I miss when the store was HIV, first time coming back since they changed the name. Didn't see a single picture of a sunrise or a sunset but all was forgiven when I was able to chat with the wonderful staff. Super Knowledgable and friendly and they follow covid protocols well. The tall handsome manager and the petite green haired beauty remind me of batman and Robin, to find out who is which you just have to stop on by and see them in action. If I could rate it 69/10 I would.

I had a terrible experience coming to this place as of recently, I thought it may have just been a stressful season for the workers but I was treated with blatant disrespect by a young man on multiple occasions, have felt uneducated and uncomfortable to ask questions about some of the cds I was searching for due to the fact he seemed highly uninterested in me. It’s a shame to see a place that was one of my go to stores in the mall as of 2 years fall out of place within the past few months..Lost a customer man.😡

Very friendly staff , and decent selection of vinyl records . They also have a fairly large Funko pop selection , and other cool toys/collectibles that I was surprised to find . Very fun store to browse around in and check out .

Second time in this week. Both times no greeting from the workers. Even though I was browsing for quite some time. Bad service. Bought a record & poster but absolutely no offers from staff to help in anyway or even say hi…when I was ready to pay I had to call “hello?” To the girl because she left the store & desk unattended to go to the back & I was waiting. I let her know this was my second time in this week with this experience.

If you're looking for stuff that's off the beat and path like CDs, records, blu-rays or DVDs, anime among many other things, this is the place to be.

Ever since the rebranding of the store, the atmosphere has completely changed. I've only seen one staff member working there and whenever someone enters the store, all you get is a rude look and it feels as if I'm bothering them. I once was looking for a specifric CD and as I approached the store, the staff member closed the store and put a sign up saying he'd be back in an hour (assuming he was taking a break). It was faster for me to drive to metrotown to find the CD than wait an hour so thats what I did. Other than that, the supply of the store seems the same as it was before, so not too bad.

Discrimination at its finest! Every others store in the mall excepts masks exemptions but this place. Don't support those who comply with tyranny! As for your response, not true at all and your employee was extremely rude about it. Stop discriminating and stand up for the rights of Canadians. Will never support this business.

Nice people but store should have more movies by Criterion!

Bought "Doctor Sleep" for the digital download but it had expired 2 years before I even got it so I tried calling in a few times since I live somewhat far away but I don't think anyone answers the phones there.

During Covid...the workers were HORRENDOUS....Once no masks, one of the guys was super chill and helpful.

It's ok. Sometimes they have stuff that you want. Not the best prices but it's close and open regular hours unlike most shops that have crazy funky hours. Everything is well organized here

Very disappointed on Sunrise today. Always my go to record store. Went in for New Bryan Adam's CD which they had. $14.99 Also wanted the Bryan Adam's Christmas CD which says in stock online. But the guy said he can't order it cause it's a seasonal CD 🤔🙈 So was a bit ticked off. Went to Walmart bought for $13.97. And ordered the Christmas CD from Amazon

I’ve been going to sunrise records since late 2017 and every time I went its always been a pleasant experience. Theres friendly staff and a friendly environment which is always an important part of a store I’d even call this my second home. They don’t always have everything in stock but most of the time i find what I’m looking for. Out of all of the sunrise record store I’ve been through out Canada this one is by far my favourite one.

Beware of the staff’s tendency to add price stickers from much more recent and more expensive albums to old albums. When confronted they get very defensive and first pretend to be blind in an attempt to say the name on the sticker and the album match, which they obviously do not, and then brush off with a phrase, “Well they’re the same price” without consulting the computer catalogue. As I had no desire to argue with these people, who were far from friendly, I just paid and went on my merry way but I am never shopping there again.
