We booked this place for 2 days but decided to stay only a day. We booked 2 triple rooms Negatives: - [ ] The pool was out of service and it wasn’t informed to us at the time of booking. We pay for all the facilities including the usage of pool. It has not been cleaned for ages. When we questioned about it, they didn’t bother to explain. - [ ] In one of the rooms, the AC wasn’t working. Some men came to fix it and therefore had to wait for hours to get washed up as there was no privacy. - [ ] Only one water bottle and one roll of toilet papers were given for a triple room. - [ ] The rooms were full of mosquitoes and flies. We went with our 4.5 months old baby and luckily we had the baby mosquito net for him. There were no mosquito nets placed in the rooms. - [ ] Wifi credentials were displayed in the room but none worked. - [ ] The restaurant was full of flies and mosquitoes. They didn’t even bother to cover food before serving. We requested to have dinner inside the room because of mosquitoes but they didn’t agree to it. It was very poor hygiene. Some positives: - [ ] The food was delicious - [ ] Friendly staff Overall, our experience was bad and therefore we don’t recommend this place, especially for families with kids.

Now its more than 30 minutes that we orderd....still food is not available onthe table...olny one person ia there in the kitchen with one wok...please atleast add another cooking unit....also atleast management has to go through reviews given by the customers.... Most of thay said about the delay of service, if you plan to run like this there is no any longtime servival. Even no any repeat customers...Very bad experiance we had

- We booked 5 rooms and one of the rooms wasn’t ready when arrived. - The rooms were not properly cleaned. I am not sure whether they follow hygiene rules as this is a pandemic season. - Dinner was 45min late. They even messed up the order. - Bathroom door was broken. - Coffee stains were all over the bench top and the wall next to it. - One of the bathrooms were very stinky due to bird poo. - Coffee cups, mini bar fridge were very dirty. - Rooms were dusty. Therefore not sure if the rooms were properly hygiene or not. - Electric kettles were rusty. - No toiletries (Shower Gel, Shampoo etc) provided. Only 2 small soap bars were provided. - Towels were dirty and had multiple stains - Wifi didn't work. Had to complain few times but they couldn't fix the issue. - No security box were provided - Pool was not cleaned and not ready. - No facility to buy any kind of foods or drinks in the afternoon until the dinner - Dinner plates had few metal pieces and a mosquito. They says they have many facilities but at least 80% of them are not true. Not worth for the money. They say this is a 3 star hotel but it is a low level dumping yard.

Worst experience ever! Their customer service was so bad, waited for about 20 mins to waiters to come and they neglect their customers and it took 1hour to get the meel ! soo bad experience.

We are so glad we chose this place to spend some quality time with old school friends. It was a rainy day and still the surrounding looked sooo good   The staff is really friendly and greeted us with their warm smile throughout their service. We used the pool despite the rain and even the pool was clean. And the food was really good and worth the price… will definitely going there again

This place was an excellent value for money. Nice service for a cute boutique hotel. The rooms are spacious and bathroom clean and large. Nice view on the paddy fields. Less than 3 km from the temple. The food was also good with choice for local and western cuisine.

They take time like they are taking flight to Italy to bring some pasta 🤦🏻‍♂️ we placed order and went to eat pizza in another place and then drank beer in local pub then returned to kubura resort. But still the order isn’t ready. Don’t know about taste of the food since we still waiting for food.

Great location, ample parking space. Love the concept, around 3 villa with the paddy field view for accommodation. Staff at the restaurant were slow and rude. We were the only ones dining and the order was super simple. They messed it up. Food was great and tasty.

We were there for two nights, although the room was okey, the service was not. Took forever to get information from the waiter in the restaurant only to find out that there nothing available. On top of that they had some locals near the pool blasting loud techno music, so if you wanted to relax after a day of exploring it was impossible.

Good service. Food is expensive. But a good place to come with friends and have a nice chat.

This is one of my favorite places. The desserts must be sprinkled with crack because I just craved for more and more. I found the ambiance to be very charming. Everything was just so yummy. I would eat here every day if I could afford it!

Nice place, but a bit close to the main road so you will hear quite some activity/noise during daytime. Also there is a tuktuk driver who stays in the reception and is a bit pushy to bring and guide you around. Other staff is friendly though.

