It is a magical bookstore and cafe that is beautifully curated, labor of love, and super calm, relaxing, quaint spot. Amazing.

I had an amazing time getting coffee and looking around the bookstore. I was confused about what to get and the barista suggested a spiced mocha and I loved it. Friendly staff and amazing space. Definitely coming back.

Brown Mustache Coffee is a charming find with a fantastic patio in the back, ideal for soaking up some nature. The coffee and pastries are top-notch, adding to the appeal of this quaint spot. What makes it even more special is the cute attached bookstore, making it a perfect retreat for book lovers and those looking to spend a relaxing morning. Well worth a visit!

Absolutely PERFECT! At the back of a bookstore in historic Annapolis. The nicest Barista you could ever imagine with scones to die for. And plenty of books too!

I've visited twice in the past couple of years and each time, the coffee is so bitter that it's outright unpleasant. Instead of being bold and balanced, it's too much of a "good" thing. They also don't have plain sugar (only the raw sugar) or Sweet & Low in the pink packets. I guess they're trying to go all-natural. Last comment... and this is not only here but, oh so many coffee houses. When they allow people to camp out on their electronic devices long after they've finished their coffee, it really sucks for new customers coming in who want to have a seat for a short time (and actually talk to one another, not have their nose in a laptop). This happens constantly and I'm not sure why they don't have signs requesting a time limit so that others may enjoy the space. It could be nicely worded as a request, even, and not as a policy. Thanks, but I'll stay home for better coffee along with a place to sit.

Lovely, unpretentious surprise. We ordered cappuccino. Delicious! Made our morning memorable. Pretty garden to have a coffee and a scone.

A small cafe in the back of a small, but amazing, book store. We loved our cortado and cappuccino that we enjoyed while sitting at a small table in the back yard. It was shady and quiet, but mostly peaceful - a lovely place to sit and enjoy an afternoon beverage and maybe a good book or company. Definitely worth a visit!

Excellent coffee (ceremony roasters). No pastries at 7 as they arrive from a sister store closer to 8. Can’t beat the comfort with every choice of seats. And Books! Old And new!!! Bookstore and coffee shop are actually separate businesses in the same location.

Wonderful ambience and location on Maryland Avenue in the back of Old Fox Books, with access to the quaint porch and wooded backyard. The service itself is also great, so my only reason for four instead of five stars is that the lattes and cappuccinos (anything including milk) often are hit or miss, usually tasting quite strange and off. Perhaps they are using some strange hipster milk that I’m not familiar with. Fortunately, I tend to have luck by mainly avoiding the weird mystery milk, like with traditional European macchiatos, Americanos, and regular coffee. I hate how snobby this makes me sound, but it’s the truth!

Overall: Decent place for a good cup of coffee that has a quirky atmosphere and while it's a bit cramped, I'd possibly stop by again if I'm already walking around the area. Pros: The latte I received was certainly well made, the foam was spot-on and the art was fun. The quirky decorations were also appreciated and the outside patio is probably wonderful in the summer. Cons: The inside tables are cramped. Outlets are a bit scarce. Wifi doesn't extend to the basement. I certainly wouldn't come here to work. Parking is a pain. Special notes: There's a shop dog who's pretty friendly and a cute kid's playhouse in the shape of a book outside.

These guys are doing a great job. The lattes and scones were great. It’s a quaint place in the back of a bookstore, but once you find it you’ll experience great coffee ☕️.

The cutest place for coffee in Annapolis! The coffee is delicious and they have the good local milk, oat milk and use the compostable cups/lids😊 Beautiful garden and porch to sit. The best bookshop to browse. Love it❤

Entering this small store at the back of a bookstore, you get the feeling of stepping into a different, less hurried world. They used beans from local roasters. Both coffee and latte tasted great. The staff was low-key and friendly. Limited pastry selection (we didn't try).

Best cappuccinos with oatmilk. They froth and have beautiful designs when served. No one else can do that with oatmilk. Best barristas. They will happily customize drinks. Great atmosphere inside and out. The backyard garden is a hidden gem, a must-see in Annapolis.

I loved the seasonal pumpkin latte. Make sure to keep swirling the cup to prevent the last sips from being mainly spices and little latte.

Food/Drink quality for price: about the same for coffee drinks as other places, good quality! Atmosphere: inside a book store so it's super cozy! Noise level: not loud, pretty quiet Lighting: great natural light throughout Staff: friendly Cleanliness: yes! Seating: great outdoor seats under trees in backyard, large table inside and small tables, a few sofa chairs WiFi: yes, didn't check for speed

Hands down best coffee shop in Annapolis. Great drinks, comfy chairs, cozy bookstore, beautiful garden patio, and the staff are the best. Im here at least twice each week for a cortado or an iced coffee. Browse the books or walk around the garden while you wait!

The sweetest spot for coffee! Their coffees are amazing and their scones are the best. They nailed the coffee and bookstore vibe. Can’t wait to go back.

Really good coffee, with some baked goods (scones, muffins). There's a lovely garden in back if the weather is nice, and if not, sit inside and grab one of the lovely cards from the bookshop and write a letter to someone you haven't seen in a while.

The atmosphere! The flavors! The service! You can't go wrong here & you'll love the products available in the bookstore surrounding this welcoming coffee spot. Do yourself a favor and give it a visit if you're in Annapolis and you're a fan of coffeeshop drinks.

Not LGBTIA+ friendly. My friend and I walked in and the stares from everyone was a bit much. Delicious Drinks! So get take out. Scone was served cold. If you are looking for a quiet place not to talk, sit in silence then it's perfect! Including a place to work. Not a place you come with friends to catch up with.

Great, quiet and unique place. Full of books for browsing and buying, an outdoor area to sit and think and take in a little slice of whatever you want to imagine. Really enjoyed the barista and conversation on the local history, and comings and goings of historic Annapolis. Truly a little gem.

Delicious coffee place with a beautiful atmosphere. Pick up a book while you order favorite drink!

I absolutely LOVE this place. I came here for the first time today and was blown away by the shop itself, but also the service and quality of the food / drinks. They have lots of gluten free options! I came early in the morning so there was basically no one there (perfect for getting work done) The environment was very relaxed and cozy and there are SO MANY books! Definitely worth the 5 stars!
