Café Vanilla Bar

Really cozy and enjoyable Café with a good bar and surprisingly good food. They have a very large selection of different foods and drinks. Actually has some spicy food options, which can be difficult to find outside of very specific kinds of ethnic restaurants here in Germany.

Food was okay Service was good The state of the bathrooms was a disaster, I don't think I have ever seen a sink that dirty before in my life. As though it had not been cleaned in months. Hair around the faucet spider webs next to the sink. Moss growing around the drain, leaves you to wonder what their cleaning standards are like in the kitchen. Not a good look.

I had the Flammkuchen, which was great taste wise. Could have been in the oven just a bit longer, otherwise delicious. Nice staff, quick cooking. Quite empty around noon under the week and great Weekday deals on different types of food.

My experience with the food is not that good. Food was average. Service was good. According to my taste it's not up to my expectation.

Worst burger I’ve ever had. Buns were soggy from god knows what … patty looked deep fried and tasted charred …. Music reminded me of snipes … never stepping there again !

At first glance the place seems pleasant, but this impression quickly disappears. The atmosphere seems neutral until you enter the toilet full of spiders and the ceiling was covered in mold. The waiter does not know some items on the menu, otherwise he does the bare minimum and no more. The food was prepared and served quickly, I ordered a Gorgonzola schnitzel and a White Russian cocktail. The salad served with the schnitzel was delicious and the quantity was optimal. Although the portion of the schnitzel itself was big, it was rather a minus because it was soggy and chewy. A good sauce (but also not outstanding) was the only thing that tried to save the situation. The cocktail was bad, the proportions of ingredients were inappropriate. For more than 20 euros the quality could be much better even within a city like Giessen. I recommend choosing another place.

The toilet wall was covered in mould. I ordered a burger. The meat was rare, still bloody but charred on the outside. You could'nt even hold the burger properly. The buns became soggy because of all the blood from the patty. I seriously wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

In this review we begin with the toilet. Walls were molded, the ceiling were full of spiders. Food: i ordered Schitzel RP, it was overfried on top and in the middle was raw, only sauce could save the dish. The entire Restaurant is for Starbucks community, surely not recommended to visit.
