Went there with cat. Cat didn't eat, drink, move, no toilet , he was vomating green etc. Cat was there for 2 days, they charged me nearly £500. Cat came back home, but no difference. They said it's na infection and will be alright. They said have done scans, ultra sounds, something else. Tablets they gave us home for a cat, did not work at all, so we brought other tablets from other country, to help the cat, cause we had a thought that his bowel is blocked for some reason. Obviously I phoned firmount every day, but they were ignorants, it was every time like "infection going on". After 14 days of no eat, no drink, he went finally to the toilet and what came out......??? 8" of green nylon rope!!!!! So if they would really get those scan, ultra sounds etc done, they would see that piece of rope blocking the bowel!!!!! How can they call themselfs a vets, if they are ignorants and liars???!!!! I can't believe they have nothing done and lie to us, that it's been done do much.... I am very disappointed about their attitude....

Do not go here. I insist DO NOT USE THIS VET SURGERY! Too many stories to write and too many years of bad experiences in this clinic. We stayed loyal to them after more than one incident and recently we had to leave. Too many red flags with our animals, never will I take any animal to this practice again.

My wee man was in for a few days treatment there and he didn't make it unfortunately. But honestly first class care from the nurses and the vet John. We were well updated throughout and they kept my wee old man nice and comfortable right up to the end. All these staff should be commended for the compassion and heart they show. Wouldn't take my pets anywhere else

This was our dogs first time at Fairmount and I can't say anything bad about it, from we went in the front door we were grated by a very pleasant receptionist I must say that you could eat of the floor there was no smell of animals at all, then we went to the vets and it was the same no smell and all stainless steel the vet was very good with out dog she hasn't been very often she is a Japanese Ankita and was quite relaxed, I would highly recommend Fairmount vet's.

Firmount took in our boy Sydney after he was hit by a car and the police contacted them. He lost an eye and had a broken jaw which he had surgery for. They looked after him so well and we got updates everyday for 10 days until he was fit to come home. John the vet was great and all the nurses and reception staff. Thank you for saving our boy and for all that you do 🐈 😻

Very nice team. John was very reassuring and sent me home with a plan for new puppies tummy woes, and something to help her gut to recover.

Horrible experience today bringing my cat for injections. First waited 35 minutes to get seen ( 3 people that arrived after me went in before me ). Then the vet has been uncaring. Charged me £25 for a 2 minute visit. On top of that they want to charge me £140 to pull half a tooth from my cats mouth. This is an absolute disgrace. I will not use their services again. Shame on you

Best vets, I live in Belfast and travel to Antrim for my Yorkie to be treated. My wee boy is currently in their care as he was vomiting dehydrated and has a high ttemperature, they keep an anxious owner like myself informed about him and how he is doing every step of the way. I would highly recommend Firmount if you love your furbaby and want the best care. Thank you to all the staff for being so helpful and caring x

Our 6month old puppy cut her head yesterday evening and needed stitches. We live in Ballymena and couldn't get a local vet to treat her. Our own vet suggested that we go to a practice in Belfast, where we would have to wait on an available slot and where the out of hours fee is £260 before treatment. Thankfully, I rang Firmount Vets, who offered to see her straight away and were absolutely fantastic - also nowhere near £260! If you want a vet who chooses compassion for your pet over greed, then I'd highly recommend Firmount Vets.
