I booked this hotel only because I needed a full sleep and the reviews said the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The price was super reasonable. I had never heard of this hotel. My expectations were beyond met. I have a young baby and haven't had a full sleep in eternity. The check in was quick and friendly, the decor is unique and the option of breakfast and dinner there is a great perk. I almost died of happiness using the shower with rainfall head. The room had a yoga ball, foam rollers and some other equipment and it was so necessary. The bed was awesome and I slept like an angel. I really wish more hotels took a glance here and get ideas. I was able to get a freshly made breakfast, no continental thawed baked goods. I needed this stay and I will definitely stay again.

Meg, the GM, get super upset when you complain and makes you feel super uncomfortable. I am never gong back to that hotel again. I feel bad because It was a great hotel, however when they put you in a room that is not what you booked or when you complained about being clean. Not worth it, they put me in a smoking room that wasn’t even clean.

Great hotel! Has a very new feeling with lots of amenities. Loved the excess of regular and usb outlets, excess of adjustable lighting and electronic shades. The furniture in the room all feels newish and of high quality. The gym and spa/pool areas also exceeded expectations. On top of that the price was reasonably affordable, would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in this area!

Booked two rooms on a recent family trip. Front desk staff were pleasant. Both rooms were clean and modern. Kids enjoyed the work out equipment in the room and we all liked the neat mood lighting features. We also enjoyed the nicer than average soaps/shampoos. Location is a bit farther from the main part of the UMich campus, if that is reason for your travel, but with a car, it was not an issue. There is a lot of parking available. Hotel is also a walking distance from a mall with restaurants and snack options. Overall, a very nice stay.

Room was nice and clean, staff was friendly but that's about as far as the positives went. Lobby smelled like the pool, very overpowering. We got settled into our room after a long drive, got cleaned up and headed to restaurant downstairs. Completely deserted and lights off, at 5:45PM! Front Desk Staff just told us 30mins before that the restaurant was open and would be open until 10PM. Nope, nobody in sight. Staff member finally approached us and said kitchen was closed and would not open until morning for breakfast. He also said we could go next door to The Kensington and their restaurant, Re•Lish, was open and was "way better in his opinion". Super happy that we did because it was great food. Really disappointed in our stay (other than our dinner at the neighboring hotel).

Very nice hotel, received a generous veteran discount for a Deluxe King Suite. Did not have the exercise bike in the room as advertised, and we only had one small waste basket in the bathroom. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again. Attention to detail was obvious, and the cleanliness was outstanding!

Our stay at Even Hotel was excellent. We came to town for the Michigan football game. Upon check in we were informed about the shuttle to the stadium and many other recommendations for the area. Cassidy will go above and beyond for guests, and treat you like family. Other employees such as Maddie and Jaylin are assets to this hotel as well! I’ve never stayed at an hotel where all the employees treat guests with such kindness. It was refreshing! Already planning our next trip to Ann Arbor and will absolutely stay here again!

We needed an overnight stay somewhere to help us get through the power outage with our toddler and newborn. We thought for sure it was going to be very busy, and possibly loud because of the circumstances. However, we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our stay! The pool area was great, not too crowded. We appreciated the supplied towels. Staff were friendly throughout the whole process of booking, checking in/out, especially Meg. Hotel was clean and modern. We would stay again and are appreciative that we were able to get rooms!

What a nice surprise this place was! Had heard of IHG. Hadn't heard of EVEN. I imagine the IHG brand is what gives this place its quality. Traveling overnight with two dogs; many places accept dogs but do not take large dogs. This place was not only accepting but WELCOMING! To us people, also. Cleanest place I've been in lately, vinyl plank flooring so no carpeting fears. Huge amount of space to move around in- I think it was an accessible room, so perfect and sized nicely for that situation. Have to say the remote-controlled window shade was the BEST light filter I've ever had in a room. Noticed a tiny fridge tucked away under the TV. Very friendly host staff at the front desk and otherwise. Good locking-door policy, made me feel safer taking the dogs out in the middle of the night. More than a few spots to circle around with the dogs, also a closed sears store across the mall boulevard made for a good "dog park" experience! This hotel is within the Briarwood Mall proper, walkable to Von Maur and other stores. There is a sundries shop off the lobby where you can apply charges to the room, with coffee and snacks. Didn't try the restaurant except for the coffee but it's nice to have a tiny bar if you want an evening drink- even to take to your room. We'd stay again in a heartbeat and will also search out EVEN properties elsewhere.