We went there for the dinner. Quite calm and peaceful place. Surrounding also not bad. Lot of variety are available. We took seafood noodles and seafood fried rice. It’s very tasty and I think they are not adding MSG. One portion is enough for two persons. Per heads portions are not available. So mix fruit juice also so delicious. If you want to take beer , wine or any other liquor, you may. Good place to visit again.

This is a review of their restaurant service - NOT rooms. Visited twice during the last month for dinner -with friends. Excellent food. Outdoor seating available in the garden. Food takes a bit of time to prepare - may be because they were running short of staff due to the corona issue. Can be crowded (once had to go and search for some other place - did not book in advance) - so parking and seating options may be over if you get late. Does not serve alcohol.

We needed a place for to stop for one night and we came across Kubura Resort. It was cheap and value for money. We paid for a room and breakfast. For the price we paid, we feel that it was good value. You can see the rice paddy fields from the rooms and balconies. There is a swimming pool also. It was a good location to be picked up by Tuk Tuk to see some of the Stupa’s and other historical buildings.

We stayed there on last week but we were really disapointed with some of incidents, rooms are ok. But resturant staff gives priority for foreigners, so book only rooms and you can enjoy your meals from outside.There are good places around there than this hotels' food..

We had a family stay at this resort. It is situated facing a rice field, and location-wise, it's very beautiful and convenient. Pool was very clean. The food was delicious, and they have a restaurant on-site. However, the rooms and amenities need some maintenance. Price for value is average.

More spacious rooms with a very good ensuite bathroom. Clean and tidy. Restaurants offer delicious meals with good portions. Highly recommended to stay. The experience with Kubura Resort, Anuradhapura was really calm, and relaxed. The properties were very neat and cleaner. The resort staff was very friendly. You can discuss anything, and get it done if possible to do so very easily and quickly. The location is very easily accessible, and a 10-15 minute drive to the main attractions. Cannot forget the taste and quality of the foods, which is outstanding. You can feel that no artificial ingredients are found in any of the foods being served. We are served by a very friendly staff member "Kalana". Thank you very much for making our stay memorable. Highly recommended. When we 1st arrived after a 5 hrs on the road, they made us wait as the rooms were still getting cleaned. Even though it was pass checking time. We booked 4 rooms for 2 days. 1. Pool was disgusting, it was not cleaned. Leaves everywhere. They blamed the rain saying it made the pool dirty. However we couldn't use the pool for both the days. 2. One of the rooms had a drainage issue and dirty water was coming out from the showering area middle of the night. No one was available in the reception reception untill next day 8. Security gard was hesitant to call the staff to inform. Despite the people who was in the room couldn't sleep or wash they took their own time to come and fix it the next day. 3. Breakfast was amazing, however after ordering dinner our expectations dropped to zero. The food was watery. The potions was enough for 2 people even though they said it's for 4 people. And it very expensive. 4. Had to request to refill our water, tea and milk. As they didn't do it in the 2nd day. 5. No towels in the room, and when we requested they got us face and hand towels saying the body towels are all being used. But we never got any for both the days. 6. There were 3 boys who served us, they were helpful and had good service skills. Overall, I would say it rather to book somewhere else, even though there's some positive feedback. Because it's not worth the money that you spent.

We visited the restaurant on our way to Jaffna for dinner. With a name like "Kubura", which means paddy field in Sinhala, and the theme, decor etc. centered around traditional Sri Lankan elements (clay pots, plates with the Sinhala alphabet for "K") one would expect that the food menu follows the same. But I was surprised to find that the menu was Chinese/Mongolian. And the funny part was that the Sri Lankan items were crossed off! While we ordered few fried rice and noodle items, which were decent in taste, was a good amount for the group that we were etc. we would have preferred if the menu provided traditional Sri Lankan food or at least a modern take/twist on the traditional elements. It feels like a big mismatch between what the hotel stands for and the menu which is Chinese. They need to revamp this and take proper consideration on how all the elements come together. If their menu comes up to par, then you will see more visitors just coming for the restaurant itself. This is my humble suggestion to the management. On another note the service was excellent. Our server was really helpful in choosing items for us and was considerate in all our requests. He even spoke Tamil, which was a pleasant find in a city like Anuradhapura. The pool area looked really inviting. The graffiti art-piece in this area was great but again I wish it went with the Sri Lankan theme.Again this makes me think that there is some sorta confusion with what the hotel is and what it is offering. If it all comes together seamlessly it would prove to be a very poplar destination!
