Very poor experience at this store over stovetop burner liners and pans. I would give the store a zero. I will be the first to admit that I made the mistake of purchasing the wrong size. Since I obviously still needed the correct size, I entered the store with the intention of returning the original and purchasing the correct size. I was told that due to the dirt & wear/tear on the product tags, I could only have an exchange. (Please see photos of items I was trying to return.) I asked the shift manager Robert to walk with me to the aisle to show him that this is the exact condition I purchased them in. He said he would send someone but would not go himself. He made me feel as if I was conducting some shady busy over a $10 item. I walked over myself and brought two items. The items on the shelves are covered in dirt, understandably since it is probably not a commonly sold item. I made it clear that I had planned to return the wrong one and buy the correct one, but the whole experience just made me want my money back. I was met with disgust. I asked to speak to a superior and Robert pointed at the wall (see photo). The phone number for the manager's extension just rings and rings. I understand that it is a big company and Robert is probably underpaid, but that is not how you treat a customer. Ultimately I did get a refund, but was asked to provided photo ID, which was rather strange. I was also asked to sign some voucher that I was not provided a copy of. I did take a photo. Is that store policy for Canadian Tire? As I was leaving, an older customer was asking the customer service staff for help to check him out. He was also dismissed away toward self-checkout, with which he looked like he was having trouble with when I left. Poor experience.

Bought a pressure cooker from another Canadian tire, it’s not working after few months. When I purchased the cooker, staff told me I can exchange in store within one year. Took the defective cooker to store for exchange, the Canadian tire store which I originally purchased does not have stock, but checked that this Canadian tire has many, so I came. But the store/retail manager named Chris, said he cannot accept the exchange because I had exchanged before. I told him it is still within one year, and previous exchange was because cooker malfunction. Chris told me he need to discus with management and told me to come back next day or any day during weekday 8am to 5pm. I told him it is not possible for me because I have to work. (Of course he does not care). Canadian tire does not respect the return policy they promise to customer. Chris was rude, no customer service skill, he did not even ask me what’s wrong with the cooker. I left the store with the defective cooker.

Worst return policy I have ever seen. We bought tower fan from this store, which ofcourse they don't show you demo at time of purchase so we were told at time of purchase that if you want to return you can do in 90 days, if unopened but if opened then you can get store credit. We were okay with it and bought the fan but we didn't liked the fan speed so after 2 days we went there to return and take store credit as we got different brand fan in same price with higher speed from walmart. Firstly, staff was rude they bluntly told us that you only have option to exchange or you can buy something else but only in home appliances section. We told them to give us credit and explained that we will surely buy something in future as right now we don't have anything to purchase but they refused and said our policy don't allow, I am not sure why their representative told us at time of purchase that you can get store credit. *You don't show demo. *You don't allow return. *You don't allow store credit. Then what's the diff between in-store purchase and online purchase. Just let us know how can we judge the fan speed by looking at pictures on packing.

My husband and our babies favorite place to get stuffs. A fun place for the girls to look around checking out toys and back home with some snacks even me always had something back home too. Very clean and organized, easy to look for whatever we want. Even their website is easy to use for us. The staffs are always nice and helpful. Many things that my husband wanted always in good deal and cheaper than other places. Plus close to my place so convenient.

This store is an absolute nightmare when it comes to anything regarding customer service. The "customer service" counter had two lineups leading to the exact same register, and there was no organization by management whatsoever. I had to wait roughly 10 minutes just to get to the front of the counter, and then was informed by one of the customer service reps that I could only exchange the item since I did not have my receipt. I went and grabbed a replacement item, and then had to wait 15 minutes again in the exact same lineup to complete my exchange. I eventually reached the front, and was then informed by a different customer services rep that I couldn't exchange the product entirely due to a lack of receipt! I was not frustrated by the policy, but rather, the lack of communication I received which resulted in a huge amount of my time wasted. I wish I had been told my the first sales rep that I wouldn't be able to exchange my item, especially after I had intentionally stated the fact that I didn't have my receipt! It would have saved me a lot of time. I would avoid this store at all costs! Save yourself the time and effort and go to a different Canadian Tire location.

