty. If you're a local and remember Miss Vicky's potato salad, they have it!!

Though the place is pretty the food is horrible. The Shrimp is so tough you can't cut through it! The fish is literal fish sticks and the mashed potatoes are microwaved paste. To boot their servers are extremely unprofessional

Very clean and delicious flavorful food! I got the prime rib. It is so hard to find good au jus sauce, most places water it down too much. This was the best sauce I've ever ate at a restaurant it was perfect, all the food was full of flavor. Meatballs were wonderful too.

My wife and I had dinner and drinks here on a Thursday night. My wife had the fish dinner while I enjoyed one of their Chicago dogs. Both were very tasty but it was their staff that impressed me the most. If you want to have a great dinner served by the best waitress in Indiana, be sure to go on a Friday or Saturday night and ask for BUBBLES!

Katelyn was AWESOME! Great service. Nashville chicken sandwich was very good with garlic mashed potatoes. Maybe more vegetarian options and more craft beer options. Overall highly recommend.

The Christmas mule and margaritas were as good as any we’ve had. The beer cheese app was delicious. I had the spicy meatball dinner. My husband had the ribs. Both meals were very tasty. Ribs fell off the bone. Friendly and attentive staff. We will be back !!!

I had the Barbeque rib shanks. Lots of meat and good flavor. Two sides came with the dinner. I got the coleslaw and it was some of the best I've had. The other was garlic potatoes. They were also good. The only thing I would suggest to them, is they find away to soften the sound in the restaurant. There were two large parties. With everyone talking, it was very hard to hear the person that was across from you.

The tenderloin was so dry I couldn’t eat it and the onion rings were horribly over cooked. I’ve been here three times and have not had a decent meal yet. Also, someone in our group spill a beer and a server game over to wipe the floor and her rag was BLACK! I hope they clean the kitchen better than that. Never again…

Cosmetically nice. Bathrooms still tge same in an older building. Really cleaned the place up. Be sure to ask the price of drinks before you order. No drink board or on menu, so you may be shocked when you get your bill. Live and learn. Bar Food - ok! Enjoy

The prime rib special, shrimp pasta and bacon cheeseburgers were awesome! The service was great, the chef waited for the rest of party to get there before finishing their orders , so they would be hot. The waitress was friendly and made sure everyone had what they needed. The environment was cool and clean. Thanks, for treating us like you really cared and want to make a good impression.

I really hope the best for this establishment that opened up in October. I am no longer a local but grew up in this area. I was looking for a traditional Irish meal on Saint Patrick’s day and green beer and they offered both. I was sadly disappointed to be served my beer in a red solo cup and convinced the bartender to give me a pint instead. The corn beef was full of gristle and the cabbage lacked flavor. I was surprised to see that it was not served with potatoes and carrots. I have talked to other locals who have had similar experiences with the food. I am not sure exactly what vibe they are trying to attract here as it is a beautifully designed dining area that doesn’t allow anyone under 21 to enter. The bar is gorgeous but limited on liquor choices. Like I said, I really do wish them the best of luck because if they can choose a niche that can vibe with Angola, they can be phenomenal.

Cute place! Was there for lunch and got the Nashville Hot Chicken because the hostess had told us that the owner was orginally from TN. Chicken was very juicy and just the right amount of spice for me (I chose mild).

Booked our office Xmas party for 24 people, management knew weeks in advance and we checked in with them a week prior to party and day of to make sure all was good to go, was assured the kitchen could handle our group well they could NOT, it was a fail on all levels, they had one bartender who by the way was the server, tables were sparsely set, appetizers came out, no plates accompanied them for the table. Dinners came out at different times, orders came out wrong , drinks took extremely long to get. Shame on the management for not properly staffing. Unfortunately 26 local people were highly disappointed ☹️

We stop in on Friday for lunch, when we first walked in it was vary nice. But soon changed, the waitress was not vary familiar with the menu. We ordered the chicken and a salad. Never got our salad until our dinner came. And the chicken, well I will just say KFC has better. Not really impressed with it not sure if we will go back

For two people our bill was $84 and the first pot of coffee was ice cold

Saw it advertised and thought we'd give it a try since we were walking the town and hitting the antique shops. Caught then between the lunch rush and after work crowd, so it was quiet. Great for our group to chat and enjoy our drinks. Also got to see some news and weather, since we have no tv or Internet at the lake cottage. Pleasant and helpful staff made it more enjoyably. Would not hesitate to stop in again, and hopefully get to spend more time at Mc Cools!
