The service and ambiance are excellent, and the serving sizes are large and well-priced, but the actual sushi is average at best. It doesn’t taste like flavorful, fresh, or satisfying sushi - it tasted like training wheels sushi, or sushi for people who don’t really like sushi. Most rolls have multiple sauces on them to compensate for the flavorless rice and less than great quality fish. If you don’t normally like sushi, this might be a good spot for you to try it. But if you actually enjoy sushi, avoid this place.

We were excited to finally get some local Japanese food/ sushi. Wow, the staff did not care about the service. When we asked for a fork and plates the manager scowled at us. The chicken was cold, the soup came out after the meal. When this was all mentioned to the waiter, he didn’t care. We were told that the wash staff was not working hard. There were three tables… half of the staff was on their phones, sitting at a table. Another tables stated to us that they thought they were the only ones who were having problems until we mention that we got no service. When I mentioned this all to the waiter, he did not care and only swiped my card for payment. Management was horrible. Waiter was mediocre and the hot food was cold. I will never return. My company will never return. Anthem needs better. Never again. Go to Tru Burger. They actually care about their customers and quality of food and service. I was so excited to see Trappers Sushi in Anthem! I've eaten at their locations in Kent and Covington, Washington where it is well known as the best sushi. I was not disappointed and actually thought it was better here! Had the "Mt Rainier" roll which adds scallops (different slightly than another roll called the "Mountain" which adds shrimp), Samantha roll which was loaded with lobster and the Barackade. Also started with sashimi that was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this location and the service was awesome too! Thank you for being a gem in Anthem!

I have been stopping in here periodically since opening. As other reviews stated Service and atmosphere are good but food is not consistant. I have had sushi all over the valley and all over the USA. I stopped in again last night and sushi quality was sub par. I like the workers but sushi training and "the art" needs to be hardend at this location or this place will not survive... unfortunately. It should also not take 25 minutes to bang out 2 rolls 1 of which being a california roll when there are at least a few guys behind the sushi counter and its after 8pm.

Best sushi I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to a lot of high quality sushi places) my favorite roll is the mountain roll (shown in pic) and it usually cost $18 unless it is happy hour then, I think, Is $10. The fish tastes super fresh… one time they told us that they sometimes ship it overnight from Seattle! Customer service is amazing and the cleanliness of the restaurant is really nice! The all you can eat sushi bar is the best, but it does cost $40 per person (usually). Last time I went here they gave me free nascar 75th anniversary swag which was really cool! (Shown in pic) I highly recommend this place for teens and above (bc kids might not enjoy high quality sushi) Also, the puyallup roll is my 2nd fav roll… it is a fried roll that’s super good to eat when warm. There is many trappers sushi locations to go to which is nice too! Make sure to get there on happy hour bc there’s rly good deals!!!

Our family made it today , we are glad we did. The staff was really friendly and made our first time there very enjoyable. We went all in and try their buffet version. The different appetizers we tried were delicious, the miso soup and seaweed salad were my favorites. Their selection of Nigiri is good and the pieces we tried were excellent. My son enjoyed several rolls, to include the New York, veggie, rainbow and a crunchy one. They were excellent. I tried My Si, the Chrissy, rainbow, and Phoenix. They made me happy. The Chrissy is a vegetarian roll and was super delicious. My hubby tried about 4 rolls and was satisfied with everyone of them. My little girl enjoyed the rice and seaweed. They even have a special on the weekend were kids eat free with the purchase of a drink. In a few words , the food was excellent, flavorful, a huge variety to choose from and fresh. The staff was super friendly. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and getting to know the sushi Chefs . Our waitress was so informative and patient. I had received a recommendation to visit this joint before, and I am glad we did. I will definitely will return and bring friends. I wish I had taken more pictures, but i was busy enjoying my food.😊

My Fiance and I had the all you can eat dinner menu. The sushi was fresh and super yummy. The appetizers were a good size and delicious as well. We'll definitely be back soon.

I’ve eaten sushi from all over the states & this place is just what Anthem needed! Atmosphere was top notch. Lots of room, modern, and excellent service.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The other day I came here and ate at the sushi bar. The sushi was alright which isn’t why I’m writing this. The woman in the red apron is. She was being noticeably rude to the younger staff in the front. I honestly couldn’t believe that an establishment would hire someone so unprofessional, and for her to be able to work in the front at that. I was having a good time until witnessing such behavior. Honestly unbelievably. I hope those kids get better hire up, because it was sad to witness blatant bullying.

Went for the lunch AYCE with my 3 other people. Service was great and food came out quick. The taste of the rolls were great, the two that really made me "wow" was trapper and timmy. A few photos. We ate total of 20 rolls

By far the best all you can eat sushi, especially in this part of town. The smoked salmon nigiri is incredible!

Pretty basic layout but the food was good, decent happy hour prices(even on Sunday!) Our server was new but she did a fine job of taking care of us. Food did come out in stages which isn't the best but we were not in any hurry so not a problem for us.

I was stopping at Fry’s and had to give their sushi a try. The server recommended the Samantha, and I ordered to go. Eating it on the way home, it has a nice soft teriyaki sauce to go with the flavor. What’s in this, I wondered? The menu lists lobster and scallop. That explained the texture, it was a pretty good scallop. I’ll have to come back again for their other items. Thank you!
