Foodgasms for Foodies. Tucked in the back alley behind York and Rice Wood, you’ll walk up to a trailer with a couple amazing chefs preparing some of the most explosive tasting bao you’ve ever had. The secret ingredient is Love ❤️ My favorite is the Pork Belly, least favorite is the Spam. You won’t be disappointed unless you show up on Sunday or Monday, because they’re closed. Get there at 11:30 , because it’s sold out quickly.

I have had better bao in Richmond, VA, but nevertheless, these bao were good. My favorite was the Bao Mi. Both the gentlemen working the truck were extremely friendly and the food was ready within five minutes. The best item we had was the loaded fries. The chimichurri sauce combined with the cheese on the fries was absolutely delicious. Hats off to whoever devised that recipe. The bao truck is outside, but you can enjoy your food inside The York, which provides a great, relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your food. The man serving us explained all that to us after we ordered. We were happy to enjoy our food inside. I would definitely return to Bao Boys again.

I enjoyed trying the food here. The loaded fries were hands down my favorite choice. I tried the pork belly, chatsu and mushroom options. The buns are absolutely pillowy and amazing. The pork belly here is hit or miss. The last time it was definitely miss, which was disappointing. The other 2 options were great. I loved the mushrooms. I don't like that they verbally ask people how much they want to tip - I think that tacky. The outdoor seating area is really nice.

Absolutely incredible! If I could go over a 5 stars I would. Each bao was completely different in flavor, yet all amazing.

Always extremely flavorful and well prepared. Very fast service as well. It's great to be able to get drinks and other snacks from the York inside, too!

A friend and I stopped by the Bao Boys food truck at the Ann Arbor Art Fair. We were a little disappointed there were only 4 bao options to choose from but we understood that the full menu for a large event would not be possible. There was an option not listed on the Bao Boys website which felt like a bonus. There were only 2 people working but things moved relatively fast. The food was delicious and I will be going to the main location to try other menu items.

I am glad that I have bumped into this place and gave it a shot. It is perfect if you don’t want a big heavy meal, but if your super hungry then buy more food. Bao buns here are always great, soft, fluffy and just the right texture, I have never gotten a bad bun. They have several boa buns that can be picked with their options of meats, masubi, bowls and even fries. Everything is made to order so it will take a little bit of time especially if theres a lot of people here. Ahh, I forgot to mention this isn’t a standard restaurant facility but more like a food truck. But the parking isn’t too bad and it’s free. Everything that I’ve tried so far has been delightful and steaming with flavor. I’m sure you won’t be able to buy just one bun, try them all. They even have a vegetarian option with mushroom and that was pretty good as well. I’m seen this place slightly busy to full on get in line now busy. I think it can be worth the wait and if you want to hang around, there are plenty of seats situated outside.

It takes some effort to find good bao in Michigan. This place also requires a small amount of effort to find and park, especially if you're not from the area. If you are from the area, these remarks are not for you. You already have three options for Bao, at the least nearby. Bao Boys is the best option, by far, in the state of Michigan. It's worth the drive, it's worth eating in your car, and you will eat it in your car. It's beyond your imagination, is that good. It's worth a pilgrimage.

My daughter asked me to buy her this, I had to drive for an hour and it was really worth it! The smell caught me since I arrived at the place, I love the simplicity of your menu, in the flavors there is the magic! And the price is reasonable.

Absolutely amazing flavor. Was a little skeptical given how small they were but the flavor definitely made up for it. I got the spicy pork buns and they were delicious. I even considered going back to get a 3rd one! A little pricey for the size of each one but definitely worth a visit.

It wasn’t bad, but I didn’t really like anything I got either. The food was too salty for me and I thought the spicy pork tasted a bit like buffalo sauce, which I do not enjoy. It was a good thing they gave a lot of napkins though, since one of the bao buns fell apart.

I kept seeing these on TikTok and Instagram, so while I was in the area for work, I decided to stop and get some. I got the Chashu, Chicken Sausage, The Shorty, and the Shroomy Bao's. They did not disappoint! They were also super quick getting my order together. I don't even think I waited 10 minutes before they called my name. Totally worth it to stop and get some.
