What a wonderful experience! The waiting area smells amazing the moment you walk in the door. The treatment room was private, clean and comfortable. The front of the studio street door is kept locked so you can feel totally secure in the space. I saw Whitney for my brows and upper lip, she provided a meticulous sugaring treatment, I appreciated her attention to detail, she perfectly shaped my brows and didn’t leave even a single hair I needed to tweeze when I got out side and saw myself in the sunlight. I especially enjoyed how throughly Whitney treated my upper lip, again not a single thing I needed to touch up at home. The process of sugaring is so much more relaxing compared to waxing, it’s done using only the warm playable sugar itself, it’s rolled over the skin and removed, it’s quick and continuous rather than waxing where you have to wait in between each application of wax. I have been meaning to try Sugaring Change for a while and I am so glad I finally did!

I decided to try out sugaring after suffering a few burns and messy/patchy jobs from other waxing clinics, and came across Sugaring Change after a lot of Googling. From the moment I walked in, Marsha was extremely welcoming and made the experience a comfortable one for me! She was also very careful and explained the process/steps involved with sugaring. Sugaring is far less painful compared to waxing, and Marsha did an excellent job! Sugaring Change has definitely gained a new client and this will be my go-to place from now on. :)

The best experience I have ever had with hair removal is at Sugaring Change in Port Moody. Not only is the sugaring experience, itself, so much nicer than waxing (and lasts SO much longer than shaving), but this body-positive business just feels good to visit and support. When you walk in to the reception area, you are greeted with body positive mantras, soothing colors and no messages about all the ways "you could look better if...." Instead of beauty magazines, there are photographs of moms with stretch marks highlighting the beauty and worth of ALL bodies. I had a couple of bad experiences with waxing. I found it extremely painful and left my skin swollen and bumpy. When I booked my first appointment, I expressed to Chantalle about how nervous I was about the experience and she was very understanding and patient. She explains everything to you before the appointment and answers all your questions. During the appointment, she made me laugh the entire time so I didn't even notice hair was being removed from my body. After the appointment, my skin was smooth and wasn't even swollen. For anyone who has sensitive skin like mine I would highly recommend sugaring. I have now been going to Sugaring Change for 3 years and have yet to have a bad experience. I would never go back to waxing!

I had waxed for years with tons of ugly ingrowns, burn marks & irritated skin. I started coming to Sugaring Change ~5 years ago. Sugaring is gentler on my skin. I now have very minimal ingrowns. (If I have any, it's my fault because I have forgotten to exfoliate.) No more burns! I'm on BP meds so my skin tore easily with wax but does not with sugaring. My hair growth has reduced... which is mind boggling because I could've given Chewbaca a run for his money in a Who's Hairier competition. All of the Practitioners I've seen have been lovely, courteous, understanding & have always made me feel welcome. It is definitely a soothing studio with inclusive pictures and uplifting art pieces. I will 100% recommend to anyone who wants to try it! Chantalle also does some philanthropic work, which warms my heart. So, if I can help support that, I will.

I visited Whitney every 4ish weeks for 5 months while I was living in BC. I actually looked forward to my brazillian and underarm appointments... (?!) The location is beautiful and very clean. All the staff are kind, personable and professional. Whitney was such a joy to see. She's great at her job, enjoyable to talk to and also just super funny. Book your appointments in advance if possible, because they are busy for a reason. I would recommend this place to anyone I know!

Great first-time experience with Sabha a couple months ago! I was really nervous as my hair growth was long due to having just recovered from a major surgery & not being able to go get my usual wax. I was staying with family in Port Moody & decided to check it out. The skin calming mask on the bikini line after was perfect. It hurt way less than I expected it to & was so quick. Next time I need to get sugaring done when I'm in Port Moody, I'll definitely be there again!

Bernice is amazing! I used this service in December before my vacation to Mexico and I will definitely be going back. She was so friendly and very good at her job. I didn't have to shave for over a month and when the hair grew back it was very thin and light for the first few shaves.

I was kindly explained how to decrease the pain during the session and how to treat my skin afterward. I had an appointment with Alla, and she is absolutely amazing master. Been getting sugared here for years & it’s always a good experience. Chantelle is lovely and so is the brand. Just be mindful of booking with the practitioner that you know and trust because I went with someone new due to availability and the experience was much less enjoyable. Long rips, lots of pain, no check ins, and missed an entire patch of hair.

I have been seeing Sahba at the Port Moody Sugaring Change and I must honestly share that she is so gentle, kind and mindful when sugaring my most intimate area. For those that haven’t had their most “intimate” area sugared, it hurts way less than wax and if you get Sahba to do it for you, it’s much less painful than expected. They also have a wide range of other services that I recommend.

Chantalle was so pleasant, informative, and kind. It was my first time visiting, and she was nothing but welcoming and warm. I thought of trying sugaring my underarms for years. I finally took the plunge. I booked with Hilary and she was kind, very knowledgeable and made me feel as comfortable as I could. 3 weeks later my hair growth was very patchy and what did come back was so fine that you could not see the hair (or shadow!) from a distance. No more worrying about shadows or hair or wearing certain tops if its an off day shaving. I wish I had started this years ago!! Never looking back and shaving again. The clinic itself is bright, clean and such a welcoming, body positivity place. I cannot recommend this place and their staff enough, and will be a repeat client for as long as they are open.

I chose this place due to it being close to home and I am so glad I did. I got my first Brazilian ever here and definitely will be coming back. The place is very nice and clean, they have covid procedures in place and abide by the rules. The staff was very friendly, and Hilary was amazing! It is also worth noting that they use natural products and most if not all of the products they use are local. Hilary was really great for my first time, she explained everything step by step and consistently checked in to make sure i was still ok. She went out of her way to make sure that I felt comfortable and is very considerate. I will definitely be going to her again!

I chose to make an appointment with Sugaring for a Brazilian as they use natural ingredients and they had great reviews. However, after my appointment I was very disappointed. I felt like my appointment was very rushed and impersonal. There were many missed hairs and my skin was swollen and bumpy afterwards.

Awesome. I'm a Brazillian newbie (never even had a wax) with very sensitive skin. The first time hurt, but my skin, while reactive in the moment, soothed very quickly afterwards. I just had my second appointment and couldn't believe how much less painful it was. The staff are super polite, caring and respectful.

I could not be writing a better review for this company. I used to get waxing done and after a horrific experience at Stripped I stopped getting waxed. I am going away for a vacation and thought, why not. I was so scared to get “sugared” or waxed ever again but I called, they answered all my questions and helped me book in. I got booked in with Whitney Robinson and when I arrived she was so welcoming and warming to me and I explained to her how nervous I was and all about what happened last time. Whitney was amazing. She walked me through the whole thing, took it super slow and made me feel SO comfortable. I went in for a bikini and ended up getting a Brazilian. More money obviously but so so so worth it. She talked the entire time and was joking around with me and made me feel like I was such a priority.. she’s amazing. I would recommend her to anyone. I was laughing the entire time with her.
