Good school. My favourite teacher was this guy in 02' if I recall correctly. His name was what... Travis Smith?? My daughter goes to the same school and she tells me that he gives her lots of extra credit. She was at a 50 in Math 9, 52 Math 10, 51 Math 11, and a 97 Math 12 with him. Phenomenal teacher! God bless extra credit! 😀

To be fair this is a problem faced by all of the schools in our district, but it's a problem non the less. My problem with the school is that it exceeded it's designed maximum capacity decades ago, so they have to compensate for it with 7 portables and non common lunch blocks. I think it's stupid how the district is not allowed to build schools based on projected enrollment and I think it's stupid how they have 1500 students crammed into a building that was never designed to hold more than 800. Also almost everyone (including several of my teachers) say that Best is a ghetto school.

Wonderful experience had. Their library was spacious to have an oration and Q&A with students.

As a former student at this school. I can happily say that that 4 years of torture almost made me take my own life. You can't even go to the washroom without there being a fight or some other illegal activities. The admins need to enforce the rules better. Avoid putting your kids in this school.

School has a very good soccer team & support. Soccer turf is great too. Mundy Park is across the school with lots of trails. Enough Parking spaces as well. Few teachers I had a chance to talk too (specifically the science teacher) were highly engaged to their job and concerned about every individual sitting in his class. Rarely there were some sort of religious approach I heard was happening or sometime there is sort of political advertisement (ndp! or whatever), I feel based on what words is spreading in school via principle or others which they should be more careful!

Terrific math experience. I was a student a few years back; my math skills were a travesty until Mr. Smith's class. He tossed my old math misconceptions like a salad. Him and his peer tutor had great chemistry, they drilled math into my brain. Extracurricular sessions and extra credit was always present if needed. The after-school help was incredible. In university, many of my acquaintances failed Calc 1 but I passed with flying colors thanks to Mr. Smith and the institution of Dr. Charles Best.

Terrible school. You'd end up living your secondary life under depression out there.

I go to Charles best and I love this school all the teachers are very professional. And the vice principles are great and especially Mr. Murphy the principle she is a great person she always motivates me and helps me when i need it.