Found the item I wanted online when I entered the store I asked customer service where to find it was told isle #. After spending a good amount of time looking for the item I returned to customer service was told they would send someone to assist me and to return to the isle after returning I waited for 10 min no one showed up again I returned to customer service they said the would send someone again when I return I found the nearest call for assistance button and pressed it, after another fifteen minutes I left the store without receiving help. Store was in disarray and no employees were to be found anywhere other than the till and service desk. Please hire enough people to staff the location

Worst customer service. Today i went there girl at counter scanned one item but it didn’t went in my bill i checked my bill because i feel its low so i see one item was not added so i went in again so i can pay but girl at store pickup and customer service was having worst attitude because when i went inside i told her that i want to pay for item it was my honesty but when u went in i saw that bulb which i bought missed one so i told her that there is only three bulbs so she was like oh so. Like so what firstly i am came to pay and secondly i already paid for those 4 bulbs so, definitely its my right to ask for that. Today i felt so bad that how she treated which she shouldn’t be in any means. This is reality nowadays doesn’t matter how good you are people going to behave how they feel they don’t see good in you . 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bought a defective cooking pot (not round) in Maple Ridge Store. Took back to the 7599 King George Store as I was down there. Would not take it back as they said it was not re-saleable. I said of course it is defective. Manager was dismissive and told me to talk to head office if I was not happy. Took the pot back to Maple Ridge store and they took it back with no questions. Thank You. Please go out of your way not to buy anything at the King George store.

Terrible customer service and management. I waited half an hour to get into an car electronics cage. I asked a bunch of employees to help only to have all them say I can't help you. Finally I found a manager who opened the cage but after he opened it he told me to wait in a line next time. I realize the car department was busy but anybody could have went to the person with the key so they could have opened the cage. And the manager could have been professional and not egocentric by simply just opening the cage. A real leader is always willing take on any task. And a good employee is capable of taking initiative when needed.

I went to buy a treadmill - staff just couldn’t understand that and kept insisting I buy it online. If I wanted to buy it online I would of. After speaking to the manager finally able to buy it online (1.5 hours later). Ask to get it delivered and services. Nope that service isn’t offered according to staff there. Go home and look online and wait apparently Canadian Tire does offer that service. Purchase the service. Long wait to get it delivered but I book it. Day of delivery technician goes to pick up treadmill and Canadian Tire says your treadmill is not here to the technician. Absolutely the worst customer service there. 3 weeks later - no treadmill, my call to get it delivered is escalated. Today’s adventure will be to get a return on the treadmill (it’s still at Canadian tire). I absolutely cannot tell you how bad of an experience this has been. The amount of hours, going there, buying it, calling to confirm it was getting delivered. Several calls on date of delivery asking why the tech never came, being open hold for 45 mins each time. Absolutely not worth it. Don’t go to that Canadian tire - worst service I have ever received!!!

Cheaters. I parked my car. And spend some time in business area, including Canadian Tire. Have received ticket (at 8.50 a.m, when I just parked) for 86 even though was written that is it allowed to park for 3 hours. Liars and cheaters. Don't ever visit them

I drove 30 mins to this store to return a gift I received. It says on the receipt “A store credit will be issued when returning a product with gift receipt”. The Nespresso machine I was returning was completely brand new sealed, never been opened. It’s also within the return policy. This store doesn’t want to honor what it says on the receipt as I wanted a store credit. They will only let me exchange for a different item but I didn’t have time to shop at that moment. The store manager named “March” or Mark Espiritu? (Filipino man or woman, I couldn’t tell, he/she had blonde hair) was rude and rolled his/her eyes at me when I showed him what it says on the receipt that I can return for store credit. The other customer service lady named Aman was polite about it. Apparently this store has their own policy and doesn’t follow Canadian Tire’s general return policy. I tried calling the general manager of the store as advised by the rude store manager and called many times and doesn’t even answer. Went to another Canadian store at Scott road after and they were able to give me store credit no problem.

