Had a great experience at Sitka. The clinic is modern, clean and pleasing space to be in. Had Anthony as my RMT practitioner and he was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I left feeling 100 times better than expected and am looking forward to continued treatment. They even offer direct billing which is a dream. Highly recommend.

My consult with Anthony, the RMT, was extremely beneficial. He explained his focus, his training, and explained how he would treat my pain points. He assessed my posture and joint mobility. With the time we had, he stretched out my hips and treated one ankle. As he moved me through the treatment, he took the time to explain what he was doing. I left the clinic feeling great. I've booked a 45 min appointment for later this month!

I’ve had experiences with 3 different team members at Sitka and each one is unique and truly amazing at their job. I’ve experienced physio with Elizabeth who is kind, makes you feel comfortable and really helped with a lot of pain I was experiencing from an injury. I’ve seen Anthony for massage therapy. He works in unique ways that I have never experienced from any other massage therapist that really make a difference. My most recent experience with Chelsea doing Pilates physio was also great, focusing on strengthening an injured shoulder. They are all so kind and truly care about their patients. Would recommend Sitka Physio & Wellness 1000%

Yvonne was fantastic! She took the time to listen, and ask me questions before the treatment began. Which really allowed me to feel I was heard and considered in detail. Treatment was quite relaxing and I felt much better afterwards. I’ve Booked a bunch more sessions. Looking forward to seeing how the treatments continue to improve my health. Thank you

Liz is fantastic! She has helped me with various sporting injuries. I saw multiple therapists around the city before I started going to Sitka. Liz was the first therapist who I felt assessed my whole body and kept me going through all of my trail races. She provides lots of exercises for you to do independently and responds to emails if you have questions between sessions.

Elizabeth got right to the root of my issue and in a short time had me walking normally (after a dislocated ankle). She gave me some exercises to work on until the next time we meet, at least one of which has to do with movements in my mouth. I would be skeptical, but when she demonstrated the connection and my walking became easier, I am convinced. I will definitely continue to return to Elizabeth until my walking is normalized again.

Sitka Physio & Wellness offers up the most personalized health care I have ever experienced, by the most professional, intuitive and down to earth practitioners in the city. No judging, no preaching: they listen to you, assess what your lifestyle and goals are, and then get you back to where you want to be. Five star rating and beyond!

A top notch team at Sitka! I cannot recommend Anthony Rocha highly enough for massage therapy. Anthony is a very skilled RMT with the ability to target and effectively treat problem areas. He has been a great asset in helping me to manage the aches and pains associated with modern office life. Anthony also provides practical tips for stretching exercises, which have been invaluable. Anthony always takes the time to listen in order to deal with specific issues in each session. Thanks Anthony!

I saw Elizabeth for my first treatment with her. She is amazing! She assessed me with so much compassion + patience! I am grieving as my husband passed away + she said I have emotional pain in different parts of my body. This pain causes me to have vertigo, light headed, fog. After my treatment for the 1st time I felt like I was able to release some emotional pain. I look forward to having Elizabeth help me thru these difficult times.

Elisabeth McClatchie is an incredible health professional with a super personality. She does an excellent job of getting to know her patient by asking thorough questions that in turn helps her understand the root cause of the issue. She is also highly trained and can offer several treatment options based on the client’s needs. Lis works hard to ensure that her clients leave in better condition than when they came in, physically and mentally!

I saw Helen Ries regularly from May to September,2022. I found it difficult to form a therapeutic alliance with her .Her manner was rushed at times, explanations of treatments vague after fascia manipulation and I was not seen as a whole person with multiple injuries; even when I tried to explain my mental and emotional state s.The clinic as well has a “cold”, (no personal touch,)atmosphere ; with receptionists who rarely were outgoing and friendly.

I have seen Jason for more than 4 years since I had developed chronic shoulder pain from my 20 year fullntime nursing profession. His assessment is the most accurate by assessing my muscle in use closely and reassessing with applying some adjustment. Recommended optimal exercises and treatment have been working best for me to the point I could continue my nursing professin experiencing way less pain. He has been closely communicating with my physician for the best outcome. He is a gem.

I had seen several practitioners over the years about my injury before a friend recommended I go see Elizabeth. She is a wizard, she's fun to talk to, and she really knows her stuff. Thanks Liz for working your magic.

I have found Sarah Campion to be very professional and thorough with her intakes and assessments. Using her knowledge of orthopedic assessments/differential diagnosis to hone in on the chief complaint/ concern i may have that day. Sarah always brings a smile and postive attitude to each treatment. Working together to help improve my recovery/ performance for my sport in powerlifting at a national level. I really like the fact Sarah is not afraid to check in regularly and apply more pressure if needed, or go back to a particular area i feel needs more attention. It really shows her active listening and patient centered care. I would highly recommend Sarah without hesitate to coworkers, friends and family.

I only have great things to say about Sitka Physio and Steve Nairn. I went to see Steve with knee pain that I have not been able to permanently get rid of after visiting numerous physios over a number of years. Within one session, Steve was able to ask all of the right questions and understand how I move enough that he could make a difference to my knee pain instantly. Steve takes a holistic view on his treatments and was able to assess what parts of my body were misaligned and restricting my movement. In addition, Steve worked with me to identify how the mind can play a part in pain and pain prevention. Steve worked with me to educate me on how stresses and emotions can play a big part in how you physically feel. Not only has Steve made my knee pain go (and stay away for a couple of months now), he has also got rid of my headaches, stomach cramps and numerous other minor ailments. I would not have thought it possible, I cannot thank Steve enough for the difference he has made.