Sylvia or Silvia! Hope I spelled it correctly! Was amazing! I stay in hotels almost every other week . I’m a platinum elite IHG reward member and I was treated to such a wonderful fun experience with her. The joking back and forth made my long day better at the end. The witty back forth banter between us was a breath of fresh air. When I’ve not always encountered such great service. Usually you can tell when someone enjoys their job and she definitely does! I come to Ann Arbor once a month and usually stay at holiday inns but the even hotel is so much nicer and newer. They have a hot tub too! Big plus! She was the icing on the cake! I hope to see you again next time through Sylvia/Silvia! And give me my friends smartwatch back too! Haha! Inside joke!

The hotel is ok 👌🏽 4/5 cleanliness 4/5 location 3/5 service Breakfast is not included even if it’s stated in your reservation You have to make the sofa bed by yourself The pool is impossible to use due to very high chlorine levels, it’s impossible to breathe in the pool area The wardrobe is inside the washroom 🫣 Otherwise the hotel is good.

Amazing stay! Got a great deal on a suite so Logan could have some of his own space. The room was super comfortable, but what really made the stay was the people! Sylvia and Noriah at the front desk were FNTASTIC!!! Warm, friendly, helpful, add your own positive adjective!!! And Meg, the GM of the hotel was super helpful in giving me things to see and do while Logan was in camp. The staff in the restaurant were also super friendly (eberyone here has been). I can't recommend this particular hotel enough for a comfortable and enjoyable hotel experience.

Room was small with shower/tub hard to get into without hitting head on overhead rail. Closet door is behind bathroom door so had to close one to open other. Hot tub had way to much chemicals. Gym is decent.

I had an amazing experience here. The staff was super friendly and helpful in both morning and night. I had forgot to take toothpaste and gave me a couple of complimentary toothpaste packets. The food was amazing (I was only able to get the breakfast,I never made it to the dinner). It’s right next to the mall you could walk to it. The bathroom was great the water pressure was high. This is a premium place.

The hotel is beautifully simple and very clean. The staff, from front desk to housekeeping are all extremely kind, and helpful. The entire hotel is well put together and they have workout equipment in every room. This is a fabulous place to stay!

Adjacent to other hotels and near a mall, this hotel has been recently renovated with a fitness theme. The room was spacious and the lighting fun. However, it lacks creature comforts like carpeting, and the location next to the highway is quite noisy.

Hotel was in great shape, clean, good amenities. Room was ready at 1:30PM which on Michigan game-day was a blessing as we were able to head right to the stadium. Staff were helpful and friendly on every encounter. I am very pleased with my stay and recommend the hotel to others heading to Ann Arbor for a Michigan game. 25 minute walk to and from the stadium.

This is an old Holiday Inn rebranded as Even Hotel and unfortunately the face lift is barely even cosmetic. The corridor ceiling height is maybe 7’ - my 5’3” mother could touch it without even standing on tiptoe. The rooms are a little better than the corridors, but the athletic theme is a little kitschy without much real utility. The lighting is soft and pleasant though, especially in the bathroom, but the hot water is a long time coming. The walls are paper thin and you hear everything going on as well. If at all possible, I would not stay here again on future visits, it’s just a little too old and dated despite the improvements.

Who wouldn't want to stay here? The clerk at the desk was so amazingly friendly, explained exactly what a "wellness hotel" meant and what was included in the room price. Starting your day with a superfood smoothie is clutch. The water bottle was awesome to fill with ice overnight and have cold water in the morning, and the option to get a workout in was very nice. The room was subject to the road noise mentioned in a different review but wouldn't stop me from staying here again and loving it!

This hotel is very very nice. There’s a pool and hot tub which of course is amazing. There’s also a workout machine and yoga ball in each room which I find kinda weird but I’m sure lots of people would love that. The staff is super friendly and helpful and they have some fancy waters in the lounge area by the door. The only downside is that it’s kinda far from downtown but if you have a car it’s only a couple min drive away.

Not a good experience. Hotel was fine. I was put in a room on a floor with several college kids who I was informed were staying there for a couple weeks because dorms were closed for the holiday, it was like a frat party with loud music and people wandering the halls. I got moved to a different room, upgraded to a suite by the front desk who said they wanted to “make it right”. I had originally booked and prepaid through a third party but was asked to provide a card for incidentals if I needed to charge to my room which I didn’t. I woke up to a large charge on my debit card, well above the rate I prepaid already. I was told they made a mistake however there was nothing they could do about the second charge other than initiate a refund that will take an estimated 3-5 business days. I was in town to pick my mom up from the hospital and buy her groceries for Christmas but the charge by this hotel depleted my account and I was left unable to do so. The only good thing I could say was the front desk clerk upon my departure who did her best to help me by making phone calls and speaking to management on my behalf. She was advised to tell me to try to work it out on my own with my bank at their local branch. The last business day before Christmas. Despite their acknowledgement they made a mistake. I won’t stay here again or recommend the brand for obvious reasons. Merry Christmas EVEN hotels, I know you’ve made mine unforgettable.