Horrible experience at this location as always. No cashier's, only self checkout available. Plus there was something off on the scales and the self checkout attendant was constantly having to clear the machines. My wife was accosted leaving the store by security. Why? Because she has a cane and couldn't manage her bags without the cart so she got permission to take the cart to her car. Guy demanded receipts and was rude and refused to listen to anything my wife had to say. Every time we come to the king George and 75th location it's always something. Rude staff, absent staff, whatever. We avoid this store at all costs now. Will do my best to never come back. Even if I have to go 20 blocks out of the way. Would give zero stars if I could

No Backpack Policy - Today was the second time I was asked to check my backpack at the service desk. I get it... it's a method to reduce thefts. I'm not upset about that. My issue is the inconsistent and illogical application of the policy. Some days they do let me in the store with my backpack, others not. When I agreed to check my back in at the service desk, they were unable/unwilling to do an inventory of the bag and give me a receipt. I had purchases from the Apple store in there. Meanwhile other shoppers were walking around with large shopping bags, oversized purses, etc. Their signage states they reserve the right to inspect bags. Great. I'm all for that. Inspect away. But to restrict only one style of carrying-device, inconsistently, and not provide a way of certifying contents, is why I now shop at Home Depot and WalMart, not CT. EDIT on 15 Dec, 23 after response from CT: Thanks, but not interested in yet another scripted, corporate explanation of the policy.. as mentioned above, I have no issue with the policy per se, but the inconsistent application of it, and the lack of full circle procedures. If you want customers to check their backs at the service desk, you need to give the full sense of security to the customer, not just the store. Provide short time use lockers. Put a full time, dedicated person on the storage, not just distracted cashiers. If requested, provide an in/out inventory and receipt. Take it full cycle. That would be impressive and applaudable.

My experience about this starts with difficulty in finding the location of the store. Although it is placed on King George boulevard the entry is from 76 avenue. I have never been to any Canadian tire earlier but the store feels cramped and congested. There are a lot of good products which are uniquely sold by Canadian tire at good rates. I ended up purchasing stuff worth 400$. But the low rating is due to the fact that their customer service is pathetic. I needed a product which was placed on the topmost shelf of the auto wall section. The first executive I asked told me to contact auto desk section. After I got hold of a girl from the auto section she saw the product and told me she will get a ladder. She never came back during the 40-44 min I spent there. Then there was another person whom I asked what's happening and he informed me that there was another guy who should have come back from break 25 min ago but has not. Skipping approx 30 min ahead I was still asking for someone to help me out. Finally the manager arrived with a ladder and I had to help him unload from the shelf. I didn't rant or anything but nobody even bothered to say sorry, thank you for your patience. If I had a choice of other store with same products I would definitely skip this one.

Used to be very good and nice place to go to buy from. Lately costumer service became.. makes me feel that they are making me a favor to sell me auto parts or anything from this branch. Literally the Clerks told me to go to Langley to buy what I needed. Just because I said this place became not pleasant to come to.. Langley is still making the costumer welcome. The manager is also needs some training how to solve the issues. We were 2 costumers complaining & he just flushed both of us. For now just stick and go Langley branch guys.**..

Update: Downgrading my review about the automotive service department. Went there to diagnose the high fuel consumption and exhaust leak issue with my car. They did not even acknowledge nor even try to look into it. It was almost as if they weren't even interested. I took note and walked out the door disappointed. This was my last visit. Will not recommend.

So I went there to buy a treadmill, I didn’t find it there and asked an employee to help me he said I can’t help you. Then I called assistance twice from of their assistance screen. Nobody came I asked one more employee to help me after waiting 30 minutes then nobody came and at the last I asked one more boy he had a positive energy to help but he didn’t find the thing he spent like 20 to 25 minutes but couldn’t find it and kept saying 2 minutes and went somewhere and never came back and after almost 1 hour 30 minutes we left store empty hands. So disappointed

It's impossible to talk to someone from Auto services on the phone. They never answer. It's very frustrating. Out of habit I always buy my tires here, but I'm seriously considering shopping around for a better customer service.

Really poor service. My dad (senior) had purchased an item from this location. Ended up purchasing something else from Walmart, which was of a better value. He went in to return item purchased from Canadian Tire (unused with tags). There was a crack on the top, which neither he had noticed when purchasing, nor the teller. Rather than taking the word of the customer on a 30$ item, and considering this can be a defective unit. Their manager pointed finger to a senior, coming to a conclusion that he had cracked the top and now he is looking to defraud them. Unbelievable really!! He left handing over the item to the store, without a refund. Manager doesn't respond to calls or returns messages. Egocentric staff, and overall not a well managed location.

I spent $1500 getting new tires and was impressed with the senior mechanic that I dealt with as well as the girl at the counter so I thought I would come back and give them more business. It’s been a week now of leaving phone messages to customer service and to the service department, and no one even returned my phone call if you can’t handle the amount of business that you have Then tell everybody to go somewhere else because that’s what I’m doing anyway having no business is just as bad as having too much. Very frustrating when a company can’t even return a third phone message to a customer within a week! I’m going somewhere else and I suggest you all do as well and manager, Don’t send me message now Apologising or telling me to give you a call because that’s even worse customer service after the fact! Your competitors thank you for not getting back to your customers in a timely manner.