Great great clinic. I have a really bad shoulder injury since 10 years and had a lot of problems finding the right physiotherapists. Liz was really creative in finding new ways to help me with pain and balance. On the first day I went to Sitka, she was able to reduce the pain I had for years. She's passionate and definitely cares for her patients. It helps that I can speak french with her sometimes. In my case I will need to see a physio for a long long time and I'm happy to have found some comfort, trust and hope.

I have been a client of Liz's at Sitka Physio & Wellness for over 3 years as issues come up. She is the best physio I've seen. She is extremely knowledgeable, personable and professional. Liz most recently treated me for a 2nd degree tear of my MCL and damage to my ACL. I went from being unable to bear weight on my right foot to being 90% in four months - no surgery required. I firmly believe I wouldn't have recovered as well, or as quickly, without Liz (or the supplemental treatment I received).

I have received the best care at Sitka! I have been seeing Lis for physio for the last 9 months so far and it's so nice to have reliable care that actually works. What ails me is not an immediate or easy fix, but I feel assured that my visits with Lis and Carla for kinesiology have results that build on each other and will get me back to 'normal'. I completely trust in them and the personalized treatments and exercises that they have given me. I never feel rushed and each treatment they are assessing and reassessing things to make sure that I am getting the proper corrections that my body needs. This is no cookie cutter treatment and there is no one size fits all and I truly appreciate that as I have heard different stories from others that have seen different physios. I have recommended a couple people to Sitka and love singing their praises!

Steve found some awkward postures I had while walking and sitting that I never knew and were the reason behind my lower back and neck pain. He gave me some helpful exercises tailored specifically to my body that helped reducing the pains during the treatment and I can always do them whenever the pain comes back. Oh one last thing... if you are lucky he may share with you a secret family trick that not only eliminates neck pain but also make you look cute in photos!

Liz has been amazing! I’ve been to physio in the past, but nothing compared to the authenticity, care and hands on treatment that Liz and Sitka has provided. With out getting too personal, I’ve been going for about 6 months now, and my issues have gotten better. Thank you!

I started going to Sitka Wellness several years ago to get some physiotherapy with Steve. He helped me immensely to recover from an injury using various techniques (including IMS -- felt so ewww but also so effective) and always showing me exercises that best complemented my pace of recovery and goal post-recovery. He also empowered me to observe where to look so I could decide where to focus on my own rehab for the day. I also see Anthony for registered massage therapy. We've only just started our treatments and I am amazed how much of my mobility I have regained in such a short period of time. At our first session, he immediately identified and addressed issues (old and new issues I was both aware and unaware of)! He has adjusted things in a session that I had been going to a chiropractor for for months (years?). I only wish he had more availability!

I went to see Elisabeth McLatchie several months ago due to ongoing shin splints that started to really bother me. She was incredible!!!! I'd seen another highly rated Vancouver physio prior to visiting Sitka, and they failed to fix the issue. Elisabeth assessed my running style, fixed my stride and prescribed a running program for me, and now my shin splints are completely gone. Thank you so much!!

Helen looks at the whole body. Not just the "sore spot". She is solely responsible for getting me running and working out properly (I have see many physios). I've been going to her regularly for 8 years and highly recommend her and all of the staff at Sitka.

I really highly recommend Elizabeth. I have been going to a different physiotherapist for a year for what I thought was IT band syndrome. I saw Elizabeth and she was actually able to diagnose me with the proper condition and gave me very detailed instructions on how to reduce my pain and improve my posture, especially while I run. I had no idea that so many things were contributing to my pain and Elizabeth actually shot a quick video of me walking/running and analyzed each bit of the video so that I could properly understand what was happening (this was for a running assessment). As a fellow healthcare professional, I found that her assessment was thorough and detailed, and she explained the results to me in a way that I could understand and grasp. I will stick with Elizabeth going forward because she provided me with client centered care, was extremely knowledgeable and provided me with fantastic results. I am finally pain free and able to run and hike again after 1 year! She's absolutely amazing!!

Very clean and professional clinic. I have serious neck and upper back pain from sitting at a desk 90% of the day, and Katy VantSchip has been able to rehab my issues more than any other physio ever has. Truly a lifesaver! Can't say enough good things about this place.

Lis is the best! Lis takes her time to find the root of my pain and I always leave feeling so much better. Also, Chris, the office manager, he is one of the nicest humans you’ll meet. I love the team at Sitka.

I had an amazing assessment by Helen Ries today , one that I never had before. Helen was so thorough ,asked such interesting questions and laid out some body connections ( fascia)that may be affecting my sore shoulder . She then did some gentle but focused manual treatment and gave me some valuable "homework" ! Thanks so much Helen!

I highly recommend sitka for anyone suffering from running issues. Since my 3 appointments earlier this year with Helen & Katy, I am running pain free and breaking my personal records every week without injury. I owe a lot of this to their great suggestions (zero drip shoes, faster strike, etc) as well as their sharp note on how my different feet strike differently led to my pain in one foot. On top - the office is well-organized and everyone in the staff is welcoming. Five stars!

I have been working with Jenn in a 1-1 yoga class every week for about 3 years now. Her approach is mindful and gentle and very unique to the individual. Our practice is one of mindfulness, understanding and learning. Jenn is always very well prepared and is a wealth of knowledge which she is happy to pass on. The movements are slow and methodical and always what I find myself needing! I would highly recommend Jenn to anyone looking to understand more about themselves and about the ages old practice of Yoga.

I've been seeing Helen for physio for some time now and Sarah for massage for the past few months to support my running and half marathon/marathon training. Helen is so intuitive and has been instrumental in helping me deal with issues from a previous injury and in helping me move better in running and in life. Sarah is the best massage therapist I've ever seen. She is also extremely intuitive and her background in athletics really gives her an amazing understanding of my issues and experience. Helen and Sarah are so supportive of my athletic goals and I'm so grateful to have them on my team.
