5 stars because of the Bakery and the Delta view provided at this venue. Frankly most of Antioch is a place where one must often look over their shoulder — at least at Monica’s one can be at ease. The food is delicious, the staff while often a bit stretched is friendly & courteous, it has a diverse arrangement of places to dine and drink. The fire pits can be enjoyable on a chilly night or day especially with a drink in hand! While you may full indulgent don't let that hinder the good time to be had. They have live music which draws a crowd but that is great if your trying to enjoy an evening or socializing. Sundays are very busy after 10 a.m. onward. The bakery while not open Monday’s offers throughout the rest of the week a fine array of decadent treats that would make your trainer blush. It handily puts the competition in its place. A fine place indeed, that provides an escape which in my estimation is worth every penny!

Let me start with the food, since that's most of what people care about. It's good food, we tried the French Dip, Bruschetta, Garlic Fries, Pasta and more. Everything was good, but nothing was great food wise. But no one was unhappy with their order. The drink selection is solid, lots of draft beer options, and some tasty specialty cocktails. The Pineapple Martini is a standout for sure. The thing that makes this a 5 star is really the facility, location, and staff. The restaurant and bar are really well done. They are clean and comfortable and they look good. The outdoor patios are large and great, and of course the view is gorgeous. I'd definitely go again.

My family decided to celebrate my late granny's birthday. I am always skeptical of places with low star ratings, but I said to myself, try it anyway! Upon arrival it was hard to find, but I blame myself for that. I called to ask what they were by and the guy told me to go through a gate where it looks like you shouldn't hold through. ... oh okay 😕. ... the parking lot was small, but I found a park right away. They have a nice sized patio and the ambiance was cool. The menu items were few, but I ordered coconut prawns that were fried shrimp, with the slightest hint of coconut, served with an aioli instead of a sweet sauce; and garlic fies that I didn't get. I tried their raspberry margarita and a raspberry-mango margarita with Don Julio. .. they were good. I then ordered crispy chicken sliders and asked him to add the veggie toppings and to bring my fries out with them since I never received them. . ..this was also sub par. The best thing I ate was bread and butter. All of this including a 20% tip was $101 🙄😬 definitely not worth it. The brunch menu looked better, so maybe I'll try that.

Portions are great for price. All the food pictured below was delicious. The fruit was fresh and the whip cream on the waffle was great! The raspberry margarita was good. The Hawaiian mimosa was also sweet and yummy! We went on a Saturday morning and there was no wait time. The views are nice. They have a full bar! I enjoyed the food but it didn’t give me that wow factor I was hoping. Will come back to try their lunch options.

Delicious food, large restaurant with clean restrooms and friendly staff. That sums it up. We try to avoid the long lines (no reservations) on the weekends & visit weekdays early. I’ve never been disappointed. This time, 5 of us dined for my goddaughter’s 8th grade promotion. The service Ashley provided was 5 stars ⭐️. We’ll be back for sure!

This was my 1st experience coming to Monica's on the water. The view is amazing. We each ordered the breakfast combo plate. I ordered eggs, bacon & french toast. My lady ordered eggs, bacon & the banana walnut waffle. Our meals were delicious, and portions were plentiful, big! Our experience was excellent from the minute we first walked in. We were quickly seated, ordered drinks, and our meals were served in a reasonable time, even though they were busy. Our waitress was very attentive, checking in with us multiple times. All facets of our experience were 1st rate. We will be back and look forward to exploring more food options.

Amazing atmosphere. Bar opens indoors and outdoors so you can be sitting at it on either side. They have 2 outdoor eating areas and 2 indoor areas. There was a band there during Sunday brunch and a second band came after the first. We didn’t stay to hear the second band but the first one was very good and had 2 singers and 3 musicians. The food was amazing, I loved the strawberry lemonade too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to sit on the water, enjoy great food and music, and good service.

