A really important historical site in the middle of the park. Being the command centre for the Belgian section of the Atlantic Wall, this bunker complex is quite large and spread across the site. Unfortunately the opening times are very restricted and this what would really improve the site is if it was open more often. Please check their website to avoid disappointment!

I flew from the US and only came to Antwerp for this museum but we showed up on a closed day. I didn't expect the park to be open but the gate was unlocked so we went to go in and we're stopped by a person who is in the group restoring the museum. The very kind Steven let us into the park and gave us an amazingly informative private tour. I cannot thank him enough for his time. They've done a wonderful job putting this exhibit together and I highly recommend you make this a stop when you're in Belgium.

Great facility. A bunker is open once a month on the first weekend. Costs €4. Children up to 12 years free. With guidance in German or English, Dutch Flemish. Originally furnished a must for anyone interested in history. There are several bunkers and a hospital there. But unfortunately all of them are closed except for one. The bunkers are in a large park where you can take a nice walk and at the end of the park there is a small castle with several buildings. All highly recommended.

Hidden place, we came upon it by accident. Very interesting info for the WW2 and the role of antwerp. They put great effort in restoring the banker, so you actually get an idea of how it used to work. The guide was very informed, spoke good english and was very energetic and eager to explain stuff to us. Only open for the first weekend of every month, we got the idea they are volunteers.

(Translated by Google) Items: 1. bunker: context, structure and accommodation, strategic importance. 2. V1 and V2 bombs, extensive. Extremely instructive for all ages from 6 years. One of the most motivated guides we have ever experienced, also as a volunteer. Check opening days via website. Can be combined with a park walk. Sufficient parking space on public roads. Recommended! (Original) Items: 1. bunker: context, opbouw en accomodatie, strategisch belang. 2. Openingsdagen checken via website. Valt te combineren met een parkwandeling. Voldoende parkeerplaats op openbare weg. Aanrader!

(Translated by Google) A place where everyone has almost certainly passed once but has never looked at the bunkers. A very nice piece of history that has been well preserved in the Antwerp Brandt park. A few times a year you can get a guided tour and the highly motivated guides will take you to the information that can be found about the world war. The tour goes through a machine room, sleeping place for the soldiers, a few other rooms and of course the room of the commander where the big Hitler flag is still hanging on the wall. There are also stories to be found of aircraft that have been shot down during world war and where they have traced back the occupants in their family in order to finish the necessary communication with them. Definitely worth a visit.

Great museum A well-preserved bunker. The staff there are very friendly and explain everything that is going on around this place to everyone in different languages with the utmost dedication. Unfortunately, the museum is only open once a month and is quite hidden in the park "Den Brandt" behind the castle. But it's certainly worth a visit for just €5. Top.

I wish that the map of this place upon entering was more well-marked because we had trouble finding the biggest bunkers. All of the signs were also only in Dutch, so we couldn’t understand them and that’s probably why we had trouble navigating it. The area and the park was beautiful, though, and we were able to locate a couple of the bunkers.

This is a hidden gem in Antwerp. We contacted the museum when we arrived on Saturday and they arranged the tour for the next day. Olivier was very informative and enthusiastic about his subject. We learned a lot about the strategic importance of Antwerp during WWII. The museum is run by volunteers and the tour cost €50 for the 4 of us. We were there for about 2.5 hrs. Thank you Oli for a fascinating insight into the war in Antwerp.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, this museum and bunker complex cannot be visited now due to corona conditions. Given its importance in history, I will definitely return for a visit to see the inside of the bunkers and soak up the atmosphere. The De Brandt park was during W.O. 2 the headquarters of the German 89th Army Corps in command of the Belgian and Dutch section of the Atlantic Wall. The wall thickness of these bunkers was 2 m. Making them bombproof. The year of construction was 1943. On the day of the Normandy landings (06/06/44), the administration functioned from these command bunkers. They were abandoned two months later, just before the liberation of Antwerp.

(Translated by Google) Notwithstanding the website that the museum was open on Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, the museum was closed !!!! After we had a coffee in the park and walked past the bunker where someone happened to close the gate. Since my partner was only in Antwerp for a few days and had to return to the UK the next day, I asked if she could look around just as quickly. The man at the entrance (Olivier) spoke excellent English, showed us in and gave us an extensive tour of almost 2 hours. He showed us all the rooms, each with a very interesting explanation. He told us that more V2 had been fired at Antwerp than at London because of the strategic importance of the port and the supplies that had to be passed along it. We found out that Antwerp had fired more V2 rockets than London, because it was an important port to bring in supplies. Olivier is one of the most knowledgeable guides we have ever had (and we have already visited numerous museums inside and outside Europe). The question everyone asks is "Was it worth it?" Without a doubt YES YES YES !!!!!!! I recommend it to everyone. Congratulations Olivier and the whole team of volunteers. I myself am from Antwerp and to be honest, I did not know this hidden gem. The city of Antwerp should give more publicity to this and fully support such projects financially. Well done to Oliver and the volunteers of the Antwerp Museum. Thanks again Olivier and the other volunteers.
