Good place ! Nice vazaha place offering good french (cheese !) and asian (tempura, sushi, gyoza..) food and drinks. Was so nice to have a change and get some craft beers from a malagasy microbrewery (“Red Island”). Vazaha price, around 60000ar (16usd) for the 2 beers and dumplings. Owner was quite friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and cosy.

Nice restaurant and one the best in Antsirabe. The owner is a French national and quite welcoming. The menu mainly European is quite original that you will not see in many other places. Food is tasty and you get value for money. More appropriate for expats and tourists that for the locals.

It was a great evening. Beautiful quiet place. Amazing staff. Very good food. Raclette, the carnivore platters, and the salads.... are so gooood i love it. It's cozy to have Dinner. It is a very quiet Restaurant. Thank you so much.

Nous y avons mangé des tapas, bu deux bières belges et dégusté de la raclette. Portions généreuses, produits de qualité. On apprécie le poêle à bois dans la salle pour réchauffer l'atmosphère. Le staf est très gentil, prévenant et serviable. Allez y les yeux fermés!

Wow! Washed rind, aged goat cheese. The owner buys the the young cheese and ages it here, and it’s worthy of five stars

Really liked this place. It was cozy, the people were very friendly and what can you say about Sam ? Mine host was always friendly unless France got beat at rugby ! Make L’insolite your first stop off for great food and a drink when in Antsirabe you won’t be disappointed. Cheers Sam

Food acceptable but very rude staff in special the chief waiters. I am not sure if they are rasist with white people but them attitude are very bad.

Guide accompagnateur à Madagascar

Is the first time in my life when the restaurant personnel refuse to gave us one additional chair (we were 3 persons). This kind of rude and impolite personell ruins the reputation of this beautiful city and country and scares the tourists. I advise the tourists to be carefull and to avoid this restaurant!!!

IMO best restaurant in Antsirabe.

One of the best restaurants in Antsirabe. The cheese dishes are incredible, made with local cheeses, and the menu is large and varied. There are also two small shops where you can buy meats and cheeses and souvenirs.

Amazing French restaurant (local cheese) and Thai food. Well decorated and the best food we had on our trip so far for a no-braining price (€4-€5 for a main course)