During my first visit, Parking lot can get full quickly but there are surrounding parking lots and street parking nearby. The vibe includes a beautiful view of the water and Antioch Bridge. Indoor and outdoor dining. The waiting time can be long but no fret, the waiting area also has a bar. The outdoor patio areas have outdoor heaters and some seating areas a fireplace. The beautiful decor fits the location. The bar area has live music in which you can hear as well if you're seated outdoors. The food was 💯! I ordered the banana nut waffle combo. Huge portions. Bottomless Mimosas in which you get 4 flights of flavors with a bottle of champagne and they keep it coming when you're ready for the next. Staff was friendly but because it gets so busy they can forget about you easily. But I enjoyed my first visit and will most Def be back.

So, let’s start with why this place lost stars… 1) Environment was super noisy and not conducive to conversation. If I wanted noise pollution, there would have been more convenient ways to get it. 2) I was served coffee in a chipped mug. Had I not paid attention, I could have cut my lip. 3) The guy positioned as the host forgot he was at work and gave attitude as though we were bothering him at home. - That said, the food was good and the waitress was kind. Though, those are basics of service. They won’t lose stars, but also will not redeem stars lost. The place has potential. Honestly, may have been more forgiving and given 4 stars but the host set a bad tone from the start.

I remember seeing this place when it was being renovated during covid. But then a friend recommended and i had no idea it had open. They did a good job on making it open and spacious. One side is a bar and it stays open until 10 pm. I can early in the morning for breakfast and I was not disappointed. I ordered the lemon Ricotta pancakes and the churro waffles. I was immediately blown away by the favor and sherr size of the portions. Everything was just right. The staff was attentive and nice. I only had breakfast here so far but I gave it a 5 for the food, service and the fact I don't have to go all the way to walnut creek, Oakland or SF just for good quality food. This place is a win for Antioch.

Family brunch was fun at Monica's. The chicken sandwich was all bread and no chicken. But otherwise the food was gd.

This restaurant has an excellent ambiance by the water which is really nice when enjoying a good meal. I ordered surf and turf eggs Benedict is pretty good👍🏽. It had 2 plump shrimp. It had steak with it. And ordered biscuits and gravy. It wasn't bad at all. Also, they have pretty good Mimosas. I got my friend and my friend a bottle of champagne for Mimosas, and the bottle was 25.00. Not bad at all Also, what's really cool about this place is that adjacent to this place is a bakery that's linked to the restaurant. I had a peppermint white chocolate cookie, which was fire 🔥 🔥🔥

The place looks amazing! The breakfast wasn't that good to me. My bacon wasn't done so I sent it back. They did try to make it again and it was still super chewy/ wiggly. The pancakes were darker than I wanted and too sweet. The potatoes were excellent! And the mimosas were wonderful. The wait staff is also a huge plus.....our waitresses were friendly and very attentive.

I've gone here now four times on different days and times, so overall, I've experienced the food wasn't seasoned, and shell pieces were in the crab. The manager told us that it's to be expected because it's crab. So that's on me for not realizing it. The biscuits and gravy were cold and bland, the carnivore omelet was burnt, and the chilaquiles had Hella oil midway through. The churror waffle was the best 👌🏽 but the Arnold palmer was all ice. The vibe was nice, but the food and service were sad, lumpys and smith's landing are better options. Go here for nightlife or just drinks, not brunch!

Food was delicious but pricey! Spacious inside but gets very noisy when there are a lot of people. Outside seating. Nice view of the river but the view gets blocked when a car parks right in front of your window. They should have not allowed parking in the back so customers can have an unobstructed view of the river. Our waitress was very attentive.

The place was very clean, service was fast (we came during the week for lunch). I love that they serve breakfast until 2pm. Our food was delicious and the price was great. I really appreciate that they split our dishes without asking, after i told them it was so hard to decide so my brother and i were going to share our dishes with each other so we could taste both dishes. The only thing i wish they would consider is letting you sit outside during lunch hours. The day was beautiful and it would've been nice to sit outside to soak up the view, not a deal breaker of course. I'll definitely be coming back!!