Horrible. They don't take refunds even afywe 2 days. They gave me the wrong break pads and wouldn't take them back. What do you think I did. Use the break pads for 2 days, remove them from my vehicle and returned them. Will never shop here again. Easier to go elsewhere. The employees act like the refund is coming out of their own pockets.

Waited here for atleast 20 mins with literally nobody even coming close to the counter .Pressed that silly useless thing they have on the counter several times. They leave the counter free and expect customer to search for employee in the whole store. Really bad experience 6th October 2021 - 5.02pm

My freind had some issues at this store and posted a review. "The customer care" response was to call a number. She was on a long hold and the "customer care" person kept asking for her phone number and name. Why do you leave numbers so the customers can waste more time? Because the number just leads to a big catch all. Does "customer care" think that they look responsive and "caring" by leaving a number that just takes the caller nowhere?🤔

Place is very good full of items but very poor customer service . I wanted to buy few items and find a good knowledgeable person to get the customer support know one help me, less staff, doesn't have a knowledge about products, know technical knowledge, new staff only know the ile numbers, those are also not right. So many items in the store but very poor customer service to find items.

clean and organized, friendly staff just need more of them. Getting a cabinet open is faster at this location then at some of the others but there are only so many employees. Canadian Tire should look at hiring newly retired knowledgable workers that can offer a lifetime of experience to aid your customers in product choice/application for their projects. Lighting, paint and plumbing are particular areas that would benefit.

Canadian Tire isn't where I would choose if I was planning on spending good money on high quality products. However, while you may not be getting but it for life quality here, you also aren't paying that top dollar. You are likely to find what you need at a good price. As for this particular location, I have found the staff to be helpful and friendly during one of my rare forays.

While picking up my order I wanted to return 2 items I had purchased previously online as gifts. The Items were 2 Yukon Gear hunting jackets that had been greatly reduced in price. The jackets were never worn and still had all the tags on them and I had the original bill. We were advised by the manager that as per store policy we could not return them because of covid 19 rules. I advised the manager that we were not told this when we picked them up (from a different store) and this is contrary to the return policy on the bill. He stated he was sorry but they could not take back items such as the jackets or masks or pillows that someone had slept on. I advised I could understand the masks and used pillows not being returned but 2 new jackets were not the same thing. The manager stated that if they took the items back they would be thrown out for safety reasons and explained it was their store policy and we should take them back to the store we picked them up at. The jackets were picked up from a store in Victoria and we were now in Surrey. We continued to discuss this with the manager for over 10 minutes and he would not budge. He advised it was the store owners policy and it could not be altered. We asked to speak to the store owner and advised this was not possible. After a very frustrating time at the front desk I requested that my 2 jackets be returned to me and that I would be writing a very unpleasant review of this store. The manager then said perhaps he could call someone. After several more minutes the manager returned to us and stated he would refund our money. He went on to say that in his opinion the jackets were not used and that some customers use clothing items and then try to return them. I suggested that Canadian Tire should deal with those individuals and not have a blanket policy that alienates honest customers. We left with our money returned but very unhappy with our treatment.

You never really know how important customer service is until you experience bad customer service and these guys are some of the worst. Had purchased an item that was defective and they would not refund me so I exchanged it and the second unit was also defective. At that point any decent person would understand and give a refund but they refused and told me I could exchange towards another item. I had to purchase from somewhere else because I did not want to deal with them anymore. Why wont they just give me my money back. Online support is no help. Be aware when making purchases here. Also, don't bother calling the number they will ask you to call in their reply because they will waste more of your time with the same excuse

My heart is sad regarding the Canadian Tire store a Newton. I went into the store last week Friday to make a quick purchase. The store atmosphere is unpleasant and unfriendly comparison to a several years ago. Back then I looked forward to shop at this location. Now, I would not consider going to that location to buy a glass of water. I was asked to leave by bags at the customer service counter. Although that was unnerving but it's okay. The store was unkept and felt unclean. If I were to close my eyes and open it, I would not believe I am in a store in Canada. Overall my shopping experience was unpleasant.