No reservations on Sunday, the bar is open seating but we were told the servers are busy so they get to you when they can. We ordered drinks from the bar which were very good, the live band was fantastic. I kept our table that was on the waiting list, then proceeded to order the 2 hour unlimited mimosa, $25 each, well worth it. Finally our food came.....well worth the wait. All in all worth the wait and will become a monthly brunch spot.

Updating my review. I went to the bakery and purchased $20 worth of items, including cookies and the tip was automatically selected at 20%. This was for to go. Since there was a line I tried to quickly change the amount and the only other options were for 22% and 25%. So shady! I will not be coming back here again. I’d rather take my business elsewhere. I did try to contact the restaurant or bakery to speak to management but no one picked up the phone. I’ve been here a few times. I like that there’s a river view, which is calming and scenic. This last time that I came the music was overwhelmingly loud. The dishes have been good and they are fairly creative. For instance, the corned beef of the corned beef hash is Texas-sized. It’s usually busy so plan strategically when you want to come. There are different seating options both in and outdoors. I like the modern aesthetic- glass, wood and steel.

Food was good. And the views were nice. Service was definitely lacking. Had to ask 3 different people 4 times for plates, napkins, and silverware. After 20min of waiting, our food was cold. There were flies everywhere too, and multiple full trash bags sitting by the door.

Delta view dining at its best. We’ve visited twice. Once for brunch. We both had the crab sandwich, as crab lovers we had to. It was delicious. We also had the mimosa flight. It’s a great deal for sampling while you dine. The second time we enjoyed a cocktail before venturing off somewhere else. There was a band playing that day. Very entertaining. It’s a great place to hang with family and friends.

Nice atmosphere. The service was good but slow. The food was really average. The views of the Delta were very nice. We won't be going back. We're foodies and expected better food for the price!

This was my first time here at Monica’s Riverview and it was a great experience you can see cargo ships and speed boat / sail boats go by as you eat afterwards you can walk the marina the restaurant parking fills up quickly but you can park out on the main road worth my trip from Stockton

The place was packed which was to be expected as it was a Saturday, but we'll after "brunch" hours. I held out till about 1 pm,but the wait was still looking to be about 45 minutes. There was seating in the bar, however, my knees won't hold up long it chairs as high as the one at the surrounding bar area tables,so I requested a seat outside. They said there wasn't any disabled tables,so I requested the one lone seating at the end of the patio. I was told it wasn't available,so I decided I'd get my food to go and sit outside somewhere near the adjacent pier or grassy area on other side of RR tracks. Either or,it took as long for my meal as it would of if I was dining in. No one was ever seated at the outdoor spot that would of made my meal more enjoyable to the atmosphere. Yet I would of gravitated outdoors anyway as the music was already louder than the chatter. I finished my $16.95 Crushed Cucumber cocktail( it was good), but pricy when added to my meal, which was $23.95 for "THE Frenchie." The bill plus tip out the door for my single dining experience came to over $51.00. plus an additional $5.00 for dessert, which was well worth the price and portion. There were many enticing choices, but I ventured for the PINA COLADA BREAD PUDDING. It was amazingly moist, not soggy and filling to which I only ate half, saving the rest for later, which I warned up. The service seems a little uninformed and unorchestrated, since it appeared the employees stuck to only the customers in their sections. It was rather busy, but it also doesn't take that much more time or effort to address another table while focused only on the one your serving. As it turned out,my departure was well timed to go outside to eat my food as the music was turned all the way up and you could no longer hear chatter. Overall, I want to go again and try a breakfast dish.

Lunch was great. I gad the steak sandwhich with cut steak pieces. Flavor was so good. Service was very friendly and attentive. Smores Mocha was delicious. Nice clear day and the water looked appealing. I've heard this place does live music on Sat afternoons and Sunday brunch. Sat night turns up with DJ at night in the bar. Definitely coming back. Day and night

Great menu, the breakfast is really good. I also got a veggie burger and sweet potato fries but I forgot to take a picture. Average price for a breakfast item is about $20, lunch is about $30. Nice venue, right on the lake/river, indoor and outdoor seating, good bar, live music, this place has it all. This was my first time here but I’ll be going back.
